Purchased in March of 2012. Receipt in file.) EXTERIOR COLOR: ODOMETER READING: 33083 INTERIOR COLOR : VEHICLE FEATURES & OPTIONS Restoration Receipts, Manual Convertible Top, Vinyl Interior SELLER REMARKS This is a very interesting 1928 Ford Model A Roadster. It's fresh off an excellent restoration where components were added that kept all this classic's charm, while adding in a few features that will only make you want to drive it more. This Model A has the kind of story you want to tell. A decade ago this was a sedan that belonged to a WWII veteran. He sold it to the next owner who saw huge potential in the chassis. So a new $10,000 roadster body was built, and this vintage Ford was given a complete restoration/rebirth. The entire process was only finished last year, which is why the cream and green paint looks so fresh and stunning. But that's not the only thing that catches your eye. The 1928 Model As are often sought-after for this shorter grille with the bracing bar in between the headlights. And everything on this one looks correct from the red wire wheels to the black folding roof that matches the fenders. Peek inside and you'll see the seats and door panels have been restored in a great looking and durable brown vinyl. The exterior color scheme continues on this dashboard, and you see this from behind the fresh and bold tan four-spoke steering wheel. All the gauges in the bright center panel look great and (more importantly) work perfectly. This is the ideal sunny day friend, and if you have more than one companion on your ambling road trips, there's even a rumble seat upholstered to match the front seats. When you open the hood, you'll see a very honest and correct 200 cubic-inch Ford four-cylinder motor. But then you look a little closer. Keen eyes will spot the six-volt alternator for better reliability. Plus, the motor's restoration included high compression pistons added for better performance. This rebuild happened about 3 miles ago, so you have the opportunity to be just about the first one to enjoy this enhancement (aside from one trip to the local golf course). Just to make sure this would be a joy to drive, there was also nearly $2K invested in obtaining a Mitchell Manufacturing Model A Ford synchromesh three-speed transmission. This will make you one of the few Model A owners not out there double-clutching. By now you realize just how special and thoughtful the restoration was on this Model A roadster. It was very high quality, and expensive, too, and we have the receipts to prove it. That's why it seems so amazing that you can get such a quality build with such an interesting story for under $25K. Just go for a short cruise in this 1934 Ford Roadster, and you'll find out what it's like to be more popular than a rockstar. The '34 Ford is a true icon, and this one does everything right. Shaved door handles, chopped windshield, and suicide doors give it a classic hot rod look. The red paint shines so bright on the laser-straight body that the only reason this one uses chrome is for the functional billet grilles. The cool blue pinstriping runs around the entire car, and even reminds everyone this is a desirable "Cabriolet" right behind the doors. The full fenders perfectly heighten the aggressive stance. They cover the Boyd Coddington aluminum wheels in the front, and run seamlessly to the back, where it looks like they can barely contain all the power from the taller, wider rear tires. But glance beyond the award-worthy appearance, and you'll see some everyday practicality. This is in everything from the third brake light for safety, to the hard top for the days when the weather isn't roadster-perfect. Inside is a full custom interior, trimmed nicely in tan and wood. It's surprisingly roomy for you and your co-pilot, with cushy cloth seating, and enough space to spread out your legs. This is the first indication of a driver-friendly interior, but certainly not the last. This hot rod comes loaded like it was a luxury car, with features such as power seats (with custom '34 embroidery), tilt/telescoping steering wheel, remote door openers, and an AM/FM/CD stereo. But the best feature you'll enjoy the most for all-day cruising is the ice-cold air conditioning. This runs R-134A, which means servicing it is also significantly easier. Specifically for the driver, there is a Lecarra sport steering wheel. Beyond that is a full set of Classic Instrument gauges set in a handsome wood dash panel. It wouldn't be a true hot rod without some serious V8 power, and this one doesn't disappoint. Just as everything else on this car seems to be a modern take on a classic, this one carries a 305 cubic-inch motor... but you've get fuel injection for added power and reliability! Of course because you bought