Up for sale is my 1964 Nova, 400-series, 2 door Hardtop, that has undergone some restoration, all of which is mechanical. The vehicle features a completely rebuilt, period correct, 1965 230 cu. in. 6-cylinder (L61) engine, with 155 HP. No expense was spared in reconditioning and rebuilding the engine, and it runs great, having only about 530 miles since the rebuild. The plugs and wires are new, the coil is an Accel Super Coil, and the engine is currently equipped with a Pertronix Ignitor electronic ignition. The transmission is the original Powerglide, and it shifts smoothly. This Nova has 5-lug, 14-inch wheels, and completely new front and rear brakes, including hoses (front), lines, pads, wheel cylinders, hardware kit, etc. There are only 4 miles on the brakes, as I drove the vehicle from where it was being stored, to my current residence, and it has never been put on the road, as the following minor work, or parts are needed: new driver's-side floor pan and partial rocker panel, new tires, side window (lower tracks), passenger rear quarter panel, and trunk pan. Only the tires and floor pan are needed for the vehicle to be driveable, but new front bumper brackets and a bumper are needed. More pics and a detailed description to follow. Originally from Sacramento area, I imported the car to Canada in January 2012. Before I purchased the car it was just painted and had a new interior installed. Once I received the car and took it for a drive I was not happy with how it handled so the intention of purchasing a driver instantly was turned into another build project!Here is a list of the components used in the construction;· Detroit Speed front sub-frame assembly· Detroit Speed Quadra-Link system· Detroit Speed mini tubs· Detroit Speed sub-frame connectors· Detroit Speed variable speed wiper motor· C6 front disc brakes· Wilwood rear disc brakes· 2006 GTO LS2 (6.0)engine w/4L65e transmission· Auburn Posi unit· Motive 3:73 gears· Dakota VHX gauge package· Vintage Air Gen IV system· Ididit tilt steering column· Lokar floor mount shifter· American Autowire wiring and accessories· Procar “Elite” front seats· New windshield and seal· New rear glass seal· Steering fluid cooler· Trans fluid cooler· Rocket Racing wheels w/ BFG Comp 2 tires The LS2 installation differs a little from others as I wanted to retain most of the emissions it was designed for so I utilized the GTO harness and computers. The engine has both upstream o2 sensors and all engine sensors. I left the vapor system and the downstream o2 harness in place for future expansion. The computer tuning was performed on a dyno to optimize the performance and drivability, the final HP at the rear wheels is 430!The exhaust is custom made from Borla SS components, utilizing Magna Flow Catalytic convertors and Mufflers (also SS).During this time I completely rewired and insulated the car, installed new brake lines, new fuel lines, new ebrake cables and installed a Vintage Air Gen IV system.The A/C is not completed; it requires the installation of a compressor and hoses installed. The condenser is in place and the system wiring is complete.The biggest flaw with the car is the condition of the chrome around the side glass. The chrome is pitted and the side gas is de-laminating. I have all new side glass that is included with the sale.Even though I installed the DSE mini tub package I was not in a position to purchase the appropriate size wheels. The current wheel sizes are 17x7 on the front and 17x8 on the rear. The rear-end has been professionally narrowed and every part inside is new. VIDEO AND MORE PICS BELOW For sale is a literal farm fresh 1962 Nova 400 4 door in Nassau Blue. This car could go either way in terms of a parts car or put it back on the road. Other than the headliner being gone its all there! I am just going to share all the information I have about the car good, bad or indifferent and will let decide. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5tJR8N7s37M The car has been in Colorado its whole life and was owned by one family since 1966. The car was driven until the early 90's and it was parked behind a barn until I drug it home earlier this year. The guy I bought it from told me that it drove when they parked it. I replaced some essentials under the hood and now it starts right up, idles like a sewing machine and doesn't smoke. The brakes are the original 4 lug and don't work. They would need to be completely gone through and replaced or upgraded. The trans fluid was clean and it had a good color. I jacked up the rear end and it went in gear and the back wheels turned, but with no brakes I have not tried to drive it. Car rolls freely. Tires hold air. Unfortunately it was parked with