Still in the correct shade of black, its laser straight body, 302 V8, and upgraded factory air make this an easy decision in the vintage truck world. Body panels fresh out of the press don't look this good, which tells us there has been some serious time and/or cash in making sure it stays superior after 45 years in the world. But you do expect that out of a Ford F-100 in the upper level Sport Custom package. These carried more trim than some of the Ford cars of the days, and they looked particularly premium directly from the factory. Today all those pieces are still in place and intact, including the wide grille, chrome bumpers, and dual trim strips that run the entire length of the pickup. But, there's also no mistaking those upgraded bold Cragar wheels. You see all of this so well because the truck wears its factory-correct shade of Raven Black, with the same kind of luster that makes this truck as polished as the day it was delivered new to Ford's Atlanta district. The factory stock look continues inside, but with a few enhancements that you will feel more than you see. For example, the gray cloth bench has the right kind of factory weave, but you'll enjoy this so much more than a vinyl seat on the first warm day you hop into this F-100. And speaking of warm days, this one also has a new air conditioning compressor and has been upgraded to modern R-134a, so you can feel as cool and comfortable as you want in this vintage pickup. The original dash is nicely preserved, with everything in place, plus an upgrade to a newer AM/FM cassette stereo. The driver gets the cool-looking original wide horizontal readouts, and everything works as they should. Because this is the premium end of the F-Series, Ford even added a few burled walnut appliques for an interesting touch of sophistication. Just as specified on the VIN, there is the optional 302 cubic inch V8 under the hood. It gave these Fords very respectable power, and this one gets the job done even better with an upgrade to a four-barrel carburetor. It still looks quite original right down to the correct blue air cleaner and valve covers. More importantly, the motor runs extremely well, delivering a good wallop of low-end torque with a crisp V8 burble from the twin tailpipes out back. There has been a lot of careful maintenance on this motor that ranges from usual pieces like recent plugs and wires, to a larger items like a new dual master cylinder for the power brakes. As you pour over the pictures you can see plenty of proof that this is an exceptionally clean southern truck, and it has nice driving features like the C4 three-speed automatic, power steering, and front disc brakes that make it very driveable. So you know this is an all-around solid choice for a good looking truck you can enjoy with confidence. This is the vintage truck with everything you want inside and out, which is why the affordable price is so surprising. The only problem is you're not the only one attracted to this pickup, so you might want to hurry up and call today as these dont last...especially in black!! 1971 Ford F-100 for Sale 1971 Ford F-100 for Sale Stock # 3286-CHA Charlotte Showroom 5400 West WT Harris Blvd Charlotte, NC 28269 Local/International: (704) 598-2130 Toll-Free: (866) 542-8392 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM EST Sat: 9AM - 5PM EST Email: [email protected] Atlanta Showroom 213 Thornton Rd Lithia Springs, GA 30122 Local/International: (678) 279-1609 Toll-Free: (877) 367-1835 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM EST Sat: 9AM - 5PM EST Email: [email protected] Dallas/Fort Worth Showroom 5400 Sandshell Dr Fort Worth, TX 76137 Local/International: (817) 764-8000 Toll-Free: (855) 877-2707 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM CST Sat: 9AM - 5PM CST Email: [email protected] Tampa Showroom 4610 Pet Lane Lutz, FL 33559 Local/International: (813) 501-1630 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM EST Sat: 9AM - 5PM EST Email: [email protected] TERMS OF SALE Vehicle may be sold by Streetside Classic Cars prior to the end of the auction. This 1963 Ford F-100 is a prime example, with its amazing paint, hot rod details, and a performance enhanced 351 V8. You can get all this, and much more, for under $19K. So don't take too long reading the details, or you might be too late. That amazing metallic paint is only a few months old. The shade strikes such a unique balance between light blue and silver, that if we were naming it, this would be called "twilight chrome." In fact, it has the kind of deep shine that really highlights all the dramatic lines and intricate sheetmetal that Ford dared to put on these now-classic pickups. Still, this one goes much further into the details with its custom grille, flush roll pan with new taillights, and shaved door handles. Even if the paint is the shiniest element on this truck, it doesn't stop this one from having some great 60s-era custom brightwork touches such as the Moon-style hubcaps, and the diamond plating in the bed. But the most impressive feature might have just come from the factory. The Flareside bed looks amazing, and it also enhances this pickup's rarity because Ford sold half as many of this style as the fleet Stylesides. The interior continues the custom