this custom build to show off, the entire engine bay has been hit with polished metal and racy red accessories. The power from the silky-smooth 305 TPI V8 is sent to a TH350 three-speed automatic transmission, before running to the sturdy Mustang rear end. Just to make sure those massive BF Goodrich rear tires stay hooked to the pavement, this one is running a coilover rear suspension. When you do hit the gas, those few who didn't see you coming will take notice of the serious rumble from the dual exhaust. This whole powertrain package might seem like it was just built to race between stoplights, but this hot rod carries a sensible side, too. After all, the 3.08 rear end ratio is great for all conditions, and the front disc brakes keeps stopping easily under control. Go ahead and enjoy the open road. This '34 Ford has you covered for everything from the local drive-in, to the coolest highway cruiser. We know everywhere you stop you will be getting compliments and thumbs up in this great Ford...call today!! 1934 Ford Cabriolet for Sale 1934 Ford Cabriolet for Sale Stock # 3214-CHA Charlotte Showroom 5400 West WT Harris Blvd Charlotte, NC 28269 Local/International: (704) 598-2130 Toll-Free: (866) 542-8392 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM EST Sat: 9AM - 5PM EST Email: [email protected] Atlanta Showroom 213 Thornton Rd Lithia Springs, GA 30122 Local/International: (678) 279-1609 Toll-Free: (877) 367-1835 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM EST Sat: 9AM - 5PM EST Email: [email protected] Dallas/Fort Worth Showroom 5400 Sandshell Dr Fort Worth, TX 76137 Local/International: (817) 764-8000 Toll-Free: (855) 877-2707 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM CST Sat: 9AM - 5PM CST Email: [email protected] Tampa Showroom 4610 Pet Lane Lutz, FL 33559 Local/International: (813) 501-1630 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM EST Sat: 9AM - 5PM EST Email: [email protected] TERMS OF SALE 1. Inside is a full custom interior trimmed in black and gray. It's surprisingly roomy for you and your gal (or guy) with cushy cloth seating and enough space to spread out your legs. This Ford Model A pickup offers the unique feeling of an old-style hot rod without having to give up modern conveniences. This truck has a mean stance that combines the original hot rod spirit with a bit more modern touches. This fiberglass body truck, which appeals to more of a driving crowd, was worked to near perfection. You can go for a 1930s-style cruise without the apprehension. Specifically, the body certainly has tighter gaps than an original Model A, and any road scuffs don't feel like you've altered nearly 100 years of history. This truck was built with the idea to be as straight, clean, and clutter-free as possible. So upon closer inspection, you'll notice the shaved door handles (access is gained by remote control). The teal paint is a slick as it gets. Simplicity in appearance doesn't mean this truck is missing the little touches. For example, the dual exhaust is integrated into the rear pan, and the turn signals nearly hidden at the bottom of the front fenders are signs of a detailed build. Inside this truck blends old and new worlds almost seamlessly. There is the classic bench seats setup, but it is done in a tasteful two-tone gray leather that's been sectioned for the two occupants. The door panels, carpeting, and headliner all match this color scheme very nicely. The air conditioning, and heat/defrost vents are integrated into the custom dash so well that you'd swear that Model As were supposed to come with ventilation. Just like the outside, the dashboard has been streamlined, which means switches for the power windows and other modern convinces are hidden to avoid clutter. The gauges are in the center just like an original truck, but this one has been upgraded to a full Dolphin package to provide this hot rod's full vital info. The final touch is the Grant sports steering wheel with tilt column. Beneath the skin is where a new build really has its advantages. Upfront is an independent suspension with power disc brakes, and coilover setup in the rear. All of this combined with 15-inch sport tires says that this hot rod was made to eat the streets. The power for this truck is an obvious beast that everyone can see. It is a Chevy 350 cubic inch small block, which is the perfect platform to give great power directly out of the crate, but still easily upgradeable on any lazy Sunday. It's your choice to change the valve covers to chrome, but with the air cleaner, alternator, radiator, and headers already gleaming, the black actually adds distinction. The V8 is mated to a 3-speed automatic transmission, and the power is sent to a stout Ford 9-inch rear end that is made