There are traditional rods, there are rods that dare to be different, and then there are the rods that combine familiar things in brand new ways to create something truly unique like this 1932 Ford roadster. Did I mention six-deuce Hemi power? If I showed you this color on a paint chart and told you that was the color I\'d chosen for my roadster, you\'d tell me that I\'m crazy. But look at how awesome this car looks now that it\'s done. Brilliant, right? It almost seemed like a law that \'32 Fords had to be black or red, but if you show up in this one, you will be The Man from the moment you arrive. Yes, it\'s fiberglass, but it has been expertly prepped and finished, with shaved door handles and hinges and a grille shell painted to match. You can forget about a hood, but with that outrageous sextuplet of carbs, why would you ever want to hide it? Out back, the traditional looks continue with \'39 Ford teardrop taillights and an exposed gas tank, while up front a V\'d spreader bar takes on a very trick look by adopting an airfoil profile. Obviously someone was sweating the details when this one went together. The completely custom interior uses a fabricated bench seat to maximize legroom in the compact roadster body. Wrapped in blue leather, the pleated seats have a traditional look that dates back to the days when this car was new, but the beautifully stitched door panels are quite modern. Dark blue carpets give the open car a finished, luxurious feel and help control heat, too. The dash is a gorgeous engine-turned panel filled with Stewart Warner instruments, and they didn\'t waste time with frivolous stuff like a radio or heater. More leather has been wrapped around the banjo-style wheel, which lives atop a polished billet tilt column, so it\'s easy to get comfortable behind the wheel. The trunk is upholstered to match, and part of this car\'s modern twist is the custom lift-off top, which is pure roadster, but looks ever so slightly different in profile thanks to the rounded side frame. Aside from a flathead, there\'s nothing more traditional in your hi-boy than a Chrysler 331 cubic inch Hemi. Topped by an outrageous induction system that incorporates SIX carburetors on a Weiand intake, it was the hottest engine on the street then and makes a big statement today. Everything was sanded, smoothed, and finished to accept a matching coat of light blue paint, and anything that wasn\'t painted was polished or chromed. Think of how long it took to disassemble and paint all those carburetor bodies, and note how glossy and smooth the engine castings are; there is A TON of work in this car. It also runs beautifully despite the exotic induction, and has a wonderful Hemi soundtrack thanks to the ceramic-coated exhaust system. The frame is boxed for strength, the front suspension consists of a traditional I-beam axle, and out back there\'s a Ford 9-inch hanging on ladder bars and coil-overs. Staggered Torque Thrusts achieve the traditional look using 195/60/15 front and 275/60/17 rear BFG radials. Gorgeous, fast, and unique, THIS is what hot-rodding is all about. Next time you see a generic 350 Chevy with a 4-barrel, you\'ll remember this car, and if it isn\'t yours by then, you\'ll probably regret it. Call today! The 1939 Ford is noteworthy for several reasons: the last year for a rumble seat, first year for hydraulic brakes, and for being the foundation for this incredible rod. To be honest, there aren\'t many better choices for a cruiser than a convertible coupe, and this one offers all the creature comforts with a classic look that will always be in demand. The body is Gibbons fiberglass with Westcott fenders, but you\'d never be able to tell without knocking your knuckles on the surface. And while the \'39 Ford could be had with a rumble seat, this one has been converted to a spacious and useful trunk, making it strictly a two-seater, but who wants to travel cross-country in a rumble seat anyway? An NOS Ford hood was sourced and subtly modified to fit the body, being shaved and nosed to elicit a truly custom look. Timeless teardrop headlights, that deeply V\'d grille, and a single line of stainless trim gives it a traditional look that connects it to the past, but the shaved door handles, LED taillights, and brilliant Laser Blue paint are definitely 21st century. The license plate has been neatly frenched into the rear deck for a unique look, and the simple bumpers do their job and look great at the same time. Steve Holcomb was tapped to create the stunning tan leather interior, and you should probably take your time looking around inside. Twin buckets out of a late-model flank a custom center console that houses the