And, while it's our job to facilitate transactions that make car enthusiasts' dreams come true, we also enjoy telling guests about the legendary metal that adorns our massive Charlotte showroom. That's why we simply couldn't wait to tell you about this awesome Raven Black fastback! Fully documented, wearing a fresh restoration and featuring a killer 428/3-speed drivetrain, this Ford is an excellent example of one of the finest muscle cars ever produced. And if you're a discerning enthusiast who demands the very best in high caliber, investment grade classics, it's the story you've been patiently waiting to hear! BODYWORK/TRIM Delivered to Healy Motors of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, this awesome Shelby likely spent very little time in the showroom before its big power and big style were unleashed on big city streets. After roughly four decades of excellent maintenance and accident-free driving, the car received a ground-up restoration that included stripping and reworking each of its solid panels. Once those laser-straight lines and super-smooth surfaces were adequately prepped, correct Raven Black base was buried in thick clear and decorated with precise GT500 KR side stripes. And today, this razor-sharp Shelby rolls as a first-class showpiece that can anchor any serious muscle car collection or hedge any major investment portfolio. The GT500 threw fuel on the muscle car fire by not only adding power, but also introducing some of the coolest and most aggressive Mustang styling cues ever created. At the front of this KR, a stainless-trimmed grille hangs big Lucas driving lamps between clear Ford headlights, a bright chrome bumper and bullet-style parking lamps. At the top of that grille, a familiar "S H E L B Y" script leads the eye to a correct fiberglass hood, which is founded in mirror-like stainless and like-new glass. At the sides of that glass, a straight profile hangs small scoops, ornate Cobra Jet emblems and subtle fender extensions around traditional door handles, correct chrome mirrors and dent-free rocker guards. And at the back of that profile, a smooth silver valence centers correct taillights and a detailed fuel filler between a second chrome bumper, bright reverse lamps, KR-exclusive exhaust tips and a correct, "S H E L B Y" branded decklid. ENGINE Now that you've waded through all the flowery prose about paint and trim, it's time to get down to business. Lift the car's lightweight hood and you'll find 428 cubic inches of Ford V8 that's been completely rebuilt from its big 4-barrel carburetor all the way down to its (D) April 17th (17), 1967 (7) casting date. Long regarded as one of the most iconic mills ever created, factory-supplied Cobra Jets utilized a strengthened medium block, heavy-duty rods, a nodular crankshaft, and larger valves and ports to produce an advertised 335 horsepower. At the top of the engine, ram air cowl induction centers a "COBRA JET" branded air cleaner over a high performance intake. At the sides of that intake, cast iron heads hang crinkle-finish Cobra LeMans valve covers over fully restored exhaust manifolds. The fires are lit by a familiar points distributor, which sequences sparks through fresh Autolite Radio Resistance plug wires. Cooling comes courtesy of a stock radiator, which circulates water through pliable FoMoCo hoses. And charging is provided by squeak-free belts, which spin a rebuilt alternator and correct power steering via simple black pulleys. Aesthetically, the clean engine bay appears very close to original, featuring an even combination of Satin Black and Ford Blue paint. And everything, from the car's tagged Autolite battery to its tidy Ford washer tank, appears fully sorted and ready to show. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION Take a look under this Mustang and you'll find exceedingly clean floors that are every bit as solid as the body's straight exterior panels. The tough C6 3-speed, one of 523 bolted under 1968 KRs, spins a correct Traction-Lok differential around correct 3.50 gears. At the front of that drivetrain, a rebuilt suspension centers a beefy sway bar and the aforementioned power steering between correct power disc brakes. At the back of that drivetrain, sturdy leaf springs hang correct drum brakes at the edges of a clean stainless fuel tank. At the center of that suspension, fresh exhaust pipes funnel spent gases through an H-shaped crossover, small resonators and a transversely mounted muffler. Power meets the ground through 215/65R15 BF Goodrich Radial T/As, which are wrapped around appropriate Shelby 10-spokes. And everything, from the car's stainless fluid lines to its "COBRA" branded oil pan, appears safe, lucid and ready to roll. INTERIOR Naturally, Ol' Shel focused most of his energy on the performance and appearance of America's most revered pony car. And when those attributes were combined with Ford's already excellent interior, it paid big dividends. The first thing you'll notice is a snazzy wood-rimmed, chrome-trimmed steering wheel. Behind that wheel, a great looking dash frames a correct 140 MPH speedometer and 8,000 RPM tachometer beside a correct Philco radio and requisite Carroll Shelby autograph. Opposite that dash, knitted vinyl seats are in spectacular shape, presenting hardly any evidence of use. Between those seats, a full-length console anchors small Stewart Warner accessory gauges in front of a slick Shelby shifter and correct, cobra-branded armrest. Beneath that console, like-new carpet rides tight between Shelby branded sill plates. Opposite that carpet, a Shelby-spec roll bar perfectly complements a fresh headliner. At the base of that roll bar, pliable door panels feature bright stainless trim, spotless chrome handles and clean wood accents. And at the back of the cockpit, a fully restored trunk hides a new mat, fresh decklid decals and Goodyear Speedway 350 spare. HISTORICAL INFORMATION 1 of only 1,053 KR fastbacks produced for the 1968 model year, this stellar pony is pretty much everything anyone could ask for when it comes to investment grade muscle. That's really all we need to say to build excitement for our latest investment grade Ford. Of course, the car HAS benefitted from a professional, rotisserie restoration