even hardier by Mosler axles. It's easy to love a Model A when it is accepted into so many crowds. This is a truck, a hot rod, and a very nicely customized vehicle that can easily make friends wherever it goes. This incredible Ford Model A! With the universal appeal of high dollar eye candy, and the road going prowess of a late model cruiser, this slick sedan is a well built custom that provides its owner the best of both worlds. And what's better: you can have your show stopper and drive it too for a fraction of the money and time it takes to complete a ground-up build. If you're an anxious buyer who's tired of the 'garage furniture' culture that seems to pervade the classic car hobby, this stunning Ford is one of the coolest road-ready hot rods your money can buy! BODYWORK/TRIM This clean custom's taut Bruiser Enterprises body began life as high quality, hand-laid fiberglass that was worked, shaped and cured into a lean, long and low profile. When the car's current owner took possession of its smooth and solid shell, he promptly added thick primer and soothing gray single-stage. And in the fall of 2014, this Ford hit the scene as a banner showpiece that mixes the skill of experienced fabricators with the integrity of experienced builders. When it comes to details, this sultry sedan mixes just the right amount of pre-war charm with high quality, 21st century enhancements to produce spinning heads and gawking fans. At the front of its body, a color-keyed spreader bar hangs amber Unity driving lamps in front of a polished grille and chrome-trimmed, dual-mode headlights. Behind that grille, a steel Chassisworks firewall anchors a sophisticated hood in front of a stainless-trimmed windshield that's equipped with a small traffic light viewer. Behind that visored glass, shaved doors and 2-tone mirrors frame a tinted greenhouse, a color-keyed fuel filler and Teak roof accents. And at the back of the car, sculpted taillights illuminate a bright tag bracket above a louvered roll pan. Stepping back, its safe to say the car's profile combines the clean, simple look that's typical of classic, fenderless hot rods with a number of rat rod accents. And overall, its first class build integrates the greatest attributes of both old and new into a unifying vision that establishes a lasting impression. ENGINE Check this custom's gray engine bay and you'll find a mean, 350 cubic inch BluePrint Engines small block that's good for 273 rear-wheel horsepower and 358 lb./ft. of tire-twisting torque. At the top of that Cast Silver mill, a finned air cleaner forces wind in to a coated Edelbrock carburetor that's fed through a small pressure gauge and polished Edelbrock canister filter. At the base of that carburetor, an aluminum intake hangs an aftermarket HEI distributor between finned, center-bolt valve covers and proven Vortec cylinder heads. At the base of those covers, high quality MSD Super Conductor plug wires snake around jet-coated Sanderson Twister headers. And in front of those headers, a tough AFCO radiator utilizes a big SPAL puller fan to keep the engine cool and the driver confident. Aesthetically, both the monochromatic mill and its assortment of bright accessories seem right at home inside their smooth frame. And details like trick dipsticks, a fabricated coolant tank and a fresh Powermaster starter ensure this classic runs every bit as good as it looks. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION In keeping with its 'impressive but functional' theme, this first class Ford rides a custom-fabricated chassis that's been fully worked and professionally powdercoated. The smooth 350's power flows in to a rugged 700R4 auto that was rebuilt by Rincon Transmission of Rincon, Georgia. That 4-speed spins a familiar GM 10-bolt that, thanks to Powertrain Inc. of Savannah, Georgia, twists big, 3.70 gears. At the head of those heavy duty components, a Pete & Jake's Super Bell axle makes good use of familiar hairpins, a widened spring and a traditional, manual steering rack. Opposite that rack, a 4-bar rear half features tough coli-over-shocks. That suspension counters the engine's grunt with Wilwood-assisted Borgeson discs and drums. All that hardware rolls on 16-inch painted steel wheels, which spin staggered Coker Classic whitewalls around snazzy "V8" center caps. And a Tanks Inc. 16-gallon fuel reserve provides plenty of range while a Class II hitch provides plenty of hauling capability. INTERIOR Take a look inside this custom and you'll find a spectacular street rod interior that, like the car's striking exterior, has been carefully pieced together. At the center of the cockpit, Hunt's handcrafted bomber seats anchor small, vinyl pads under sturdy Sparco harnesses. In front of those seats, a sculpted Chassisworks