Up for sale is a 1953 Chevy Bel Air. This is a running driving car. It is a one owner car with clear Kansas Title. Very Solid and very straight for the year. It was last tagged in 1983 in the state of TX. List of parts new on the car, brand new radiator, starter, fuel tank and sending unit, fuel pump, carburetor has also been rebuilt, brand new battery, and plugs wires and cap. This car fires right up and runs through all the gears like it should. It is an inline 6 engine with a three on the tree. The shifter is tight and like it was new. The car has the original mileage on it at 10,789 miles on it. Breaks work like they should as well. Fires right up and runs smooth! Interior is all there minus the headliner, the bows are there but missing the canvas part of it. All glass is good except for passenger rear door glass. It will need tires if someone is wanting to drive it daily. But that would be about it other than interior. This car was taken to a professional body shop for restoration. Unfortunately the shop closed and abandoned the project without our knowledge. We have recently been able to recover the car and offer it for sale at this time. The condition of the car is excellent with all body work complete and in primer for a "ready to paint" condition. It has set for several years inside protected from weather so there will need to be some close inspection of the body prior to painting. The fenders, doors, inner fenders, hood, and trunk lid are also sanded smooth in primer as well. The car is currently completely disassembled and on a rotisserie. The rotisserie goes with the car. I had all the parts of the car in my possession the whole time and the body shop only had the body and body parts. So, I know that I have all the parts to the car except as follows: rear window and windshield. The engine and transmission were taken from this car when it was in good running condition and have been stored inside. The seats are still covered in original upholstery. The head liner bows are with the parts but the head liner will need replacing. The stainless has been polished. Clips for it will be needed as will rubber seals around windows, doors and heat/ventilation areas. Motor and transmission mounts will be needed. Several miscellaneous rubber or clip parts will be needed in the course of assembly. An assembly manual will go with the car showing step by step procedures. All the repair and parts manuals I have will also be included. The frame has been sand blasted and painted black by another body shop and is ready for assembly. The car is offered complete as described above from the tires to the top of the roof and everything inside. Best wishes. Air Ride Technologies front suspension with adjustable shocks, tubular A-arms, manual rack and pinion steering, Wilwood discs on all four corners. This Marine, now in his late 70’s has taken excellent care of this car and obviously garaged it and has driven it very little in recent years. In fact, he told me that he had it tuned up about 25 years ago, the last time he had any work other than servicing done on the car. Recently, his daughter told her Marine dad that she wished he would go ahead and sell the car so that she wouldn’t have to mess with it later on. We have included photos of the cars most obvious flaws, including rust blisters under the paint in the door corners, and, the rear braces in front of both rear wheel are rusted. This Marine, now in his late 70’s has taken excellent care of this car and obviously garaged it and has driven it very little in recent years. In fact, he told me that he had it tuned up about 25 years ago, the last time he had any work other than servicing done on the car. Selling my 1963 Bel Air Wagon. Has 1968 Nova/Chevelle 250 6 cylinder motor, thats according to a chevy site i ran the numbers on. Motor runs very well and has new clutch, fuel pump, plugs, wires, points, brakes, packed wheel bearings, all u joints, carrier bearing, wheel cylinders, master cylinder. Carb rebuilt and starts very well. Gas tank needs cleaned but not rusted out (very hard to find). Front floor pans need replaced someday but the rest of floors are very solid and not rusted out. Bottom of each front fender is rusted and bottom of tailgate needs repair but not bad. Fold down seats work fine. Tailgate operates fine and window rolls up n down , so do the other windows. Door latch on passenger side needs new latch, other doors close fine. Front seat has seat cover on it and will need redone sometime. Second seat is very nice original. Spare tire well not rusted. This is a 6 passenger wagon . Rear interior tailgate panel is off so u can inspect the tailgate. Bottom of tailgate needs patch panel but not too bad. Has all trim. Hood springs need replaced. Needs new tailpipe and muffler. Nice tires and wheels. Clear KS title in my name. Just a good solid wagon compared to a bunch of them I have seen and you don't see a 63 very often. Had it about 4.5 years. Took all the smog crap off and plugged all the spots were smog rail mounted, so no intake leaks. Headliner stitching out just above driver, rest of headliner not bad at all. U need to restore the wagon but can drive it while u do. If you can't work on cars don't buy this car and gripe about it later. Arrange your own shipping please, i will help any way possible.
