There are a ton of photos and a few videos after the description below. Please review all content, ask any questions, and/or come and see this classic in person in order to feel completely comfortable in bidding on this classic!!! I have a 100% feedback because I put a bunch of photos and videos of the vehicle. If you want to buy a classic car that looks good in 10-20 photos, then buy someone else's classic. But if you want to see 70+ photos and a few videos of the car actually running and driving, here's the Muscle car for you. 1972 Plymouth Road RunnerHurst Pistol Grip4 Speed w/ 440 Big Block Classic Road Runner Curious Yellow paint color with black strobe stripes and rear spoiler. A light metallic was added to the strobe stripes and spoiler. Somehow the stripes and spoiler still appear to be satin, but then have pearl that can show in the light. There's a walk around video of this beauty after this description. The Road runner decals along the rocker panels and rear vanels are just decals and can be removed. Interior is a Black bucket seat 4 speed console interior. The front buckets and rear seat are in good shape. The dash is in good shape, but there is a crack. Included in the sale is a brand new dash cap. The interior isn't perfect, but it's in decent condition. Get in and have fun! There's a ton of pictures of the interior too after this description. The 440 was built out, but is not the original motor. It runs very strong. This Road Runner is a fun to drive! The trans is an 883 4 speed manual with a close ratio Hurst Pistol Grip shifter. The trans was also rebuilt less than 4k miles ago. The rear is a 8 and 3/4's rear set up with a low cruising gear of 3.23. So, this Mopar is currently set up for cruises and drives. But with a change of the rear gear this 440 4 speed can be ready for the street and strip. The previous owner is a Mopar/Road runner collector. He owned this car for 15 plus years. He's owned Challengers, GTX's, Dusters, Chargers, etc... This was his local car show/cruise car. There are three very small dents in the upper corner of the hood from one of the trophies falling on it while in their garage. Those dents are shown below. The exhaust just shook one of the trophies off the shelf. He set the Road Runner up with green LED show lights for night time cruises and car shows. The LED's are in the engine bay and around the car. There are pictures of the Road Runner lit up at night after the description. Previous owner stated that the 440 engine was a late to mid 70's Warlock 440 Mopar big block, he and his father rebuilt the engine less than 4,000 miles ago. The motor is punched 40 over. The crank is cut at 10:30 thousandths. The motor was decked and shaved creating that nice port and polished block heads. It was built with the hardened seats for the new gas, and has a 509 racing cam with a 484 duration lift. Even though the engine and trans were rebuilt some time ago, the previous owner states that they have less than 2000 miles on them. This was their classic muscle to take to the local car shows. When the engine was rebuilt all compression tests where done and checked out correctly. The previous owner also stated the engine dynoed at over 550 hp. He took great pride in the knowledge that both he and his father had regarding their passion for Mopars, and the building of performance drive-trains. The carburetor is a 1968 780 double pump Holley. The dual exhaust is a 3 inch with the correct style machine gun tips. It has all new power steering pump, alternator, battery, high torque mini starter, and a new water pump. It also has a new stronger racing yolk on the rear with the long U-bolts. They also put a new shift pack and new shift rods in it from Brewers performance, and new spicer U-joints as well. Trans also had a new brute center force clutch, throw out bearings, and flywheel resurfaced during the rebuild. There's some other miscellaneous parts like a shifter boot and tach pictured to be installed. There's a couple of videos of this 440 4 speed running after this description. Factory Mopar ralley wheels have new center caps, and are wrapped in brand new Super Sport Radials. They give this Road Runner that nostalgic look, and are also great to burn a little rubber with like it's back in the day. As stated before, this car was owned by a Road Runner collector! It maintains it's solid structure with a decent driver quality. Pictured is every body panel individually so you can see for yourself. In my opinion the frame, floors, and trunk are all very solid. The trunk floor is solid, but there was some moisture under the dynamat which did cause only surface rust. This is also pictured after the description. The body is also pretty solid too in my opinion. The two areas that could use some attention in time are the lower portion of the rear doors and the lower portion of the front of the quarter panels after the doors. There are pictures of each body panel for you to get a good understanding of the Road Runner. It's a nice rider, and all aspects are shown in all the pictures provided. Please review all pictures, videos, and ask for more if