dash hangs crisp Auto Meter Pro-Comp Ultra-Lite telemetry around satin air vents and controls for the car's Vintage Air climate system. Below that dash, like-new carpet floats a long Lokar shifter and aviation-themed consolette amid trick foot pedals, thick Lizard Skin insulation and diamond-plate kick panels. At the sides of that carpet, electronically actuated doors hang power-operated windows behind thin trim, speed-drilled pulls and louvered frames. Above those doors, a tight headliner frames a small mirror, a small dome lamp and Teak roof bows. In front of the driver, a simple Sparco steering wheel laps a traditional Everlasting turn signal switch. And behind the passengers, a chopped storage nook anchors a modern battery and small tender behind a sturdy, color-keyed roll bar. OUR SALE INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTATIONBuild photosBuild receiptsAn official BluePrint Engine dyno sheetA binder of component paperwork This striking Ford is a nicely finished classic that was built to be driven AND seen. Well here's your chance. This one of a kind custom 1932 Hi-Boy Roadster is the real deal and packs some very unique characteristics inside, outside, and under the hood! When looking at these historic roadsters, simplicity seems to jump out right away, but with a closer look you can see all the details that make these cars one of a kind. If you couldn't tell by the insignia on the grille, this is in fact a Hotrod. You see that starting with the custom black matte paint that really helps all the red pinstriping stand out as well as the frame that has been painted a glossy red. Adding in some much needed detail is the custom pinstriping artwork featured on the trunk. It's got that awesome minimalist look that strips the '32 down to the barest of minimums, with a pair of headlights perched on the frame, but precious little else to slow it down. Even the door handles were shaved to create a smooth simple body. A stainless grille insert and chrome spreader bar up front give some contrast, while out back there is a color-matched gas tank to make it look authentic. To match the painted frame, a red custom interior was installed. Pleated vinyl seats, matching door panels, and a cool colored dash all give it a polished look that's as sophisticated as the exterior. This roadster even has seat-belts. The custom painted dash houses Dolphin gauges and little else as a simplistic approach was the best. The three spoke red steering wheel keeps with the simple theme and feels right at home. It's fully carpeted, something that few roadsters enjoyed back in the day, with plush black carpet and the custom high rise shifter comes through the floor ready for the driver to take this car for a spin. And with this roadster, you also get a nicely finished trunk with a trick battery box and plenty of room for gear. A roadster wouldn't be complete without a V8 engine. This little beauty has a 305 V8 nestled in the engine compartment. The engine has been painted red to match the rest of the car and has been dressed up with a chrome alternator and polished valve covers. Bolted to the small block is a TH350 automatic transmission. The front and rear suspensions are the traditional dropped axle on a transverse leaf spring. Power steering has been added for convenience, and it does have power front disc brakes for impressive stopping power. Red wheels, on which the hub-caps are indeed skulls, carry 195/75/14 front and 235/75/15 rear wide whitewall Coker radials for an old-school look with modern tire technology . A neat little roadster that will definitely stand out at shows simply because it dares to be just a little different. With all the custom details, this one is sure to be a conversation starter. It's a Ford Model A on the outside, but underneath, everything has been rebuilt to be the ultimate hot rod. There's no question that this panel delivery van has an instant presence. The Jewel Red paintwork has the kind of depth that looks like the whole body was dipped in candy. New fiberglass fenders help disguise the modern Goodyear Eagles, including the taller 15-inch rubber in the rear for the perfect hot rod stance. There are other restomod vans out there, but 1929 is the perfect year. This was the first time Ford offered the sedan delivery vehicles without a special production order, and this was the year for the distinctive shorter body. The look was probably not as good for loading up the maximum amount of flapper dresses, flowers, or illegal spirits during the prohibition years, but today it has a cool 'shortie' appearance where the rear fenders extend past the body. This delivery even pays tribute to the original Henry Ford design by keep some faithful touches such as the bumpers and the canvas