feel, with diamond plating on the side panels and dash, and the rest is filled in by that fantastic blue metallic exterior paint. Of course, you'll really start to notice the custom touches the moment you slip into the power bucket seat (after all, something this comfortable was decades away from '63.) Just beyond the Grant GT steering wheel is a full set of Dolphin gages. If that wasn't enough to tell you there was a lot going on in the engine bay, the B&M ratchet-style shifter floor shifter certainly will. The 351 cubic-inch V8 looks great with the Ford Racing air cleaner and valve covers, and there's plenty of substance to go with this style. The motor was rebuilt less than 6,000 miles ago, with upgrades that include a .040 bore kit, high-performance camshaft, Edelbrock high rise intake, and Holley 750 CFM four-barrel carburetor. All of this exhales though Hooker performance headers on its way through the glasspack dual exhaust, with performance H-pipe construction. So this motor has a serious bark, and a powerful bite to back it up too. But that's far from the only enhancements. This is running a heavy-duty Ford FMX three-speed automatic transmission, with a 2,800 stall converter. Underneath this cool custom rides on a Buick Centurion front end that includes disc brakes, and in the rear is an air ride suspension. So this power steering pickup has a better feeling on the road than just about any other 1960s truck you can find. This is a restoration-fresh custom pickup that has all the cool elements that you'll love showing off at the car shows. So with a price this low, you better hurry because we're not keeping this one a secret. But because it also has a big V8 under the hood, this F-Series can still do a hard day's work when called to duty, oh...and it cruises very nicely like that too! You can instantly see that this Ford is a cut above. After all, these trucks were often used and abused, and this looks like its led the easy life of a modern pickup. The factory-correct black looks amazing on these flairside bodies. Like any good workman truck, it's not trying to be too showy with too much brightwork, which makes each piece really noticeable. Of course there's no missing the two-piece Ford chrome hubcaps. And, the red steel wheels are not only a nice complement to F-O-R-D in the hubcaps and on the tailgate, but it also helps make you aware of the red pinstriping that outlines the power bulge in the hood. Still, beyond all these appearance features, this pickup is always ready to work. In fact, the truck bed has its wood painted an easy to maintain black, so you can take on weekend projects without any worry. You'll probably never tint the windows on this one because you'll want everyone to see how the red and black theme on the exterior is perfectly continued on the interior. Plus, it has all the details, right from the cool zipper pouch in the driver's door, to the classic steering wheel. While trucks are supposed to be basic, this one does offer the right upgrades. It starts with the highly stylized red and black vinyl bench. Keen eyes will see a welcomed SunPro tachometer next to the original speedometer. There's also a full set of auxiliary gauges mounted just below the modern AM/FM/CD stereo. Under the hood is an exceptionally honest looking 292 cubic-inch V8. It looks nice and fresh with the correct red paint, and even the original-style air cleaner, with period-correct stickers. Not only is it quite a torquey powerplant, but it's also surprisingly smooth for a truck engine. With well-matched gears in the three-speed manual transmission, it keeps up with traffic without any issues. Designed for work, the rear end isn't geared for high-speed cruising, but it will roll at 65 MPH without hesitation, and it'll do it with a bed full of 2x4s without complaint. In fact, you might have noticed the tow hitch in between the dual exhaust tips. That means you can have the coolest ride to tow the toys. Even if all you want this pickup for is the morning commute, it's happy to oblige with comfort features such as power steering and front disc brakes. This is the F-100 that you can carefully haul a load on Saturday, and take to the car show on Sunday. This has been beautifully restored to remind you of a hard day's work, and best of all, you can pick it up at a workman's price. And as you take a closer look at this one, you'll realize it's really the cream of the crop. There's no denying that the mid-50s Ford pickups were some of the best-looking tools Ford Motor Division ever built. The upright nature of the wraparound windshield cab has a cool aggressive contrast with this custom's forward-leaning stance. The rest of the curvy bodywork has a classic old pickup look that also manages to be sporty at the same time. This one had a serious investment from top to bottom that resulted in a near laser-straight truck. It was then covered in a jade green that makes this jewel standout from the rest of the classic pickups. Fit and finish are very nice, and not a single Ford curve or corner was modified to get this look. Even the original badges on the side of the hood and doors remain in place. They act like pointers to the dazzling chrome front grille, and bumper. Out back there's even more brightwork on the