needed, and/or come and see this classic before bidding on this '72 Plymouth Road Runner 440 4 speed. The Road Runner decals along the rocker panels and rear valance are only decals, so they can be simply removed. Bottom line is that this a Real 1972 Plymouth Road Runner 4 speed in that 70's high impact yellow with Black Bucket Seats and console that is an awesome driver that looks good and drives great. It does have some signs of age like chips and small dents, but again this is a Driver. Get in, shift out some gears, and cruise! Unfortunately, there is no Fender Tag. The vin does decode to be an original 1972 Road Runner 400 car. The build sheet may be in the rear seat since it looks to be original. I have 1969 Plymouth Road Runner project, 2 dr post, 383/727 column shift that needs full restoration. I have an additional 100+ photos for serious buyers. Shoot me an email and I can send them over if you provide me an email address. Non numbers matching. I've had this car for the last 7 years in my possession. What I was told about the motor/trans is that "it has a mild cam just over .400 inch lift and 282 duration, it is very streetable, stock compression was 10 to 1 making 330 horse power and 425 foot ponds of torque. This assembly is around 9.8 to 1, the heads have been worked, and the monstrous valves gulp in even more fuel and air. The 727 is firm with a 3000 stall converter to keep it from pushing at a red light. It is a balanced assembly." Now I cannot verify that, so take it for what it's worth. I did ensure the motor turned over by hand before I put it back in the car for transport purpose and I had stored it properly. The Radiator is leaking bad, I may decide to put another one in for testing purposes as I had bought new plugs and wires to get it started, but if I do get the motor running price will go up. I had many new parts for it that I recently threw on the car for transport purposes, new hemi rear leaf springs (installed, Mancini extended spring eye and re-enforcement plate (installed), donor frame rail (installed), 2 piece trunk pan welded in but needs some massaging where it meets the back seat area, driver side trunk extension (installed), have passenger side extension as well, rear cross member (installed). full suspension rebuild kit (driver side fully on, needs torque on some components, but good enough to move vehicle), lower control arm bushings (installed), new fuel lines, new drum shoes (installed, springs, wheel cylinders (installed), new drums, drum rebuild kits, driver side full quarter skin in pic, new mopar shocks (installed). I believe rear gear ratio is 3.23. Rear end needs full rebuild. The car has a Safe T Cap fix on the front driver side frame rail (all offending rust underneath was cut out and sealed), it's solid and stronger than stock see pic, and the last 12-18 inches of the rear driver side was cut and donor was welded in, (Needs filler metal, but plenty strong, has reinforcement on the outside as well as inside the frame rail.) The wheels and tires, will need to be replaced as they are both garbage (one leaks bad, but I will use fix a flat, just to get it on a trailer when someone comes to take it), seats probably are only good for frames. Major issues in floor were patched in, but there are a few other issues, nothing major though, minor holes that could use some plugging, or if you want to do it right then new floor pans, but fine for a driver I think. Needs all wiring (This is a full restoration project) with some components completed. Floor pans are now black btw. I couldn't fit in the pics, but lower passenger side rear quarter needs work, outside wheel housings as well. It's fine for driving though. Really depends what type of resto you are looking for. I have clear title from previous owner, I will provide bill of sale from my side. Please, if your close to central, NJ. Come take a look first before bidding. I want to make sure whoever gets it is happy with it. Also as stated above, have an additional 100+ photos for buyers from out of state if need be. ONLY BIDDERS WITH 100% Feedback and at least 5 transactions please. All else will be cancelled. I reserve the right to cancel the auction at any time. Car will not leave my driveway until it's paid in full. Thank you for looking.

1970 Roadrunner. This was a "1" owner car up until 2008. The car sat under a car port for years. It was treated to a frame off rotisserie restoration. It still has its original matching number engine, trans and rear. All the original parts that were unable to be spared were saved and go with the car. There is tons of original documentation that also go with the car including the build sheet, original order form and all the original owners information. Some changes were done during restoration including adding air conditioning, adding the huge pro street look rear tires (no tub), also the color was changed from originally high impact lemon twist yellow to turquoise and white. The quality of the build is second to none. It is a flawless example of a day two Roadrunner. Please call with any questions or trade offers. John, 908-489-4200.