roof cover. The interior has been fully customized to take this from an industrial vehicle to a comfortable cruising machine. Every convenience in this car is modernized, including power steering, power brakes, power windows...the leather bucket seats are even heated! The AM/FM/CD player has provisions for USB and an auxiliary port for items like your iPod. The dual pod package from Classic Gauges looks like it could have come from the 1920s, but it offers far more vital information. Cars of this era offered a clear view underneath the dash, and so the superior detail level has been extended to items like the tile steering column, pedals, and shift lever. Underneath the white and red interior is a full layer of Dynamat for noise and heat prevention. This not only allows the air conditioner keep the whole cabin cool, but it also helps insulate the rumbles that this hot rod shares with the world. A true hot rod needs a beast of an engine, and this one has a mighty 350 cubic-inch V8. Is it blasphemous to run a Chevy motor in a Ford? Certainly not when it's been given some serious performance upgrades. The rebuilt small block V8 has been fitted with a forged crank, Comp Cams camshaft, and roller rocker valvetrain. Delivering the fuel is a Weiand intake manifold connected to a 600 cfm Edelbrock carburetor. The exhaust starts out in Patriot ceramic headers and ends its journey at the dual Magnaflow performance mufflers. The power passes through a three-speed GM Turbo 350 automatic transmission on its way to a stout Ford 9-inch rear end with a 3.25 ratio. There's a lot of torque that runs through this carrier, so it's a good thing that underpinning the vehicle is a robust new chassis. Since there may be the inevitable stop light drag race, there is a four-link rear suspension for clean take-offs and front disc brakes for the best control. Ford's original idea for these vehicles was for speedy, safe deliveries of fragile merchandise. This hot rod takes that idea to the extreme, while providing some of the creature comforts of a modern vehicle. With cars like this 1930 Ford Roadster we imagine it will be a very long time, if ever, that enthusiasts will get bored with the fun factor these little roadsters bring. Traditional good looks and a stout small block stuffed in a small body is what makes these cars so cool. If you're lucky enough to get up close and personal with this car, you'll probably first notice the liquid smooth coat of glossy black paint that adorns the Model A body panels. Those panels fit nicely with even gaps for an overall package that you would be proud to show off. In fact, there has been less than 3K miles put on this roadster since the build was completed, and it definitely shows. Accenting the black paint for a traditional look is a red pinstripe that features a Ford oval on both sides. There are removable hood louvers included so you can opt to show off the Ford small block as it is, or have them installed for a concealed, sleek look. The fenders and running boards give the car a vintage speedster vibe, while that stance sits on staggered 14'' wheels painted in red with faux knock-off white wall tire inserts to accent the nostalgic look. Inside is a two-tone interior wrapped in light grey and dark grey vinyl. There is room for two in the cockpit, but if you want to carry along another passenger or two the rear hatch lifts up to reveal a rumble seat that is covered in the same two-tone vinyl. The custom dash is molded from fiberglass and has been painted dark grey; it houses a complement of gauges that include a speedometer, oil pressure, voltage, water temperature, and fuel level. There is a panel of switches under the dash that also includes the ignition and headlight controls. A Lokar shifter is within easy reach for gear selection, and a 3-spoke Lecarra steering wheel sits on a tilt column. Power for this little roadster comes from a 302 cubic inch Ford V8 built by Terry Walters Precision Engines. That 302 is complemented with a Holley dual feed 600CFM carburetor, an Edelbrock Performer intake, ceramic coated headers, and an H.E.I. ignition. A C4 automatic transmission handles the power and sends it to a Ford 8'' rear end with 3.35 gears. Fire the small block to life and it exhales through a dual exhaust system with glasspack mufflers for a deep and throaty growl. Power brakes handle stopping duties with 215/70/14 front and 235/70/14 rear tires maintaining contact with the road. When it comes to the good times you have in a hot rod like this, you simply can't put a price on the memories. This '30 Ford Roadster has the look, feel, and sound that keep the many hot rod fans coming back for more. Here is a great opportunity to see what the appeal of owning a car like this is all about.