an old battery in the trunk that leaked and caused the trunk pan bottom and the passenger quarter to rust out. The rear panel actually looks to be in good shape. Other than that area the car is pretty solid. Hit in the left quarter near the tail light. The rear bumper is bent up but the sheet metal behind it still looks to be unaffected. I have an extra bumper that is included in this sale.Left drop off is solid, Right one shot. Side swipe on drivers side, one piece of door trim missing. I may have an extra one but I will have to check. Trim is in OK condition, all four original hubcaps. Odometer shows 39,000 miles but assume its 139,000. Original radio as removed but is included with dash face plate. The grille is there but is towards the rougher side. It has tool marks and signs of being straightened... there a couple breaks in it too. Door panels are decent condition. All the windows go up and down. I do not think the front bench seat is original to the car. The car has new: spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor, points, condenser, coil, upper/lower radiator hoses, thermostat, radiator cap, water pump, heater hoses, belt, fuel pump, rebuilt carb, battery cables, adjusted rocker arms, valve cover gasket, pcv valve, oil cap. Fresh oil with ZDDP additive and coolant too. Headlights come on. I have an open Colorado title issued in 1978. Car is located in Loveland, Colorado (80537) Shipping/transportation is responsibility of the buyer. $500 nonrefundable Paypal deposit at end of auction. I can store the car for 14 days from end of auction. Can help load. Possible delivery for an extra charge if its somewhat close to northern Colorado. This is a drive able project. It comes with clear Michigan Title. It was a roller when I got it off the H.A.M.B. 3 or 4 yrs ago. I was putting it together to be used as a shop vehicle as well as taking it to Onondaga Drag way. The front clip was pulled,sandblasted and primed with zinc primer. I then fitted a crate GM 350ci/290 SBC along with a TH350 transmission. I modified the engine with 1.6 stainless roller rockers,headers,MSD Ignition, Holley Street Avenger Carb. Estimated at 325hp. New deep oil pan for Chevy II steering. New engine mounts. Almost everything installed is new parts. The torque converter is a B&M 2700 Hole Shot and the trans had a B&M Shift Kit installed. The driveshaft was custom built by Advantage Drive line with seamless tubing. The rear differential housing is from a 56 Chevy and it comes with two (2) center sections already set up,ready to go. One center section is a Corvettes Posi with 4.56 gears and the other is an open center section with 3.08 gears from 62 Chevy II. The buyer will get both setups so you will be able to drive around d town and then if you want to go bracket race,switch in the 4.56 gears. The suspension has been updated with new springs and shock at all 4 corners. The rear springs are Calvert Racing Split Monoleafs with traction bars. The front brakes have been updated to disc brakes with new calipers,rotors,pads. The master is now a dual master cylinder and also has a Wilwood Adjustable Proportioning Valve, along with all new brake lines and fuel lines. We also welded HD frame connectors so that car will not twist. The radiator was replaced with an aluminum radiator and electric fan that is run on a switch tho there is a sensor if you want it to run automatically. The shifter is a new B&M floor shifter. The battery is now located in the back and is inside a Moroso sealed battery box. Please look at the pictures and ask any questions you may have. Like I said before if you start adding up all the parts that have been installed, you will come up with a dollar figure that is well above what the asking price is and that doesn't include the labor to install and modify nor does that include the original price of the car. I have another deal that I need to follow through on and thus, this car needs to go so that I can follow through with that deal. Otherwise this car would not be going anywhere. This car is sold as is, where is. It comes with a clean clear Michigan Title. The car will need to be completely paid for within 7 days and I will need to have a deposit paid of at least $500 through PayPal within 24 hrs. If you need to do something different, then you will need to call me. Obviously I would prefer cash in hand. As far as picking the car up. It is stored at my shop and is inside the shop every night. It will continue to be inside at night until it is picked up by buyer. I will guarantee that the car will be safe and as is until it is picked up by buyer. I would prefer to have it picked up within 7 days of purchase but will help in any way that I am able.