that was completed in May of 2015. So I guess that bumps the word count to eight with: rotisserie restored Shelby Nationals Concours Heritage Gold GT500KR. Then again, it's also a fully documented piece, which lands us at: fully documented, rotisserie restored Shelby Nationals Concours Heritage Gold GT500KR. But wait, I almost forgot about its gleaming coat of killer Lime Gold pigment. So how about: fully documented, rotisserie restored Shelby Nationals Concours Heritage Gold GT500KR that's decked in correct Lime Gold 2-stage? Yeah, that sounds good. But trust us, if you like the sound of that sentence, you're going to LOVE the car it describes! BODYWORK/TRIM According to Ford expert Kevin Marti, this registry-listed Shelby was produced on May 14th, 1968 and delivered down south to Rivers Ford of Monroe, Louisiana. After four decades of excellent maintenance and accident-free living, the car was purchased by its present owner and enjoyed as a solid driver. As we all know, drivers are fun, and the car racked up quite a few MCA Concours awards in that state, but sometimes it's just better to take things to the next level. So, in 2014, this clean Mustang benefitted from a professional, rotisserie restoration that was completed by Shelby specialist Tim Lea of North Andover, Massachusetts. When the car emerged from the shop in May of 2015, everything was 100% correct all the way down to original, assembly-spec oil and air filters. And today, sporting correct Lime Gold Metallic 2-stage under familiar Shelby side stripes, it rolls as a first-class showpiece that secured a Gold at the 2015 Ford/Shelby Nationals in the Concours Heritage Class, and a Silver at SAAC 40 in Division II Concours judging. Naturally, a build this extensive involved quite a bit of original bolt-ons that, according to this KR's owner, were professionally re-plated as needed. At the front of the car, original fiberglass centers a stainless-trimmed grille behind clear Ford headlights, big Lucas driving lamps, a bright chrome bumper and bullet-style parking lamps. At the top of that grille, a familiar "S H E L B Y" script leads the eye to an original fiberglass hood, which is founded beneath mirror-like stainless and a SuperGlass-massaged greenhouse. At the sides of that greenhouse, a straight profile hangs original scoops, ornate Cobra Jet emblems and original fender extension around traditional door handles, a correct chrome mirror and NOS rocker guards. And at the back of that profile, a smooth silver valence centers correct taillights and a detailed fuel filler between a second chrome bumper, bright reverse lamps, KR-exclusive exhaust tips and an original, "S H E L B Y" branded decklid. ENGINE While the car's professionally rebuilt engine isn't original equipment, it is a highly accurate, date-correct 428. Long regarded as one of the most iconic mills ever created, factory-supplied Cobra Jets utilized a strengthened medium block, heavy-duty rods, a nodular crank, and larger valves and ports to produce an advertised 335 horsepower. At the top of the engine, ram air cowl induction centers a correct, SM8S-equipped air cleaner over a date-correct carburetor and high performance intake. At the sides of that intake, cast iron heads hang crinkle-finish Cobra LeMans valve covers over fully restored exhaust manifolds. The fires are lit by a familiar points distributor, which sequences sparks through fresh Autolite Radio Resistance plug wires. Cooling comes courtesy of a re-cored radiator, which circulates water through pliable Autolite hoses and vintage screw clamps. And charging is provided by squeak-free V-belts, which spin a rebuilt alternator between correct power steering and correct smog equipment. Aesthetically, the marked and decaled engine bay appears very close to original, featuring an even combination of Satin Black and Ford Blue paint. And everything, from the car's factory brake booster and fresh Autolite battery to its tidy Ford washer tank and fresh Autolite voltage regulator, is fully sorted and ready to show. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION Take a look under this Mustang and you'll find correct, Oxide Red floors that are such a close interpretation of the car's original foundation that they back correct Lime Gold overspray with factory-accurate paint drips. A tough C6 3-speed utilizes a correctly marked Dead Nuts On driveshaft to spin a correct Traction-Lok differential around correct 3.50 gears. At the front of that drivetrain, a rebuilt suspension centers a beefy sway bar and the aforementioned power steering between correct power disc brakes. At the back of that drivetrain, correct C7ZA leaf springs hang correct drum brakes at the edges of a clean stainless fuel tank. At the center of that suspension, fresh exhaust pipes funnel spent gases through an H-shaped crossover, small resonators and a transversely mounted muffler. And power meets the ground through E70-15 Kelsey repros, which wrap correct, KR-exclusive black sidewalls around appropriate Shelby 10-spokes. INTERIOR Naturally, Ol' Shel focused most of his energy on the performance and appearance of America's most revered pony car. And when those attributes were combined with Ford's already excellent interior, it paid big dividends. The first thing you'll notice is a snazzy wood-rimmed and chrome-trimmed steering wheel. Behind that wheel, a great looking dash frames a correct 140 MPH speedometer and 8,000 RPM tachometer beside a correct Philco radio. Opposite that dash, knitted vinyl seats are in spectacular shape, presenting hardly any evidence of use. Between those seats, a full-length console anchors small Stewart Warner accessory gauges in front of a slick Shelby shifter and correct, cobra-branded armrest. Beneath that console, like-new carpet rides tight between Shelby-branded sills. Opposite that carpet, a Shelby-spec roll bar and decaled sun visors perfectly complement a fresh headliner. At the base of that roll bar, which serves as a requisite foundation for Python-restored seatbelts, pliable door panels mix bright stainless trim and spotless chrome handles and clean wood accents. And at the back of the cockpit, a fully restored trunk sandwiches a matching Kelsey spare between a new mat and fresh decklid