bumper and the exhaust tips that are a cool touch peeking out from underneath the stylized fenders. With all this shiny glamour, the real wood truck bed is a very nice contrast. Inside there's the perfect mix of old and new worlds. The comfortable, powered leather bucket seats are from a late-model vehicle. Anyone who thinks this is sacrilegious in a classic blue oval pickup will change his mind after comparing how comfortable these are to the standard bench. The driver gets a cool new sports steering wheel on a full chrome column. Beyond that are a full set of AutoMeter gauges set in a bright panel to keep all the smart bits looking sexy. But even with these upgrades, the whole dashboard retains its original-style appearance, even with the bright green paint and modern AM/FM/CD stereo installed. It's always nice to see a Ford engine in a Ford vehicle, and the 302 cubic inch V8 crate motor is the perfect match to give this pickup the performance that its style suggests. Plus, you can tell that this was a huge investment with GT40 aluminum heads, MSD distributor, and especially the Edelbrock Pro-Flo fuel injection system. That's right...turn key fuel injection! The full package is rated at 340 hp, and the dual exhaust does a great job of announcing this monster motor to everyone. Getting all this power to the ground is Ford's four-speed transmission that feed a stout 9-inch rear end. But power is nothing without control, and that's why you'll see a whole host of upgrades in the undercarriage photos. This includes an independent front suspension with tubular upper and lower A-arms, and there's a four-link rear with adjustable coilovers. This is backed up by four-wheel disc brakes, with modern BG Goodrich rubber on polished MB Motoring wheels. But, as much as all of this is for performance, it also sounds like a much more comfortable ride, right? That's why this pickup also has great features like the overdrive transmission and power steering. So feel free to intimidate everyone on a Saturday night cruise, or simply go for a lazy Sunday drive. A beautifully built, well sorted pickup, with details that will make everyone stop and admire it. What could be better? How about a price that beats just about any other comparable '56 F100 out there! The only problem is that market prices have skyrocketed lately. So the value price already makes this 1966 Ford F-100 attractive even before you inspect its stellar condition. First off, this white paint with red accents gives off a feeling that's mixture of tradesman's ride and classic hot rod. Because this one doesn't show a lifetime of working 9 to 5, you can really see the intricate sheetmetal that came on these vintage pickups. Ford did an amazing job in '66 with a little fender flare in the front, power dome hood, and the sporty appearance of the flareside bed. Plus, the red wheels do a great job of conveying an aggressive attitude, without betraying this F-100's vintage nature. There isn't an overload of brightwork, so you instantly take in the details like the badging, and side mirror. As cool as this pickup looks, it's not afraid to still roll up its sleeves and get dirty. That's why the wood bed floor has been replaced with clean, tough steel, and the whole area has been treated with lining paint. Open the door and you'll find a bench seat covered in a cool red and black pattern that helps set the mood for the entire interior. The door panels and rubber floor are a nice black that doesn't really show dirt, and the dash is given a nice aggressive red touch. Even with this modern combination, there are still great vintage touches like the classic Ford steering wheel, and clear original speedometer package. You can take your friends around in comfort with the heat/defrost, and knob-style AM/FM stereo. But you'll be the one enjoying everything the most because your right hand will never leave the hot rod style shifter. The VIN will tell you this should be powered by a 240 cubic-inch inline six cylinder motor, and that's exactly what you'll find under the hood. For those disappointed that this isn't a V8 truck, you really should experience what a torquy 3.9-liter motor feels like. It has potent presence, especially since you have complete control of the powerband thanks to the three-speed manual transmission. The engine bay even looks kind of cool with the block's upright dark appearance, and the aggressive red accents. But more importantly this motor fires up without hesitation, and power steering means it's easy to take down the road. In fact, with its GVWR at 5,000 lbs and trailer hitch, this Ford can even be a very cool and distinct way to tow some toys. This is your opportunity to pay a little and get a lot. Vintage pickups are hot, but this well-sorted and stylish F-100 is well within any budget. We'll begin with the number 1. As in: this 1955 F100 is quite possibly the nicest, or '1 of' the nicest, pickups on the planet. Of course, a number that substantial has to have quite a few more numbers to back it up. So, how about 4.5? As in: 4.5 years worth of restoration and customization. Then there's 112,000. As in: $112,000 worth of parts and materials for that restoration and customization. Next comes 295,000. As in: $295,000 worth of labor during that restoration