AM/FM/CD stereo head unit, Vintage Air A/C controls, power window controls, and a pair of trick billet air vents. The beautifully finished dash has a smooth look complimented by a billet panel full of Auto Meter gauges that look more like the original Ford pieces than almost any others we\'ve seen. A custom tilt column has been topped by a wood-rimmed banjo wheel. That stereo features seven speakers with a subwoofer, so the sound is incredible, even with the top down. And speaking of the top, it\'s Haartz canvas stretched over a 2.5-inch chopped frame, and when it\'s down you can hide it under a matching boot. The rumble seat trunk is spacious enough for a long road trip and neatly finished with matching tan carpets. The drivetrain is just the way you\'d do it yourself. Based on a Westcott chassis, it offers a 350 cubic inch Chevy V8 with Edelbrock aluminum heads, polished intake, and a Holley 4-barrel carburetor. The Chevy Orange block sizzles in the bright engine bay, accented by a ton of chrome and billet, and there\'s a massive aluminum radiator up front keeping everything cool. The Mustang II front suspension includes power rack-and-pinion steering as well as disc brakes. A 700R4 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission is great for highway cruising and feeds a Ford 9-inch full of 3.73 gears so this is one old Ford that really scoots. The custom 3-inch exhaust system sounds amazing yet doesn\'t compromise ground clearance, and the aluminized system really pops against the black chassis. Bright chrome wheels are a neat take on the traditional Torque Thrust and wear reasonably-sized 205/50/16 Pirelli radials. A great take on an old favorite, this \'39 Ford was built to drive but is right at home on the show field. Call today! This vehicle is located in our Charlotte showroom. Movie star looks on a Wal-Mart budget is the magic of the R107 Mercedes-Benz SL. Cars like this 1978 450SL convertible pack all kinds of charisma, great performance, and bulletproof hardware, they look like they should cost a million bucks, yet are remarkably affordable. If you want to get noticed in a car, this is probably the most affordable way to do it! Hard to beat a 2-seat convertible in bright red, and even conservative Mercedes-Benz put the bright paint on their color chart in 1978 knowing that some folks just wouldn\'t have it any other way. Given the impressive quality of these cars, it shouldn\'t be a surprise that it\'s still wearing its original paint which is proof that it\'s led a good life. Sure, it might show a few signs of its three-and-a-half decades of life, but there\'s absolutely no need for a repaint if you just want to drive and have some fun. Most importantly, this is a southern car so it hasn\'t been slogging through winter weather for years and as a result the doors slam with that precision that you almost can\'t find today. Americans have grown accustomed to the heavy rubber and chrome bumpers so they give the car a substantial look and remain in very good shape, as does the rest of the bright trim. Heck, this one\'s so original, it still carries its selling dealer\'s badge on the deck lid! The optional red leather interior is a fantastic upgrade over the usual MB-Tex vinyl that was standard equipment in these cars. Again, it\'s unlike Mercedes to be so flashy, but it totally works in this 2-seater. The seat covers are remarkably well-preserved, suggesting that even though it\'s a convertible, it was always properly protected when not in use. Things like the door panels and dash pad are in very good condition and the deep, plush carpets haven\'t faded in the sun, another very good sign. These cars came loaded with every feature they could think of in 1978, including power windows and locks, A/C with a recent R134a refrigerant upgrade, and even a rear defroster in the removable hardtop. The wood paneling is real wood, and aside from a newer AM/FM/CD stereo head unit in the dash, it\'s completely stock and factory-correct. The trunk is reasonably spacious and beautifully finished with matching carpets and there\'s a folding conver5tible top that makes this a year-round cruiser. The 4.5-liter V8 engine really needs no introduction. Powering Mercedes-Benz automobiles for a decade, it is smooth and torquey, and if properly maintained, will run practically forever. This one starts easily and idles with a precise mechanical feeling that\'s quite different than the isolation chambers we\'re used to today, but no less pleasant. Fuel injection gives it sharp throttle response and the flexible power curve makes it fast without feeling like it\'s working too hard. A 3-speed automatic transmission seems a little