decal. This great looking fastback has been upgraded until it was better than a Mach 1. Now, it's your opportunity to get a powerful V8 nitrous pony, with all the right details. This pony car started out as a 02-code sportsroof hardtop, but it was destine for much more. That paint you can't take your eyes off of is a deep metallic red that is way more modern than anything from the factory, yet looks era correct. It has a huge shine, but there's a hint of a darker side, which works perfectly on this car. Not only does it contribute to the sinister attitude, but also it nicely coordinates with black features like the hood scoops, chin spoiler, and rear window louvers. No one will mistake this one for any 'ol Mustang coming down the road, thanks to nice aggressive touches like the air dam up front, the large rear spoiler, and the Mach 1 hockey stick side stripes, and rear stripe, in Argent Silver. The Foose five-star wheels are a modern touch guaranteed to leave an impression. The forceful attitude continues with an all-black interior. From the door panels, to the seats, to the dash, to the carpets, everything in this Mustang looks like midnight. There is some matching dark wood paneling, to break up a bit of this attitude, and remind you that the Mustang was a premium model during these years. But there's no mistaking that this interior was re-built with upgrades in mind. It starts with a full Pioneer AM/FM/CD stereo system, and there's even a backup camera that integrates its display smartly into the rear view mirror. This Mustang is truly setup for the driver, with a grippy small-diameter sports steering wheel for the power steering, and just beyond that is a large SunPro tach with shift light. If that wasn't enough to convince you of a huge upgrade under the hood, the B&M Pro Ratchet shifter with nitrous button sahould certainly do the trick. The engine bay is filled with Ford V8 power. The 347 cubic-inch V8 looks great with the shiny the Edelbrock topper and Ford Racing valve covers. But beyond just appearance, this one has been built for reliable performance, with features like Quick Fuel Double Pumper four-barrel carburetor, Petronix Flame Thrower distributor, Holley fuel pump, and long tube headers. And as you suspected from the mention of the shifter, there's even provisions for a nitrous oxide kit! This puts out serious power when wanted, so the motor is connected to a stout three-speed automatic with Hayden transmission cooler. The full package rockets down the road with authority, and you can drive this one with confidence. All of this has been well updated and maintained, including receipts for a transmission rebuild, brake work, and new suspension bushings and leaf springs. This is that vintage long-body Mustang of your modern dreams. It's the aggressive Mach 1 styling package appearance, with upgrades that make it feel even better gong down the road. Best of all, it's all at a value price. That's why we know it won't last long in our showroom. It's a fully restored car that has plenty of custom touches to make you love this one like the unique classic it is. The customization of this Mustang is apparent from every angle. It starts up front with the GT-style fog light grille, and the front valance borrowed from the GT350 racers. But that's not the only Shelby touch. That hood scoop, and the dual stripes running the entire top of the car, make this fastback also look snake-bitten. There's other icons at work here, too. The fresh coat of a brilliant charcoal grey paint and the 17-inch Coys will get you plenty of "Hey Eleanor!" screams by Gone in 60 Seconds (2000) fans. But beneath all these great tributes to iconic pony cars lies the heart of one of the most desirable Mustangs. It always makes us happy to see good bodylines and paint like this on first-year 2+2 cars. The custom atmosphere continues inside. A pristine black interior is always desirable in a classic, and this one really goes the extra mile. It's a bucket seat car with a desirable custom center console that features cup holders. While you'll enjoy the three-spoke sports steering wheel, and clear original gauges, your eyes will always be drawn to the dashboard. That's because of the cool custom paintwork with racing stripes that matches the exterior. This one even keeps your passengers happy with ice-cold air conditioning, running modern R-134a, and an original-style AM/FM stereo that also has an iPod hookup for more modern tunes. A full restoration on a Mustang this cool would not be complete without an upgrade in the engine bay. This one is powered by an upgraded 302 cubic-inch V8 motor, which is larger than anything the factory gave the Mustang for 1965. The upgrades continue with the attention grabbing finned valve covers, Edelbrock performance air cleaner, and GT350-style support bar. What is a bit harder to spot are features like the Holley four-barrel carburetor, and the performance H-pipe fitting to the new Flowmaster dual exhaust system. But as much as this appears to be a pure performance machine, there are plenty of features that make this Mustang everyday friendly. It includes the C4 three-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel disc brakes by SSBC Performance. This is a classic pony car that combines everything you love about the legendary fastback. Best of all, it's so fresh off a restoration that you have food in your refrigerator older than some of the work done on this coupe we'll even show you the receipts and photos to prove it. This car is very reliable and would be perfect for a teenager or somebody that wants a show ready car. This car shows well and has won two awards in car shows in the last 12 months, the most recent October 2015 at the large Charlotte Auto Show. The front bumper has minor road rash because it used to be a daily driver. The motor and transmission run very strong. Only synthetic oil used. Only 5K miles per year these last two years on car. Please review the mods listed below. Much suspension and brake work. Very unique car. The reason I am selling my car is because I want to build something new. I could part the car out for a lot more than im asking for it, I can say with 100% confidence that there isn't another car like this. Exterior: Repainted factory Atlantic blue in 2009 by Ford. Roush stage 1 front bumper. 