That bright red pigment lays the groundwork for a blanket of traditional Saleen modifications which are tastefully designed and carefully applied. Of course, this blue oval bombshell has never seen major body work because it's a 100% accident-free showpiece that's been in the hands of dedicated enthusiasts. There's essentially nothing on the car that could be considered more than prerequisite shelf wear. Combining clean factory sheetmetal with a functional aero kit, this awesome Ford rarity is ready to parade the midway and willing to tackle the track. At the front of its body, an injection-molded valence hangs a silver "102" between a Saleen carbon splitter, a "SALEEN" branded grille and Saleen HID headlights. Behind those lights, a vented Saleen hood, which mixes added clearance with functional heat extraction, leads the eye to black mirrors and "SALEEN" branded glass that's topped by a black canvas roof. At the sides of that roof, aggressive Saleen rockers frame small stripes and subtle "S281 EXTREME" emblems. And at the back of the car, a large Saleen spoiler and custom body extensions complement a textured valence, a "SALEEN" branded bumper and a Saleen carbon diffuser that frames centered Saleen exhaust. Saleen's oft-repeated motto has always been "Power in the Hands of a Few". And with this Mustang, there's LOTS of power in the hands of VERY few. Locked, loaded and ready to roll, the 24-valve, single overhead cam monster that rumbles under the aforementioned hood is, by far, the car's biggest selling point. With its original drivetrain still intact, and boasting under 32,000 miles, this Mustang has a lot going for it. It's hard to believe that this GT is now cresting 26 years old. One, because its hard to believe that 1989 was over 25 years ago, and two, because of how good a shape this fox body is. Step back and enjoy a view straight from the final year of the 80's. Covered in a gorgeous shade of white, the body is accented by a bright red stripe that runs the length of the body. The headlight and taillight lenses are clean and clear, it's obvious this car enjoyed a pampered life. What little chrome there is, is extremely bright and this vehicle proudly wears the famous 5.0 emblems. The blue oval badges up front and out back are about as vibrant as they were when this Mustang rolled off the assembly line 26 years ago! Inside is truly where this car really shines. 1989 marked the 25th anniversary of the Ford Mustang, and if you look closely, this Fox body proudly wears the special 25th anniversary emblem on the passenger side. Featuring a two-tone red and black interior, sitting in this car is like sitting in a time capsule. Everything remains stock with amenities such as power seats, power locks, power windows, A/C, an AM/FM/cassette head unit, cruise control, and defrost. The red seats are firm and appear to have seen very little use. It's not just an 80's time capsule, this Mustang features all of the amenities we've come to know and love. Labeled with 5.0 HO, the 302 was rated to produce 240 horsepower at 4,000RPMs when it left the factory. The fuel injected engine starts up quickly, idles smoothly and barks a throaty growl when you blip the throttle. Add in power steering, power front disc brakes, air conditioning, and anti-lock brakes and now you have a Mustang that is a blast to drive. Underneath you'll find a strong automatic transmission that twists the factory rear end. Overall, the undercarriage is clean, and still visible is the factory overspray. At the corners, you will find what appears to be the original 15" rims that are wrapped in Goodyear Eagle rubber.