and customization. And last but certainly not least: 425,000 and, once again, 1. As in: the amount the truck appraised for just 1 short year ago. Looking for a world-class showstopper that's above and beyond pretty much anything outside of six-figure corporate builds? Fix your gaze on this incredible custom Effie! BODYWORK/TRIM Professionally rehabilitated and customized during a 6-figure, 4.5-year restoration, this striking F100 spent most of its life as a no-frills American workhorse. In what amounted to a systematic, no-expense-spared rebuild, its solid body was completely stripped, hand-altered and layered in a modified coat of Toyota Hot Lava PPG Deltron 2-stage. And today, the truck rolls as a game changing half-ton that's one part lust and two parts envy! If this Ford is any indication, roughly half a million dollars nets some very impressive attributes. At the front of the truck, a smoothed and painted grille hangs modern halo headlights above clear parking lamps and a modified valance that swaps factory chrome for monochromatic trim. Behind that grille, a shaved hood leads the eye to smoked glass, which plants singled side windows between shaved drip rails and Specialty intermittent wipers. Look closely at the top of that glass and you'll notice that the truck's rather large forehead has been significantly streamlined thanks to careful pancaking and a few inches of forward tilt. Opposite that roof, a flowing profile centers shaved doors and slender hot rod mirrors above custom running boards that frame low-profile exhaust pipes. Those boards melt into heavily modified fenders that, thanks to fresh wheel openings, are completely centered on the trucks axles. Between those fenders, a completely custom bed frames a billet fuel filler in satin-finish wood. And at the back of that bed, a custom tailgate flows in to a custom roll pan that's embedded with Cadillac LED taillights. ENGINE Hoist the shaved and insulated bonnet and you'll find 5.4 liters of Ford mod motor that, thanks to a color-keyed supercharger, twists big horsepower into gobs of stump-pulling torque! At the top of the Jet Black mill, a monochromatic pipe shuttles wind from a remote air cleaner to a Ford throttle body. That wind joins fossils thanks to Ron Francis wiring and Ford electronic injection, which make excellent use of Ford fuel rails and custom fuel lines. As that reaction turns into compression, resultant gases are jettisoned through custom stainless headers. That compression's cooling is provided by a custom aluminum radiator, which stores water in front of a requisite puller fan. There's a modern serpentine system that spins a fresh alternator beside a modern AC compressor. And, aesthetically, the truck's custom engine compartment is exceptionally well done, featuring first-rate ancillaries like SVT coil covers, Canton fluid tanks, a fresh brake booster, a billet hood latch and a billet-secured Optima battery. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION One peek under this sweet F100 reveals some of the best work money can buy. First and foremost, a heavily modified frame is sandwiched between stainless hardware and color-keyed, undercoated floors. Behind the five-four, an AODE Super StreetFighter 4-speed, rated for up to 500 horsepower, utilizes a 2,400 RPM stall to twist a custom driveshaft. At the end of that driveshaft, a proven Ford 9-inch spins a posi-traction differential around smooth gears and tough, 31-spline axles. That first rate drivetrain pushes a modern 4-link suspension, which features adjustable coil-over-shocks. Tracking is provided by a Heidts Superide front-half, which centers Flaming River power rack-and-pinion steering between two more adjustable coil-overs. Braking is equally class, with Wilwood 6 and 4-piston calipers squeezing a quartet of drilled and slotted rotors. The aforementioned headers dump spent gases in to stainless, billet-strung pipes, which breathe through throaty Flowmaster mufflers. There's a Rick's stainless fuel tank that's built around an internal fuel pump. And power meets the pavement through Colorado Custom Leadville Aces, which twist 255/45R18 Toyo Proxes in front of 295/45R20 Toyo Proxes. INTERIOR Pop this Ford's electronic doors and you'll find a completely custom interior that blends Hot Lava paint with supple leather trim. Front and center, a tastefully modified dash seats classy VDO telemetry amid components for proven Vintage Air climate control. Opposite that dash, modern bucket seats stretch tight hides under polished buttons. Between those seats, a custom console centers a slender Lokar shifter in front of a polished hand brake and hidden Custom Autosound audio. At the bottom of that console, custom sills frame premium, orange-lit carpet, which rides under color-keyed floor mats and metal foot pedals. At the edges of that carpet, tailored door panels prop billet handles in front of Specialty power windows. At the top of those windows, a sculpted headliner bridges the gap between a billet mirror and leather cab panels. And the driver stays connected to the road through a tilting Flaming River column and color-keyed Budnik wheel. Just keep looking over all the pictures of this custom-built 1951 Ford F-1, and soon you'll realize the cool paint, custom