syrupy at first, but you\'ll find that the faster you go, the better it works. In fact, that goes for the suspension and brakes, too, which were bred for the autobahn and make this car supremely competent on American roads. The exhaust has a pleasant bubbly V8 sound and those \"pie crust\" Mercedes-Benz alloys are almost as distinctive as the car itself and are wrapped in recent General radials. These cars remain perennial best-sellers here at Streetside Classics because they represent performance, style, and value, and this one is no exception. Call today! If there is one man that knows how to build a fast Ford, it\'s Jack Roush. Ford already offered the public a Mustang GT that produced over 400 horsepower, but that is hardly enough for the team at Roush Performance. With 540 horsepower and less than 7K miles on the clock, this 2012 Ford Mustang Roush Stage 3 is a pristine example of some of Jack Roush\'s best work. Starting life as a convertible 2012 Mustang GT, this Roush Stage 3(also dubbed RS3) underwent a host of cosmetic upgrades to live up to the standards of wearing the \'ROUSH\' windshield banner. Buyers were given a wide range of color options for the body and graphics, creating 288 unique color combinations. This one wears a vivid coat of Race Red with black stripes and white stripe accents. Black and red have always gone well together and this car is certainly no exception. With the fully loaded RS3, the lucky owner gets a ROUSH front fascia with driving lights and chin spoiler, a billet grill, side rocker splitters, rear valence with newly designed exhaust tips, and a rear deck-lid spoiler. Reminding onlookers of what they\'re in the presence of are familiar Roush badges with subtle \'540 HP\' callouts. And exclusive 20\'\' Roush wheels wrap up the showroom fresh look. Roush styling enhancements don\'t stop on the outside, the first notable cues inside are the wonderfully designed black buckets that are wrapped in leather with red stitching, and feature alcantara inserts with more dual stitching and a \'3\' branded logo reminding you what stage of Roush performance you\'re about to take the wheel of. Where ever you look, there is more \'ROUSH\' branding such as the illuminiscent gauges that features Ford MyColor, the foot pedals, the round shift knob, and the boost gauge strategically mounted in the left air vent. The steering wheel is wrapped in more alcantara, giving a pleasant hint that you\'re in a special Mustang. But if you aren\'t so sure, there is also a Roush plaque mounted in front of the shifter, ROUSH illuminated door sills, and even a signature by Jack Roush himself on the glove box. Being 2012 Mustang, you can count on all of the luxuries you would expect like keyless entry, an AM/FM/CD player with satellite capability, Ford\'s SYNC system, air conditioning, cruise control, power seats, a power convertible top, and many more modern amenities. A Stage 2 package from Roush would stop with cosmetic upgrades and few bells and whistles in the handling department, but the Stage 3 goes a good bit further. The main feature of this RS3 Mustang is the 5.0L V8 that has been fitted with an R2300 Roots-type supercharger that forces intercooled air into the 302 cubic inch motor to create 540 horsepower! Mash the gas pedal to the floor and the ROUSH exhaust system roars to life as you row through the gears of the 6-speed manual transmission. Knowing that straight line acceleration is only part of the equation, Roush Performance installed fine tuned front struts and rear shocks, upgraded springs, front and rear stabilizer bars, and an anti-wheel hop kit. This is a car that is capable to be driven daily or lay down some insane numbers at the open track day. Keeping things under control under hard acceleration and heavy braking are sticky 275/35/20 Coooper Zeon RS3 tires at all four corners(believed to be original to the car) with power four-wheel disc brakes clamped by ROUSH Red brake calipers. First thing\'s first, this is a car that was built to terrorize the street and dominate at the track. If you\'re a performance enthusiast, it\'s a car you\'ll enjoy driving for years to come. If you\'re a collector that is looking to preserve some limited production late model muscle, well...here\'s your car. Call today! This vehicle is located in our Charlotte showroom. The backbone of the old car hobby is nostalgia, and the driving force behind this gorgeous 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air convertible is a man re-creating his first new car. It\'s something we\'ve all longed to do, and the result is a very attractive and very road-worthy ragtop that hits all the right buttons. The car\'s