In 1972 Mopar took the car of the year for 1971 and max up the volume on the cool knob. They kept the great curves of the 1971 body and redesigned the nose and tail panel. Many Mopar gurus argue daily whether a 1971 GTX is better looking than a 1972 GTX. And most would agree that a 1972 has a cooler grill and taillight panel over the 1971. In fact, 1972 GTX simulate the jet-fighter aggressive-ness. The original matching 440 is Hi-Po version (HP2 stamp on engine pad). The rear-end is 3:91 sure-grip (posi-trac). The Hi-Po 440 produce a massive torque, each time you floor the gas pedal, it stuck you in the driver seat, hard. Car is mean and aggressive. I have installed the new $500 US Radiator for better cooling. The original 26" #3574611 radiator will included. Body: Beautiful, excellent shape, no rust. High quality job, undercarriage restoration, done by Central Dodge Dealer in MA. Roadrunner Decor Group, A87 package. Trim everywhere including wheel lip mouldings. Dual racing mirrors, 3-speed wiper. Few little nicks on the body. The rear louver need re-paint. Its not trailer queen but I would rate it 8 out of 10. Interior: AC has been converted to R-134A, ice cold. Tinted glass, tachometer, woodgrain console, rear speaker. Small cuts in driver seat, one crack in dash cover (see last pics); The gas gauge & oil gauge shot, need to be replaced (the engine oil pressure is good). Suspension: Heavy duty Ralleye suspension. HD firm drive shock absorber. Power Steering. Manual brake. Front and Rear sway-bar. The Rear sway-bar is the major advantage of 1972 Roadrunner-GTX.