interior, and 302 V8 makes this everything you want, plus a truck bed. This is an aggressive take on one of the most iconic pickup trucks around. Look at the sizzling red paint; the lowered stance; the 17-inch front and big 20-inch rear Riddler wheels all of this tells the world the only work you're truck wants to do is lay down black marks. But what will really get you hooked on this pickup are the details. The curves in the hood have been used to create a painted nice custom stripe package. This is the main focus point for the black accents that include the teeth of the grille and the walls of the truck bed. In fact, while the bed looks stylish, that's a spray-in liner around the treated wood. So if you ever did need to go to the hardware store, this pickup can bring your project home in a hurry. Open the door and the red and black theme continues on this completely custom interior. Gone is the bench, and in its place are two infinitely more comfortable bucket seats, trimmed in black vinyl with red cloth inserts. In between, there's a center console and cup holders. This color scheme continues on the door panels, roof, carpets, and dashboard. And speaking of that dash, it's hard to find something this nice in a '50s Ford pickup. The utilitarian roots are erased with a full custom AutoMeter gauge setup that includes the speedometer, and tachometer, behind the more modern Ford steering wheel. Angled and molded into the dash towards the driver is a cool auxiliary gauge setup, and below that is the AM/FM/CD stereo. This cool custom even has air conditioning to keep you and your passenger completely comfortable. Under the hood, the flathead V8 has been traded in for a larger 302 cubic-inch Ford motor. It's been further upgraded with a Holley carburetor and Weiand intake to keep the power reliably on tap. Even if the rumble of the dual exhaust sounds a bit like a hot rod, this is a true driver's pickup. Cruising is made easy by the C4 three-speed automatic transmission and power steering. Plus, the suspension has been upgraded to a Ford Crown Vic front end with power front disc brakes too, so driving this custom pickup is fun! This is the cool, unique, and affordable vintage pickup that can go to work with you on the weekdays, and park proudly at the car shows on the weekend. Packing V8 power, a five speed manual transmission, a high-visibility paint job, and all the creature comforts you'd expect, this beautiful pickup is a secret hot rod that really can do it all. There's no denying that the mid-50s Ford pickups were some of the best-looking tools ever built. With that aggressive forward-canted attitude (further emphasized by the custom stance,) the curvy bodywork has a classic old pickup look that also manages to be sporty at the same time. This one is custom creation, but it keeps many of the original pieces like the chrome bumpers, door handles, and badging, to travel a bit incognito and keep its vintage style. Fit and finish are good all around, and the deep red shine always looks fantastic on these models. While this Ford is a show-stopper, don't be surprised if people actually spend more time looking at the rear of this one. That's because it has interesting features such as the rare wraparound big back window, a pristine real wood truck bed, and while this pickup tries to fly under the radar with original-style hubcaps, there is no hiding the massive rear wheels. Open the door and you can see instantly that this is a custom build with a lot of money invested. The standard bench seat has been replaced with a custom leather setup, with sculpted seating for the driver and passenger. The black and red color scheme is continued everywhere on the interior, including the door panels, carpets, and headliner. Everyone gets to take advantage of the power windows, cup holders, power locks, AM/FM/XM/CD stereo, and R-134a air conditioning, but this is a true driver's pickup. There is a custom three-spoke steering wheel with Ford's famous V8 logo in the middle. Beyond that is an upgraded full gauge package with classic looking instruments, and no one can miss that cool hot rod-style tall gearshift leaver. The moment you pop the hood at the car show everyone will know you have something special. After all, how many F-100 pickups do you see with a clamshell hood? And once people get closer, they will see this beast of a motor shining brightly in the super-slick engine bay. This is a 351 cubic-inch Windsor V8 that's been upgraded with performance goodies such as a Holley Double Pumper carburetor, Edelbrock aluminum intake, MSD distributor, Ford Motorsport finned valve covers, and headers that connect to wicked sounding dual exhaust. The truck handles great on the road thanks to a Mustang subframe up front and a remote controlled air ride suspension for the rear. Traction is well in hand because those whitewall tires are really modern BF Goodrich radials. And being both good on the street and the strip seems to be this pickup's theme. It has a five-speed ZF manual transmission, which means you can always be in the best gear to get the most out of the motor, or you can simply cruise effortless in overdrive. In fact, considering this is a power steering car with disc brakes up front, you can easily drive to car shows