original colors were changed to Gypsy Red and India Ivory because that\'s how the restorer\'s first car was clothed. It was purchased specifically for this build and fully restored in 2001 using parts from a donor car to make sure that as many parts as possible were OEM. Finish quality is extremely good, probably better than new, and thanks to hours and hours spent blocking, sanding, and aligning the sheetmetal, it looks ready to show. This was definitely not some home restoration project, but rather an expensive undertaking using professional shops, and it shows in the brilliant final finish. The surface is glossy and smooth, and despite being almost 15 years old, the car looks amazingly fresh. Most of the chrome and stainless trim was replaced when the car was reassembled, but things like the door handles and fender spears were borrowed from that donor car to keep it looking authentic. This is a seriously nice car. The two tone red and white interior was also restored to match that mythical car from decade ago and like the exterior, the workmanship is impressive. Correct seat covers, reproduction door panels, new carpets, and just about everything else remains in first-class condition. The beautifully restored steering wheel highlights a very high-quality interior, and details like the bright metal instrument panel and restored gauge cluster make it a delight to sit in the driver\'s seat. A/C was added during the restoration and uses subtle outlets under the dash, but interestingly enough, there is no radio and it uses a factory block-off plate to retain a clean look. There\'s a white power convertible top overhead and it stows beneath a matching white boot to give the car a clean look, top up or top down. The trunk was also nicely detailed with a correct rubber mat and a matching fifth wheel with correct jack assembly. The engine is a correct early 265 cubic inch V8 that was taken from the parts car that came with the convertible. Interestingly enough, that donor vehicle was an air-conditioned station wagon, so while the compressor is modern, experts will note that this car has the correct oil filter in the proper location for an air conditioned car. A modern alternator is probably a smart upgrade, too, and it was all detailed to a very high standard before being reassembled. Chevy Orange paint, a correct oil bath air cleaner, and even stock exhaust manifolds make it look authentic. The transmission is a 2-speed PowerGlide automatic from that same donor car, and it, too, was completely rebuilt before going into the ragtop\'s powdercoated chassis. It does show a few signs of use underneath, but you can\'t blame a guy for driving his dream, and all of the mechanical work was done by an ASE certified mechanic, who also happened to be his son. Proper wheels and hubcaps are protected by a set of bright 205/75/15 whitewall radials, which ride great and look right. This is a very high-quality 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air convertible that\'s in exactly the right condition to drive and enjoy, and perhaps even relive your youth a little bit. Call today! Quick, name a car with a turbo air-cooled flat-six, an all-independent suspension, a handsome, functional interior, and a devout following of enthusiasts around the world. Oh, and by the way, it\'s not a Porsche. Whatever your guess may have been, you should really dig this 1965 Corvair Monza Spyder. Despite Ralph Nader\'s whining, these cars have proven themselves to be not only reliable but a lot of fun to drive with a lot of personality. This one has been restored to a level that inexpensive cars rarely see-obviously someone did it for love, not money. The original code 936 Ermine paint was replaced by Tuxedo Black, which was nice change because convertible looks good in black. Even the chrome and stainless trim was beautifully restored to a brilliant shine, with the end result being a Corvair wearing a restoration worthy of a much more expensive car. The Corvair\'s calling card was a lot of space in a compact body, and this convertible is not only handsome, it\'s practical as well. White bucket seats give it a sporty feeling that backs up its deft moves on the street, and you\'ll note there\'s no transmission tunnel taking up space between the seats. A red dash and matching carpets provide a wonderful contrast and the two-tone steering wheel is simply gorgeous. And speaking of the seats, those are new seat covers that are accurate reproductions of the originals, and if you\'ve got a hankering for some European flavor, check out the handsome gauge, including a rare factory tachometer, along with a Corvair-only cylinder head temperature gauge. The