19in axis shine rims with 1 year old with 3,000 miles on them Continental extreme contact tires 255 front and 275rear. Wilwood 6piston brakes with drilled and slotted rotors. Gt rear bumper with 3in rolled tips. Carbon fiber wrapped oem mach 1 grill delete, hood insert and side scoops. clear corner headlights, and raxiom 3rd brake light. Spoiler moved back 2in. Performance: Ported and powder coated windstar intake manifold swap. GT throttle body and custom cold air intake. Pypes race series catback. Optima battery relocated to the trunk. Ported lower intake manifold. Coil pack. Suspension: Ebaich pro kit lowering springs Steeda balljoints and bumpsteer kit. Bbk control arms. Caster camber plates. EXTERIOR COLOR: ODOMETER READING: 33913 INTERIOR COLOR : VEHICLE FEATURES & OPTIONS Factory Buildsheet, Owner's Manual, Defrost, AM/FM Radio, Cassette Player, Heat, Tilt Wheel, Vinyl Interior, Front Disc Brakes, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Seatbelts SELLER REMARKS Mustang fans, this is how you do it right. Start with the best-looking of them all, the 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1. Get it in legendary Wimbledon White, give it a burly 351 Cleveland, and upgrade for even more power. In other words, this is the perfect recipe for some serious fun. This is one of those cars that impresses you in the details. The laser straight body is the perfect canvas to showcase the amazing shine of the paint, and the contrasting matte black graphics. The Mach 1 was arguably the best-looking Mustang of all time, and with upgrades like the hood scoop, chin spoiler, hood pins, and rear wing, it certainly looks the part of a high-performance pony. Special Mach 1 pieces like the rocker panel moldings are beautifully finished, and the blacked out stripe treatment with 351 callouts have been expertly applied. Chrome bumpers look great against the white paint, and all the stainless trim has been polished up to look great. And of course there's no missing those iconic Magnum 500 wheels with the Mustang pony in the center cap. There is no better muscle car interior than black, especially with the Comfort-Weave buckets. All the right stock pieces appear in place, from the center console, to the heat/defrost controls, to the three-spoke woodgrained steering wheel. This Mustang has been thoroughly restored, and the proof is in the workmanship that has gone into keeping this interior pristine - even the clock is fully functional. An AM/FM/cassette stereo means this is adaptable for more modern tunes without looking out of place in the original radio's slot. Of course this is a burly muscle car, so the radio will always be your second favorite to the rumble of the exhaust note. Pop the hood, and you'll see something very special. This Mach 1 has a 351 cubic-inch Cleveland V8 as it should, and this one shows plenty of signs of being the factory-installed block. Plus, it was rebuilt for enhanced performance. This includes a bored .30 over kit and a 265DEH camshaft for strong mid-range performance. The whole package produces some serious power and torque, so there is added bracing in the engine bay. A dual exhaust system, with performance H-pipe, gives it a spectacular sound. The three-speed automatic transmission has been upgraded with a shift kit to deliver the best performance out of the Ford nine-inch rear that's running a versatile 3.0 ratio. This power machine also is an effortless cruiser thanks to power steering and optional front disc brakes. This one comes with everything you want, including the original build sheet, owner's manual, and big blue 351 Cleveland air topper. Beautifully built and ferociously fast, this muscular Mustang Mach 1 is ready for a Saturday night cruise and the Sunday car show. 1967 mustang coupe, 41k original miles, matching numbers, clean title in hand. Been in California its whole life so it has zero rust. Still has the original black plates! If you know anything about cars you know the importance here. Runs and drives great, but clearly needs new paint. Just bought new wheels (still in box, 17x9 '01 Cobra wheels), power steering (a great thing), new interior was installed by previous owner (black leather). With a new coat of paint it could be a killer ride, I just have too many to deal with. Text me with questions, 828-734-1911, cant talk on the phone until after 7pm. This is also for sale locally, so if it sells locally ill be forced to cancel the auction.

[email protected] 5527 Lakeview Road, Charlotte, NC, 28269, US 1967 Ford Mustang GT500 GT500 Convertible 428 FE Dual Quad V8 5 Speed 4 Link Year: 1967 Type of vehicle title: Clear Primary color: Copper Mileage: 238 Transmission type: 5 Speed Manual Engine: 428 Police Intercepter V8 Interior color: Black Vehicle Info Who can forget the 2000 remake of "Gone in 60 Seconds"? Chock-full of Hollywood A-listers, it's a fast paced, high octane classic that twists and turns through two hours of adrenaline-fueled action. Here at RK, we are always seeing recreations of the main attraction of the movie - the 1967 Mustang GT500 known as Eleanor. But every now and again we come across cars like this 1967 Mustang GT500 convertible recreation, that use the famous Eleanor as inspiration while putting modern touches on it. This 428-powered resto-mod is a brilliant mix of performance and flash. At RK Motors Charlotte, we believe the only thing cooler than a car that runs well is a car that turns heads. And this red-hot Mustang is capable of smoking vintage metal at the cruise in AND the race track! Even though this Stang had humble beginnings being a pampered Colorado car for most of its life, today it sits in a vibrant orange and packing some serious FoMoCo power under the hood. Without a doubt the first thing your eye is drawn to with this vehicle is the spectacular orange paint scheme. If you guessed that it was a custom paint color you would be right. The story goes that the previous owner was an ex-House of Kolor representative and created the custom color specifically for this Mustang. Running down the center of the custom orange is painted carbon fiber stripes that add to the incredible overall look of this vehicle. Since