many states away without breaking a sweat. This custom build perfectly combines classic looks, modern conveniences, and high horsepower. This fine Ford has already been getting a ton of attention in our showroom. The Ford F-1 is arguably the best-looking post-war truck. While they all have a basic industrial attractiveness, this specimen is a cut-above because of its customizing. It starts with the aggressive lowered stance that is emphasized further by the great maroon paint. It's the perfect balance of looking fantastic, without setting off alarms that this is a non-driving trailer queen. After all, this pickup was built to enjoy. The front grille, which is often kept in chrome or white, matches the rest of the car body on this F-1. It gives the rest of the brightwork a chance to really standout in places like the detailed slats on the hood, bumpers, and the stylish Devino wheels. As expected with a custom truck like this, the bed has a real wood floor, and it looks brand new. We can't confirm that no one hauled something back here, but any duty this pickup has seen since its build has been done with great care. The interior is simply gorgeous with tan leather seats and comfy cloth inserts. This is a color scheme that matches the carpets and even coordinates with the wood on the custom Billet Specialties steering wheel. The exterior maroon paint is used on the door panels, and wraps onto the dashboard, to complete this color-coordinated hot rod. Everyone gets to enjoy the AM/FM/CD stereo, power windows, and provisions for air conditioning. But the driver gets the most fun. There's a nice floor-mounted shifter to rest your right hand. Plus, while you're enjoying the power steering with your left hand, there's a full set of VDO gauges to keep an eye on what's going on under the hood. One quick look in the engine bay, and you'll know that's not a Ford motor. It's not much of a worry that this blue oval has Chevy power because the 350 cubic-inch small-block V8 is one of the most versatile and upgradeable powerplants around. In fact, this one already has improvements bolted on, such as the Edelbrock performance air cleaner and matching valve covers. Beyond that is an Edelbrock intake, performance headers, and a sweet sounding Flowmaster dual exhaust. All this power is handled by a stout TH350 three-speed automatic transmission before being sent to a 10-bolt rear end. The final component that makes sure this whole package gets the most power to the road is a set of grippy BF Goodrich g-Force tires. Plus, when it comes time to stop, there are four-wheel disc brakes supported by Wilwood components. This is a truck that looks great and drives even better. It's a Ford pickup that attracts a lot of attention, but the enthusiast who will enjoy it most is the one sitting behind the wheel. This 1964 Ford F-100 is a true lesson in honest endurance. Take a look at that Skylight Blue paintwork. It might not be the freshest you've ever seen, and that's because that's the exact same paint this F-100 had when it was delivered to the Charlotte area over a half-century ago. So considering this has been on the same truck for well over a generation, you're looking at award-worthy factory application. This pickup was about going to work, so you won't find much chrome, but that's actually is an advantage. The white bumper, wheels, and F-O-R-D on the tailgate complement the light blue paint quite nicely on this essentially rust free, and almost ding/dent free gem. The colors of the exterior continue inside. The blue vinyl carries decades of history worn in by the previous two owners. All the correct details are in place, from the zipper pouch in the driver's door, to the streak of white that runs across the dash. The original instruments are still in place and are fully functional right down to the hear/defrost controls. While trucks were supposed to be basic, this F-100 is one of the few you'll find with an original AM radio. Under the hood is Ford's premium Y-block motor. This 292 cubic-inch V8 had such the perfect combination of smooth running operation, and torque on demand, that it was utilized in this pickup as well as the Thunderbird cars. It shows all signs of being the original powerplant, and it looks amazingly honest in the engine bay, right down to the original sticker on the air cleaner. Good maintenance means you can get into this pickup and fire it right up without hesitation. Plus, the column-shifted three-speed manual transmission is geared to keep up with traffic. So this Ford is still ready to eat up the road miles, and get to work. It even sits on modern Hankook Optimo tires, so you can still get good grip no matter the weather. This F-100 has been going to work for over 50 years, and it's nowhere near ready for retirement. This can be an excellent restoration candidate, but just as it is, there will be crowds at the car show amazed at just how great this survivor wears its history. But because it also has the biggest V8 available at the time, this F-Series can still do a hard day's work when called to duty. People will do a double take when they see this pickup. After all, these trucks were often used and abused, and this looks like its showing up for its first day of work on the farm. Its amazing condition