original AM radio remains fully functional and you know we\'re digging the 4-speed gearbox with cue ball knob. Have a look up front and you\'ll find the spacious trunk, correctly finished with spatter paint and a small original-style mat and there\'s a nice-fitting white convertible top overhead. That engine is a fully rebuilt and turbocharged 164 cubic inch flat-six that fires quickly that that characteristic Corvair sound. With 150 horsepower and lightweight bodywork, performance is impressive all around, and with that 4-speed manual transmission it\'s an absolutely blast to drive on a twisting country road. Forget Ralph Nader, GM engineers worked out the suspension problems, and even the guys at Car and Driver magazine found themselves grinning like idiots during their test drives. The engine bay has been accurately detailed with proper finishes and decals throughout, giving it a showroom-fresh look that\'s completely accurate right down to a correct generator. Underneath, the chassis is pretty original but in good order, with plenty of evidence that it has lived someplace warm all its life. The wheels carry optional wire wheelcovers as well as 175/80/13 whitewall radials that look like new. This is a fantastic little car that\'s an absolute hoot to drive. Good Corvairs are becoming increasingly difficult to find today, so don\'t miss this chance to own this awesome little drop-top. Call today! This vehicle is located in our Dallas/Fort Worth showroom. Mustang fans, this is how you do it right. Take the best-looking Mustang of them all, paint it Calypso Coral, give it a burly 351-inch small block and an overdrive transmission, then go have some fun. Showing only 564 shake-down miles since it was completed, this is an extremely high-quality resto-mod that\'s ready to cruise or show at any level. It\'s hard to tell from photos, but this is one of those rare cars that\'s even nicer in person than it looks. There\'s got to be $15-20,000 wrapped up in the paint job alone and it shows. The Calypso Coral paint is just the right shade and the bodywork is excellent in every way. The Mach 1 was arguably the best-looking Mustang of all time, and with upgrades like the Shaker hood, chin spoiler, and rear wing, it certainly looks the part of a high-performance pony. Special Mach 1 pieces like the rocker panel moldings are beautifully finished and the blacked out stripe treatment with \'351\' callouts is expertly applied. Chrome bumpers sparkle against the bright orange paint and all the stainless trim has been polished up to look great. This is a really impressive car! The interior has been fully restored to stock specs as well, complete with black Comfort-Weave buckets and a fold-down rear seat for practicality. Looking inside, you\'d be hard-pressed to see any of the modifications, and it looks quite stock right down to the woodgrained steering wheel. This is a factory A/C car, so the system was retained and rebuilt and even the original shifter still looks original (more on that in a moment). Crisply restored gauges show vivid markings and bright, clear lenses, and there\'s an accessory column-mounted tachometer that\'s a period-perfect upgrade. The workmanship is show-quality throughout and there are almost no signs of use or wear anywhere inside this Mustang and even the clock is fully functional. An AM/FM stereo radio fits neatly in the original radio\'s slot and doesn\'t even look that out of place until you really get close and examine it, which is the entire point of this car. The trunk is also correctly finished with reproduction mats and a very clean look. The engine is a balanced and blueprinted 351 cubic inch Cleveland V8, which means it loves to rev and pulls like a freight train. It\'s pretty correct under the hood, with a proper Shaker hood scoop, Ford Blue paint on the major components, and a set of attractive finned valve covers that are period-perfect. Upgrades include an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor, MSD ignition system, and a slightly larger cam to give it a bit of a lope at idle. The engine bay is nicely detailed with lots of correct features, right down to a reproduction battery. Long-tube headers and a stainless exhaust system with X-pipe give it a spectacular sound and with an AOD 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission, this car is an effortless cruiser, particularly with 3.30 gears in the 9-inch rear end. The suspension was lowered to give it just the right stance and those Magnum 500 wheels are arguably the best-looking design of the period. Beautifully built and ferociously fast, this is a car that nails the resto-mod movement: stock looks, improved