most classic car enthusiasts credit Carroll Shelby with introducing some of the coolest and most aggressive Mustangs ever created, it's only natural that the builder opted for a slick Eleanor inspired design. At the car's leading edge, a billet, Shelby-style grille hangs chrome-trimmed headlights, a Shelby R valence and six PIAA driving lamps. At the top of that grille, an aggressive fiberglass hood aligns twist-style pins with clear glass, straight trim and Shelby-style quarter scoops. At the sides of that hood, a Shelby profile highlights traditional door handles, chrome, bullet-style mirrors, and subtle cove scoops. And at the back of that profile, the exhaust exits out in front of the rear tires, while a sculpted decklid hangs prominent like-new tail lights and a straight chrome bumper. Pop the car's lightweight orange hood and you'll find a 428 cubic inch big block V8 that gives new meaning to the words "Go Baby, Go"! Long regarded as one of the meanest mills ever created, Ford's fabled 428 FE remains as one of the kings of stoplight muscle. At the top of the Ford Blue block, a "COBRA" branded air cleaner funnels fresh wind into a big aluminum intake via dual 4-barrel carburetors. At the sides of that carburetor, finned "COBRA 428" valve covers hang over the headers. Aesthetically, the restored engine bay appears very close to an original, featuring an even coat of Satin Black paint. On the bottom of the hood you'll find more painted carbon fiber and the letters "GT500". In front of the engine an aluminum radiator is responsible for cooling the massive Ford block. Underneath this wildly custom Mustang is just as impressive as the rest of the vehicle. Put the GT500 on a lift and you'll see that bolted to the Ford block is a Tremec TKO 5-speed manual transmission that sends power to a 3.55 posi-differential. In front of the drivetrain you'll see the fully upgraded front suspension from Total Control. Equipped with a rack and pinion style setup, you'll also find adjustable coil over springs at all four corners of the vehicle. At the rear of the car a Chris Alston 4-link suspension setup, with sway bar, ensures that no corner will get the best of this Stang. Stopping power comes courtesy of Wilwood 4-wheel disc brakes and, in front of those brakes, 17" Boze rims have been wrapped in Hankook rubber. The luxurious black leather interior is a lot like the rest of the car with a blend of modern and classic Shelby touches. The dashboard has been subtly remodeled to house bright white gauges with silver trim for a traditional, but updated appearance and much better functionality. On the floor like new black carpet flanks both sides of the upgraded center console where you'll find the controls for the 5-speed transmission. The shifter on top of the Tremec looks vintage and displays the correct 5-speed shift pattern. In front of the passenger seat you'll see where Carroll Shelby himself signed the dash. The builders declared that the project was finished only when they towed this Stang to the Shelby Museum and had Shelby himself sign the dash. Behind the driver you'll find a roll bar, and a two more seats that feature the same stitching pattern as the rest of the vehicle. The odometer shows only 238 shakedown miles since the build was completed, ensuring that this car is as good as it can possibly be. The beauty of a tribute car is that it can be anything you want it to be. Love the Shelby lines, but also want modern braking and tires? Just looking for a killer car that will wow crowds everywhere you go, and goes down the road like a much modern piece? Here it is. No compromises, no disclaimers, no excuses. This is every bit as nice as it looks in pictures, and the car's spec sheet bears out its 'no budget' build mentality. Heck, you couldn't duplicate this car for the money, and there are far less potent Mustang convertibles out there that cost more. What are you waiting for? Call now! With an upgraded 289, and the perfect shade of red, this is a fun cruiser that will serve you well for years to come. Red Mustangs always instantly attract an audience, and this one does it one better, with a unique shade that is more vivid than even the factory's Signal Red. It gives this coupe a sporty look that is continued with GT equipment, such as the fog lamps in the grille, and dual trumpet exhaust pipes coming through the rear valence. Overall fit and finish is quite good, making it the kind of car you want to drive around and show off. Chrome is bright, the stainless has been polished, and all the little trim pieces are in place, right down to the proper Mustang badges. In fact, the only upgrade you'll notice immediately are the brand new Cragar wheels. Of course these are a period-correct add-on, so this just looks like the perfect 1960s pony car. A pristine black interior is always the perfect complement to a bright red exterior. Everything from the bucket seats, to the door panels, to the carpeting carries the kind of luster that tells you this has had a proper restoration, and has always been under good care. The five-dial gauge panel became standard in 1966, which offers a sportier look and holds a complete set of gauges. A period-correct AM/FM stereo provides a nice complement to the chrome trim around the gauges, heat/defrost switches, and the three-spoke steering wheel. Of course the piece of brightwork you'll really enjoy is resting your hand on the T-bar automatic gearshift. It's perfectly matched to rest your arm on the new center console with cup holders. The whole package helps makes this classic cruiser comfortable enough for even the daily commute. Under the hood are more signs of great care, and expensive work. This 289 cubic-inch V8 looks great with the shiny elements like the GT350 brace bar, valve covers, steel braided hoses, and air cleaner. But beyond just the great-looking accessories that impress at car shows, this motor has real performance substance. The V8 breathes deeply through a Holley 650 four-barrel carburetor, and exhales with a commanding presence through headers on its way out a Flowmaster dual exhaust. It gives this Mustang a nice bark, and the horsepower bite to back it up. The three-speed automatic transmission can easily handle the extra