is a true testament to the recent restoration. The paint is new, and underneath is straight sheetmetal, with uniform panel gaps that look better than ever. It's not trying to be too showy with too much brightwork, which makes each piece really noticeable. This includes the chrome strip with a racing red stripe, that runs the length of the truck. Of course there's no missing the two-piece Ford chrome hubcaps (but that's probably because you're also paying attention to the whitewall tires.) Still, beyond all these appearance features, this pickup is always ready to work. In fact, the truck bed has had tough painted diamond plating installed, so you can take on any weekend project. The interior is just as green as the exterior. It has all the details, right from the zipper pouch in the driver's door, to the streak of white that runs across the dash and into the side panels. The original instruments are still in place and are fully functional right down to the hear/defrost controls. While trucks are supposed to be basic, this one does offer some nice upgrades that are not out of place, such as the plush cloth bench seat, and a nice set of auxiliary gauges. Under the hood is an exceptionally honest looking V8 with a bit of a surprise. Not only does it show signs of being the original powerplant, but this is the 352 cubic-inch motor. That's right, they didn't get any larger than this optional engine for '64. Plus, it's truly up for work duty, thanks to a rebuild around 1,500 miles ago. The V8 makes great torque and is surprisingly smooth for a truck engine. With well-matched gears in the three-speed manual transmission, it keeps up with traffic without any issues. Designed for work, the rear end isn't geared for high-speed cruising, but it will roll at 65 MPH without any problems, and it'll do it with a bed full of 2x4s without complaint. This is the F-100 that you can haul a load on Saturday and take to the car show on Sunday. This has been beautifully restored to remind you of a hard day's work, and best of all, you can pick it up at a workman's price. This 1956 Ford F-100 has both and much more. It doesn't take for you to fall in love with this truck because the Ford F-100 is arguably the best-looking post-war pickup, and 1956 tends to be the favorite year. It only gets better when you take a look at the super-slick paintjob that makes the black rival the chrome for shininess in the sunlight. Of course the is amazing because '56 was the only year for this unique horizontal grille that goes uninterrupted from headlight to headlight. Also, this was the first year for the wraparound windshield, but what you'll really want to take notice of is the optional big wraparound rear window an exceptionally rare find today. Another extraordinary piece is the "overdrive" script below the Ford crest on the hood. We'll go into detail about the drivetrain shortly, but it's worth pointing out this text now because it's the kind of factory option that will draw attention at the car shows. It wouldn't be a cool vintage pickup without a real wood truck bed, and the polished blond timber shines just as bright as the pant, and at the same time provides a cool contrast to the black. Period-correct classic trucks are about authenticity not luxury. The driver gets the classic large embossed three-spoke wheel that always seems to be grippy from every angle. This is a true workman's vehicle, so extravagance means items like the heater that was there to warm you up after a long fall day out in the fields or woods. Still, there are some interesting style touches to the interior. For example, the red bench seat offers some nice color and it matches the F-O-R-D lettering on the outside hood badging and hubcaps. With a pickup that's been this authentic so far, you would expect nothing less than the period-correct 272 cubic-inch Y-block V8 living under the hood. It has all the great elements of a classic truck powerplant, like the tall carburetor, and oil bath air cleaner. Because this was the optional motor, it even has the valve covers announcing it as the Power King for the F-100. This V8 connects to a three-speed automatic transmission with overdrive, which makes it a rare option over the usual Ford-O-Matic unit. Because of all the restoration work that has gone into this truck, it runs smooth and feels competent on the road well beyond its near 60 years in the world. This Ford pickup isn't just beautiful. It also has a host of rare features, and steady reliability. It's this kind of full package that you can take out anytime and instantly turn heads. And at a price like this, it wont stay in our showroom long, call today!! 