performance, and lots of comfort. Call today! If you\'re looking for a hot rod from the mid-30s and want the perfect balance between performance and extras, you must take a look at cars like this 1936 Ford Club Cabriolet. With a storied small block under the hood, and conveniences like air conditioning, it\'s hard to go wrong with this car if you\'re in the market for a comfortable cruiser. Step up closely and you\'ll discover a graphite gray paint job that is silky smooth and looks fantastic under our lights with reflective metallic flake. That paint has aged well and will remain timeless on the curvy body of this Ford. Custom bumpers are mounted at both ends and are accented with dual red stripes that provide a nice contrast. Out back there are blue dot tail lights that sit above chrome dual exhaust tips. Up front is the large, vertical grill that is topped by the elegant \'V8\' branded greyhound hood ornament. When the manual convertible top is buttoned up, it fits very snug and is wrinkle free. That pre-war styling is complemented with some hot rod flare with 15\'\' Crager SS wheels at all four corners. Open the doors to a striking, custom red and black interior. The seats are covered in black leather with red ostrich skin inserts and red stitching. The door panels are wrapped in the same black leather with red and gray ostrich inserts, and feature the door handles and power windows operated by manual looking window cranks. Facing the driver is a body matched dash that remains simple, but houses a fuel gauge, speedometer, water temperature gauge, switches for the A/C and heat, and an Alpine AM/FM/cassette player hidden in the glove box. Topping the tilt column is a banjo steering wheel with a \'V8\' branded horn button and ostrich skin trimming the rim. Overall it\'s comfortable cabin where you don\'t have to compromise. You can even carry three other passengers to your next cruise-in. Powering this Cabriolet is a 350 cubic inch V8. That small block pulls air and fuel through and Edelbrock carburetor and aluminum intake manifold, and sends power to a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission. Turning power to a Ford 9\'\' rear end, you can count on a solid and reliable drive train underneath. Exhaust gasses are spent through a dual exhaust system for a throaty exhaust note. Sunny day cruises are assisted with power steering and power brakes with discs up front, while 195/65/15 front and 235/75/15 rear tires keep things grounded. This 1936 Ford Club Cabriolet offers a pre-war era enthusiast a great opportunity to purchase a car with the styling they love, performance they enjoy, and convenience they need. Some of the coolest retro-mods come from a second generation Camaro build, like this 1973 Chevrolet Camaro. This F2 comes equipped with some great hardware and subtle custom touches to make it a knock out ride that will drop jaws, and turn heads whether you take it to your local test-n-tune, or cruise-in. It\'s easy to find a \"look at me\" color to spray on a car like this that demands such attention, but the purple hue that was expertly applied to this sheet metal is quite understated. It\'s just enough to stand out with a finish that rivals some of today\'s new cars. The paint looks great and is easy to imagine a coat like this adorning the panels of an exotic sports car. Up front, there is a cowl hood that provokes a sinister presence. The Z/28 fascia with chrome split bumper enhances that look, while the side marker lights were removed, front valence seams have been filled and smoothed, and the rear valence has been radiused for the dual exhaust tips. That menacing stance sits on staggered 17\'\' front and 18\'\' rear American Racing Torque Thrust wheels. Inside are more custom touches with the main feature coming from the custom seats wrapped in soft two-tone black and white leather. There is a full length center console that is accented with faux carbon fiber and includes a convenient storage compartment under the arm rest. In front of that console is a Magellan GPS screen that sits underneath the Sony AM/FM/CD player with satellite radio capability. The driver faces an array of Auto Meter Pro-Comp Ultra Lite gauges that monitor fuel level, engine revs, speed, voltage, oil pressure, water temperature and all are surrounded by more faux carbon fiber. Under those gauges, the black dash houses switches for the Vintage Air A/C system and is very clean, so are the door panels that feature custom billet inserts in the handle tray. It all wraps up with a sporty 3 spoke Grant GT steering wheel. Things get really wild when you lift the hood on this great looking F2. Power comes from a supercharged 406 