power and keeps this classic coupe comfortably moving down the highway on longer trips. This Mustang is a standout with its GT trim and cool paint, and we even have the restoration receipts to back up its clean looks. This is a show-stopping pony car at a surprisingly affordable price. But for the few who don't see the paint, the wheels, or any of the other new aggressive touches, the 850 hp roller V8 will teach them a lesson to take notice. The deep black paint on this coupe seems to absorb the sunlight. It's that kind of bad attitude that looks perfect with the massive hood and aggressive fastback body. The '67's details work exceptionally well, with the crease along the sides standing out to give this a more muscular appearance. Of course when it comes to aggressive stances, this one is king. Those chrome five-star Billet Specialties wheels and rear fender flares try to disguise how wide the rear wheel arches are, but one look at the profile of those massive 29x18x20 rear tires, and you know this one was specially built to make sure huge horsepower can keep contact with the pavement. Inside there's nothing to get in the way of performance driving. The rear seats have been removed to make way for the roll cage and tubbed rear end. The front seats are classic and comfortable Mustang buckets. As the driver, you get the grippy Grant GT sports steering wheel. Beyond that is a full set of digital gauges that look cool, but more importantly, give a precise readout about what's going on in this performance machine. To complete this go-fast interior, there's B&M ratchet shifter. While this all looks like it's completely built for performance, there is one concession a thumpin' Kenwood AM/FM/CD stereo. It's pushing enough power out of its subwoofer that you'll probably still be able to hear your tunes while tearing up the quarter-miles. What you really want to know about this Mustang is what's living under that beastly hood. It's a big-block Ford V8. The block started out life as a 1970 Lincoln 460 cubic-inch motor, but two years ago this car was completely rebuilt, and the motor went back to square one to get serious performance upgrades. It has been stroked to 522 ci, and had goodies installed such as Bullet roller camshaft, forged crank, Mahle pistons, H-beam connecting rods, and TBM stainless steel valves. This monster motor inhales deeply through a Holley Dominator four-barrel carburetor and Edelbrock Victor intake, and it exhales with some serious authority through performance headers on its way to the dual exhaust. The total package is estimated to make up to 850 hp. Getting all this power to the ground requires the best components, including a C4 three speed automatic transmission with reverse manual valve body setup and stall converter, a stout nine-inch FORD rear end, and a 4.10 final ratio. So yes, this package is built for serious power takeoffs. But power is nothing without control. That's why this has been given a Rod & Custom coilover rack and pinion front suspension, and four-link coilover rear. Plus, there's a four-wheel Wilwood disc brake package that's backed up by those huge Mickey Thompson tires. This is the new drag king that's so freshly built there's only 220 miles on it since completion. This has the look of the ultimate classic Mustang, but the attitude and power to eat up modern machines. Because of an innate aversion to that sort of 'fine print', many enthusiasts are beginning to rethink the old purist's adage: "original is always better". And hobbyists who actually enjoy driving their vintage hardware are beginning to buy slick, fully sorted classics like this lovingly upgraded Shelby GT350. Featuring a killer 347/5-speed drivetrain that's centered in an original, fully documented shell, this Mustang will make you the star of your own 1-car parade! Looking for some awesome muscle that can be shown AND cruised? When you experience this sweet Shelby, you won't even give the word "original" a second thought! BODYWORK/TRIM Shelby's famed GT line fueled the muscle car fire by introducing some of the coolest and most aggressive Mustang design cues ever created. And, mixing correct cosmetics with a killer stance, this registry-listed coupe definitely keeps the flames stoked. The product of a nut-and-bolt rotisserie restoration, the car's all-original sheetmetal was completely stripped and carefully reworked into a top-notch thoroughbred profile. Once that intense labor resulted in better than factory fit, original fiberglass was carefully smoothed and supplemented with a KR-style hood. Eventually, that metal and glass was coated in crisp Spies Hecker 2-stage, which hosts laser-straight callouts on a fantastic, mirror-like shine. And the result is one razor-sharp pony car that looks good, runs great and is ready to turn heads for years to come! ENGINE Hoist this Ford's lightweight bonnet and you'll find a 347 cubic inch small block that utilizes a SCAT crank, SCAT rods and proven Lunati cam to twist big compression into impressive, tire-shredding horsepower. At the top of the bright blue mill, a finned Cobra air cleaner funnels oxygen through a Holley 650 carburetor, which is sequenced to a coated fuel pump, 304 stainless fluid lines and a shock proof Marshall pressure gauge. A resulting air/fuel mixture makes its way from an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake to Airflow Research 185 heads, which hide 1.550 springs and Crane Gold Race rockers under a FoMoCo breather and Cobra-branded valve covers. When those heads flood the cylinders, an MSD Pro-Billet distributor sequences spark between fresh electricals, an Autolite coil and MSD Super Conductor plug wires. Spent gases roar through TIG welded, Jet-Hot coated Tri-Y headers. Cooling is provided by a Ron Davis Double Pass radiator, which rides in front of an Edelbrock water pump and two SPAL puller fans. A rebuilt alternator spins opposite a KRC power steering pump thanks to stylish billet pulleys. And overall, the car's smooth engine bay is exceptionally well done; featuring cool details like polished fluid reservoirs, a rebuilt brake booster, pliable Ford hoses and a tagged Autolite battery. