i have a good running and driving 65 bel air. it was customize a little by the previous owner. the back seats have the previous owners sons name stitched into them. theres a few minor pieces missing but the hard part is done. you can make this vehicle your own or customize it to your liking. body and paint are nice. engine does show signs of leakage. air cleaner is missing. i dont know which i6 it has in it so i stated it was the 230 ci but i am unsure. i was going to swap a sbc 350 and a 700r4 in it anyway but came across another project so this one has to go. there is a boom box and some amps in the trunk, alarm system, wire wheels with like new white walls. this is not a showroom restoration so please do not expect it. the odometer is only 5 digits so i cant guarantee mileage is accurate. i am a private seller so cash in person only.

This car runs and drives nicely & the brakes are working well. It will make someone a really nice driver with a repaint. It is also a good start to a street rod type build if desired. I just got this car recently and thought I would repaint it this winter. My wife said neither she nor the kids will ride in this with no seat belts.. I found another 57 with good paint and a bolt in roll cage with belts so I have to get this one sold. This car spent it's entire life in Monmouth IL where it was sold new. The 3rd owner worked at the local Chevy dealer where he restored it in 1985 with new rockers, quarters and original style interior. I have a few old pictures of the restoration that show the new rockers and lower quarters. More recently, the car has had a brake job with new wheel cylinders, new fuel tank and sending unit along with various small mechanical repairs. The floor and frame are solid but covered in undercoat. I will get the car on jack stands soon and add images of the underside. All GM parts were supposedly used on the car with the exception of the right rear bumper, which is aftermarket. That piece has peeling chrome and needs to be replaced. For about the last 10 years this car was sitting in a barn under a car cover. Moisture got under the paint and popped it in many places and blistered all over the car. I picked off the paint in several places to be sure it is metal under the paint and not body filler. This is really a solid car that just needs stripped down and painted. It is not full of body filler. The interior is holding up well but does have some staining on the passenger door panel as shown. The headliner is original and also has some stains. The stainless all looks really nice. All the chrome looks like it will polish up nicely except for the right rear bumper. The engine is still running strong and the powerglide shifts well. They are both dripping a little oil after parking it but that is to be expected. You will need to replace the exhaust. The tail pipe has separated from the muffler. The gas guage is not currently working. You can see there is still nearly full tread on the bias ply tires. Pick up in Springfield IL or use Uship or similar logistics companies to arrange shipping. If you don't live too far away you, could drive this home. I drove it about 100 miles at 70mph with no issues. You are welcome to come view in person or send a representative for an inspection. Up for sale is my 1957 chevy . Nice car , starts right up , runs and drives well . Motor is a 283or 265 with dbl hump head ( poss vette block ? ) Installed is a new holley 600 cfm polished carb , new cap , rotor , plugs and wires . new thermostat . New aluminum polished radiator with trans cooler. The turbo 350 trans in the car now is being cooled from a trans cooler mounted in front of the radiator New header gaskets , the exhaust is about two years old with glass packs . The frame is straight and solid .Drivers side floorboard has been repaired with sheet metal but would need a replacement floor pan eventually. The rest of the floor pan and the trunk look solid, the body mounts and the inner and outer rocker panels should be addressed in the next couple years Paint is in good condition except for top of roof where it is cracking and there are about three - 2" to 3" circle patches, where the metal is showing and the painted cracked off. New door and trunk weather-stripping. All the exterior chrome is there and is in great shape . Interior is complete with new carpet installed last year , door panels all in great shape ( no rips or tears ) Headliner is black and has no rips , tears or sagging. The dash is in great shape , gas gauge and speedometer inop , the oil pressure gauge , volt gauge and temp gauge are working fine. I am not sure of the mileage on this engine $500.00 deposit due upon end of auction , balance due in seven days. Overall not a bad car , you can drive it around and enjoy it while restoring it!

The car was recently bought to hot rod but it's worth restoring, everything is original except for front seats (it has bucket seats in it now), and it runs and drives. Car was bought from the second owner who bought it 15 years ago, drove it 10 miles to his barn, and parked it. There are few spots of rust repair needed but for the most part it's a solid car. The trunk is completely solid, the lower quarters need touched, and where the floor meets the rockers needs to be touched. It has the original headliner in good condition, gauges work, dome light works, and all the glass is there. The car is a 3 on the tree manual, the clutch works great, all the gears work, it accelerates good for being started for the first in 15 years.