cubic inch engine that is good for 500 horsepower! Go fast goodies include the obvious B%26amp;M supercharger unite, MSD ignition, Demon carburetor and after market headers. The engine bay looks very clean with a smoothed firewall, strategically routed hoses, tucked wires, and a nicely installed air conditioning unit. The small block feeds power to a Tremec 5-speed manual transmission which turns a 10 bolt posi-traction rear end with 3.73 gears. Underneath, things are practical and functional with tubular control arms and 4 wheel disc brakes keeping the 245/45/17 front and 295/40/18 rear Falken Azenis tires in check. This car is not for the faint of heart. With around 500 force fed ponies on tap, this 1973 Camaro will handle most modern day sports cars in a drag strip battle. It looks mean and sounds even meaner! This is your chance to own a well built F2 retro-mod that aims to please. Call today! This vehicle is located in our Charlotte showroom. This cool Vanilla 1940 Ford convertible coupe is a grown-up hot rod. No flames, no goofy body mods, no obnoxious exhaust, just a show-quality custom build that cost thousands more than the asking price and delivering a professional level of performance and appearance. This is an all-time favorite hot rod rendered in such a way to make it daily-driver friendly. Everybody loves the 1940 Ford, so much so that they\'re still cranking out fiberglass replicas today. Fortunately, this one has a steel body, so it feels substantial, although it does use modern fiberglass rear fenders for an ultra-smooth and slightly wider look. The pointed hood and grille are icons in the hobby and despite the amazing build and flawless performance of this car, they decided to keep it low-key. The paint is called Cool Vanilla, and it\'s a lovely off-white that accentuates the Ford\'s generous curves without hiding anything. That\'s good, because fit and finish are fantastic, with excellent gaps and a spectacular shine that will win trophies anywhere but Pebble Beach. They didn\'t shave or chop anything, and the original trim was restored and reinstalled, so it looks like a 1940 Ford in every way. Stock bumpers, chevron-style taillights, and custom clear headlights all give this Ford a very high-quality look and feel. The stunning green leather interior is a work of art. Subtle and sophisticated, it was custom crafted for a larger guy, so just about anyone can get comfortable behind the wheel. The leather hides are almost completely unmarked, and the supportive seats make this car all-day comfortable. Sculpted door panels integrate an original-style door handle, chrome garnish moldings, and power window controls and there are matching dark green carpets on the floor. The beautiful and simple dashboard arrays Auto Meter gauges across the center with a custom-made strip of chrome running through them, giving it a very 1940s look. Secondary controls for the Vintage Air A/C, ignition, and headlights are just below, along with vents for the A/C system. A chrome tilt column and leather-wrapped steering wheel add a bit of glitter to match the window frames, and there\'s a beautifully stitched custom green canvas convertible top that\'s fully functional. In addition to the nicely finished trunk, there\'s also a custom storage compartment behind the seats that gives the interior a very upscale look. It\'s very, very impressive. Under all that chrome, there\'s a 350 cubic inch Chevy V8, chosen specifically because of its low demands for the new owner. Plenty powerful, it\'s a ZZ430 crate motor from GM Performance Parts, and moves the Ford with effortless ease. Just about everything you can see was polished or plated, and someone went to great lengths to hide all the wiring and plumbing. A serpentine belt drive system ensures reliability, and the smoothed firewall wraps around the engine to offer a very complete look. Backed by a TCI-built TH350 3-speed automatic transmission and a 9-inch Ford rear with 3.25 gears on a limited slip, it\'s an effortless high-speed tourer that rides and handles like a modern car. The front suspension is tubular A-arms with coil-over shocks and rack-and-pinion steering, while the rear hangs on leaf springs, and there\'s a disc brake at each corner. The frame is heavily reinforced while the custom stainless exhaust system tucks up under the running boards for excellent ground clearance. Staggered Torque Thrust wheels with spinners carry 195/75/14 front and 245/70/16 rear blackwall radials that really fill the fenders nicely. This isn\'t your average hot rod, but if you\'re an adult who is tired of the same-old, same-old at rod shows, this stunning Ford is the antidote. Call today!