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION Since this Ford's first owner pampered his prized pony for close to 20 years, the car has remained exceptionally solid throughout its entire life. And under its clean, Oxide Red floors, the best virtues of classic Shelby Americana have been augmented with some of today's best technology. Behind the snarling small block, a tough Tremec TKO600 5-speed pairs an aluminum flywheel with a lightened, hydraulically actuated King Cobra clutch. That clutch jerks an aluminum driveshaft, which spins a proven Currie 9-inch that's fitted with 3.89 gears, a Truetrac differential and 31-spline, big bearing axles. That drivetrain pushes an upgraded leaf suspension, which complements Global West reverse eye springs with adjustable QA-1 shocks and Competition Engineering Slide-A-Link traction bars. Opposite that rear end, a Global West front-half hangs adjustable QA-1 coil-overs between tubular control arms and a large sway bar. Turns come courtesy of Total Control power rack-and-pinion steering. Braking is equally class, with a combination of Baer and Ford calipers utilizing 304 stainless piping to squeeze two 13-inch drilled and slotted rotors and two 12-inch drilled and slotted rotors. The aforementioned headers dump spent gases in to TIG welded, Jet-Hot coated 304 stainless pipes, which employ an X-shaped crossover, polished Magnaflow mufflers and polished stainless tips. Everything rolls on 17-inch Vintage Wheel Works V50s, which twist 235/45ZR17 BF Goodrich g-Force T/As up front and 255/45ZR17 BF Goodrich g-Force T/As out back. And items like a fresh fuel tank, a 7-quart Cobra oil pan and sturdy Global West subframe connectors round out a virtually picture perfect undercarriage. INTERIOR Open the door to this awesome Mustang and you'll find a fully restored cockpit that mixes the best elements of Ford's black vinyl interior with stylish Shelby add-ons. Front-and-center, highly bolstered buckets stretch tight vinyl covers under a tough roll bar and familiar shoulder belts. In front of those seats, an ornate, dual-cowl dash hangs an original pad over a factory Philco radio and clean factory telemetry. Below that dash, a correct console anchors a trick Pro-5.0 shifter between a cobra-branded armrest and Stewart Warner accessory gauges. In front of the driver, a wood-rimmed steering wheel laps a functional Tilt-Away Steering Column. And behind the passengers, a fully restored trunk hides a small fire extinguisher and compact spare tire. HISTORICAL INFORMATION According to Kevin Marti of Marti Auto Works, this spotless coupe was bolted together in Metuchen, New Jersey on December 1st, 1967 and delivered to Galpin Motors of Sepulveda, California. BODY Complementing smooth Torch Red 2-stage with bright Shelby call-outs, this spotless Mustang has spent the majority of its life parked in dry storage. Thanks to that shelter, and a noted aversion to rain and wintry weather, the car's most recent owner maintained factory-fresh aesthetics that would be right at home in a dealer's showroom. According to CARFAX, those aesthetics are 100% straight with no history of accidents or damage of any kind. And, according to that same owner, the car benefitted from $8,000 of Ford Racing options before it even logged break-in miles. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION The reborn GT500 celebrated one of the most successful partnerships in performance car history. Take a look under this Mustang's lightweight hood and you'll find a blown 'mod motor' that was heavily influenced by Ford's first generation GT super car. Twist the key and the big V8 rumbles to life, pushing baritone notes through an X-shaped crossover and optional Ford Racing exhaust. Goose the throttle and a roots-style supercharger utilizes an upgraded 2.59 pulley to zing the engine toward redline. That added boost is optimized by cold air induction and VMP tuning. Items like a proven Optima battery and aluminum idler pulley ensure everything stays smooth and reliable. A spotless appearance mixes assembly line technicality with the added pizazz of Shelby reservoir caps, a cobra-branded fuse box and a slick Shelby battery clamp. And it all adds up to one nicely dressed mill that meets the car's flywheel with roughly 600 horsepower! This coupe's excellent, SVT-tuned chassis has been augmented with optional Ford Racing springs, which lower ride height by close to two inches. Between those springs, a slick-shifting Tremec TR6060 6-speed spins power to a tough Ford 8.8-inch axle. At the corners of the car, power-assisted Brembo calipers join power-assisted Ford calipers in squeezing big, vented rotors. Turns come courtesy of Ford's super-efficient power rack-and-pinion setup. Naturally, standard ABS and traction control systems are present and accounted for. And all this first class agility rides on "SVT" branded kicks, which twist 255/45ZR18 Goodyear Eagle F1s in front of 285/40ZR18 Goodyear Eagle F1s. INTERIOR Inside the car, bolstered seats, which feature embossed Cobra insignias, ride opposite a monochromatic, leather-wrapped steering wheel that's adorned with convenient thumb buttons. The dash is a familiar Mustang layout that frames satin-trimmed telemetry and a programmable "SVT" shift light. Below that dash, a powerful Shaker 1000 stereo utilizes a 6-disc CD changer to become a 1-stop shop for all your audio entertainment needs. Below that stereo, a clean console frames a short-throw shifter that, like the aforementioned steering wheel, is detailed in red French stitching. Beneath that console, rich carpet flows past metal-trimmed foot pedals and cobra-branded floor mats to "SVT" branded sills. And naturally, all the luxuries you'd expect in a modern muscle car are ready and waiting including: cruise control, power windows, power door locks, power mirrors, a power driver's seat and Remote Keyless Entry. In fact, an overwhelming level of excitement flooded the Ford camp a couple years back when the man himself typed those exact words into Twitter. And, if you've yet to become a true believer, just take one ride in this showroom-fresh drop-top and you'll line right up to preach the virtues of superchargers and sing the praises of sport suspensions. This stunning S281 Extreme, car number 102 for the 2007 model year, wraps a blown V8 and slick Tremec 6-speed in