1956 Ford F-100 for Sale 1956 Ford F-100 for Sale Stock # 3134-CHA Charlotte Showroom 5400 West WT Harris Blvd Charlotte, NC 28269 Local/International: (704) 598-2130 Toll-Free: (866) 542-8392 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM EST Sat: 9AM - 5PM EST Email: [email protected] Atlanta Showroom 213 Thornton Rd Lithia Springs, GA 30122 Local/International: (678) 279-1609 Toll-Free: (877) 367-1835 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM EST Sat: 9AM - 5PM EST Email: [email protected] Dallas/Fort Worth Showroom 5400 Sandshell Dr Fort Worth, TX 76137 Local/International: (817) 764-8000 Toll-Free: (855) 877-2707 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM CST Sat: 9AM - 5PM CST Email: [email protected] TERMS OF SALE 1. So we're quite happy to offer this 1972 F-100 Ranger XLT that has had a real investment in bringing you all the features you want in a modern pickup at a value price. The Wimbledon White paint on this truck is that great kind of color that was made legendary by Ford's Mustang. It's a classic hue that looks thoroughly modern today, which is the theme of this pickup. This F-100 has been converted to bright halogen headlights and highly visible LED taillights. These are the kinds of desirable features that you notice when driving, but they don't take away from the authentic vintage appearance. Instead what people see are the standout features like the argent silver grille sitting above a bright chrome bumper, factory hubcaps, and a set of attractive and useful bed rails along with the nice stainless trim running the length of this beauty. Step inside, and this gives an impression of being pristinely original right down to the premium wood paneling. But take a close look, and you'll see a ton of custom upgrades. For starters, the Mustang-inspired steering wheel is the perfect conversation piece to go with the Wimbledon White paint. The bench seat has been recovered in an attractive and durable black leather. This pickup is comfortable for all occupants with upgraded air conditioning under the dash. There's even room for modern tunes since the period-correct AM/FM stereo has hidden provisions for an iPod hookup. This custom Ford has one more amazing upgrade that is hard to see, but you'll definitely hear. Not only is most of the weather stripping new, but also underneath the new carpeting and door panels is Dynamat. So this pickup has a level of quiet that goes beyond when it was new, and even rivals modern trucks. With all the work that has gone into the interior and exterior, you better believe there has also been some money invested in the engine bay. About a year ago the motor and automatic transmission were completely overhauled. This included giving the period-correct V8 a mild bore to 369 cubic-inches. The whole drivetrain was upgraded, including a new radiator, new suspension, and new dual exhaust system. The power brakes were even upgraded to discs up front. All of this work has less than 500 miles on it since completion. So whether you use this F-100 for work or show, it is exceptionally reliable right from the showroom. Here's a pickup that looks like a cool classic, but leaves you wanting for nothing in modern features (we'll show you thousands in receipts worth of recent work.) Combine that with an attitude that's still not afraid to get its hands dirty, and a value price. Now you realize this is more fun and a better value than a brand new F-Series. This 1956 Ford F-100 has that perfect vintage feeling to do all that, and enough V8 power that maybe its workdays are not necessarily behind it. Bright red Ford pickups are a staple of Americana as much as gas pumps, corn fields, and baseball caps, and the mid-50s Fords are among the most attractive working machines of the period. This one's days of punching the time clock are well behind it, although these have been built so tough that a Home Depot run is never out of the question (just make sure you protect the pristinely restored wood bed first!) There's good workmanship here, with straight panels, good alignment, and paint that's glossy without trying to be too flashy. The same humble-but-cool feeling comes from the brightwork on the bumper, grille, hood badging, and Ford two-piece hubcaps. This pickup went through a full frame-off restoration to return it to 1950s-spec, and the interior was certainly part of this rejuvenation. The whole inside is brightened up with a healthy dose of the same factory red that was applied to the outside. The vinyl bench seat has an eye-catching coordination with the paintwork without looking too fancy. The driver gets the classic large embossed three-spoke wheel that always seems to be grippy from every angle. This is a true workman's vehicle, so the main feature is a clear set of gauges to know what's going on with the motor at all times. Beyond that, it's the true necessities like the heater that was there to warm you up after a long fall day out in the fields. Under the hood you'll find an upgrade to a 312 cubic-inch V8 that doesn't spoil this pickup's original charm. Those who know these second-generation Ford F-Series trucks recognize that the factory engine displacement was never this large, but other versions of this Y-Block were available across the Ford family in 1956. So this period-correct more powerful motor might have been borrowed from a Thunderbird, and then it was given all the right truck touches such as the gray valve covers and tall oil bath air cleaner. This is mated to a column-mounted three-speed manual transmission. All of this combined means you can roll down the windows on this one and listen to the engine make its rhythmic symphony of simplicity. This is an exceptionally clean and authentic version of the pickups we all love. You can look at it from every angle (even the underside) and be impressed at with the quality of its restoration.