Saleen's typical array of track-tested technology. Are you looking for an exclusive muscle car that's impressive, easy to live with and up for anything? Then take the lead on this red hot Ford before some other power-hungry gearhead parks it in their trophy case! Logging roughly 9K miles since it rolled out of Irvine, California, virtually every piece of this awesome Mustang retains its factory-fresh glow. The car's super straight body displays a glossy layer of vivid Torch Red basecoat that, judging by its smooth appearance, has been maintained with the utmost care. That bright red pigment lays the groundwork for a blanket of traditional Saleen modifications which are tastefully designed and carefully applied. Of course, this blue oval bombshell has never seen major body work because it's a 100% accident-free showpiece that's been in the hands of dedicated enthusiasts. There's essentially nothing on the car that could be considered more than prerequisite shelf wear. And, as your number one source for Fords of all ages, we're proud to present it as the latest in our long line of exceptional modern Mustangs! Combining clean factory sheetmetal with a functional aero kit, this awesome Ford rarity is ready to parade the midway and willing to tackle the track. At the front of its body, an injection-molded valence hangs a silver "102" between a Saleen carbon splitter, a "SALEEN" branded grille and Saleen HID headlights. Behind those lights, a vented Saleen hood, which mixes added clearance with functional heat extraction, leads the eye to black mirrors and "SALEEN" branded glass that's topped by a black canvas roof. At the sides of that roof, aggressive Saleen rockers frame small stripes and subtle "S281 EXTREME" emblems. And at the back of the car, a large Saleen spoiler and custom body extensions complement a textured valence, a "SALEEN" branded bumper and a Saleen carbon diffuser that frames centered Saleen exhaust. Saleen's oft-repeated motto has always been "Power in the Hands of a Few". And with this Mustang, there's LOTS of power in the hands of VERY few. Locked, loaded and ready to roll, the 24-valve, single overhead cam monster that rumbles under the aforementioned hood is, by far, the car's biggest selling point. A smooth, rev-happy V8 that's based on Ford's award-winning 'mod motor', this mill can trace its proven reliability to everything from Mustangs and Explorers to F-150s and Mountaineers. And, thanks to the addition of Saleen's Series VI supercharger, it twists a killer 550 horsepower into 525 lb./ft. of tire melting torque! Visually, the storied engine's frame comes together just as well as the outside of the car. Saleen's install is exceptionally clean, forgoing the 'plastic dome of doom' engine cover trend in favor of a Saleen-branded centerpiece, clean fuel rails and a small Saleen plaque. The hot mill is a melting pot of machined and natural finishes that contrast well against the car's bright red paint. And best of all, this muscle-bound brute will fire up in any weather, drive thousands of miles before anyone needs to turn its bolts, and certainly lay waste to almost any old school muscle car that's brave enough to pick a fight. The greatest advancement granted by the current Mustang platform is its ability to corner like a true thoroughbred. Ford's standard Macpherson Strut and Panhard Rod set up offers some of the purest handling found in any OEM street car. And, in keeping with their own race ancestry, Saleen's Racecraft engineers carefully chose springs, shocks, and struts that augment that already impressive chassis without sacrificing ride quality. Behind the car's supercharged engine, a rugged Tremec T56 6-speed drives big 4.10 gears that mix spectacular wheel spin with great acceleration. Charred dinosaurs are expelled through a modified exhaust system, which incorporates Saleen's vacuum-actuated mufflers into big, 2.5-inch pipes. Braking is handled by a combination of OEM Ford calipers, 6-piston Saleen calipers and vented and slotted rotors. Ample grip is supplied by familiar Saleen blades, which spin meaty 275/35ZR20 Pirelli P Zero Rossos in front of meatier 275/40ZR20 Pirelli P Zero Rossos. And overall, this drop-top feels like it was made to literally chase the sun! Slide inside this low-slung Ford and you'll immediately notice that its stitched and louvered seats are every bit as comfortable as they are attractive. In front of those "SALEEN" branded buckets, a familiar Mustang dash hangs Saleen black-face telemetry behind satin silver trim, Saleen ancillary gauges and a small Saleen plaque. Below that dash, Shaker 500 audio combines with factory climate control and a Rockford Fosgate Punch System to become a one-stop shop for all your convenience needs. Beneath those systems, a wide console anchors a close-ratio Saleen shifter in front of ample storage space. Beneath that console, like-new carpet floats between color-keyed Saleen foot pedals and attractive Saleen sills. Above those sills, sculpted door panels hang full-length armrests between big kick speakers and small metal handles. And naturally, all the luxuries you'd expect in a high dollar muscle car are present and accounted for including: cruise control, power windows, power door locks, power mirrors, a power driver's seat, and remote keyless entry that's complete with built in theft deterrent software. Naturally, the sale of this super clean Extreme includes a stack of provenance. In the world of electronic fuel injection and computer diagnostics, even late model dealerships look a little uncomfortable working on pre-OBD1 cars. There are many independent mechanics and shops that may be able to help, but putting your prized classic in the hands of a stranger is a leap of faith at best. This is exactly why we created the RKM Performance Center. Being proud members of SEMA, ARMO, HRIA and the North Carolina Motorsports Association, the RKM Performance Center is a nationally recognized shop; best known for high level OEM restorations and custom builds. Comprised of ASE certified mechanics, including several Master Technicians, you can feel confident that your car is in capable hands. As fellow enthusiasts, they are passionate about cars and will treat yours with the respect it deserves.
