This true factory "SS" Nova features a terrific repaint in Cinnamon Red, a beautiful mostly original SS Deluxe interior, and a ground pounding 454 crate engine. This Nova has the manly electric exhaust cut outs which are perfect for rolling into a car show or cruise in. This Nova is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Red exterior over Black SS deluxe vinyl interior. This is an exceptional color scheme and the bucket seats with floor shifter and rally gauges really set this Nova apart from the others. The previous owner had this Nova for over 16 years and it comes with a 3 inch binder full of old photographs and receipts. Exterior The Cinnamon Red exterior is in great driver condition. This Nova was repainted years ago and the paint still has a great shine but has some minor flaws here and there around the car. The paint is in great driver condition and both bumpers are in good shape. The SS Nova stripes were just added and look fantastic on the car. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but noting was intentionally excluded from the photos. Tires have great tread left and are correctly sized 215/70/15. The wheels are in great shape. All weather stripping and window sweeps are in good condition. Trunk is very solid and clean. Interior The Black SS deluxe vinyl interior of this Nova is in fantastic original condition. The original seat covers are in superb condition and have no rips or tears or seam splits and have no major wear at all, outside of a small spot on drivers bolster area. The original carpet is in remarkable condition with no major stains, rips, or holes. The original dash is in excellent condition with no cracks or fading. The stereo has been upgraded to a modern CD/Mp3 Aiwa player with 4 newer speakers. It plays very well and sounds great and the presets work. The original door panels are in great condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The headliner is new and in great condition and the package tray is in great shape as well. All interior/exterior lights and gauges work as they should. The horn, stereo, wipers, blower motor, and turn signals also work. This car has not been smoked in; there is no smoke aroma what so ever. Mechanical This Nova SS is in great mechanical condition and the 454 engine is an excellent upgrade with gobs of power and torque. Its a tight fit but so worth it to have this massive engine under the hood with unlimited potential. It has been in the car for years but has less than 5000 miles on it per previous owner. We have driven this car numerous times around town and it always performs very well, does not run hot, rids tight, and is always a joy to drive. In the video one can observe this car running and driving with no excessive rattles or noises, and the car handles and performs well. This Nova is an exceptional driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. It starts right away every time, idles well, and runs great. The brakes work well and do not pull to one side or the other. True dual exhaust was added with upgraded headers and electric cut outs which dump out right after the headers for an unforgettable exhaust tone. By a single button in the dash you can determine how aggressive you want the exhaust to sound, its a true joy to drive into a show with them open and everyone looking at your Nova. Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. This is a factory AC car and we have the AC compressor and lines but 454 big block AC brackets are needed to reinstall compressor. For Auction is a 1969 SS 396 Nova .It was bought new from Thayer Chevrolet in Bowling Green Ohio .The Nova, an 11A build date, was ordered by a friend with an L78 375 hp engine , bench seat column shift automatic transmission . It logged a few street miles and then was built as a SS/EA NHRA class racer and sometime street racer. I've included a picture of it in race trim from back then. It was sold in late 1970 to make way for another race car . In 1995 the present owner found the car for sale and we realized it was the same car we raced as kids. The car was painted and a new vinyl top and front seat cover installed in 2001.It has some tears in the rear seat, headliner and carpets. It was stored again until this summer when we set a fresh 1972 402 Big Block engine , a 400 turbo trans, 10 bolt rear end and new exhaust to get it back on the street. The car has patches over minor rust on the floor and the left rear gas tank bracket is rusty. The body has some filler and has single stage paint. It is a fun driver as-is or would make a worthwhile restoration project. The car is being sold As-Is No Warranty and is for sale locally. One pretty SOLID hatchback Passenger door was replaced some time in its life and the rest of body seems to be original and is 90 percent in primer and ready for repaint. Car was original artic white and was painted blue when I got it .Very little rust work was done on this car and would be a great start for a complete restore or a driver. Motor and trans was replaced some time with a 305 that does have some smoke at startup and turbo 350 trans. Interior is all complete but seats and carpet show wear for its age. all chrome is there and is in pretty good shape and bumpers could be re-chrome. car isn't to bad on under side and shows some surface rust in normal area from sitting and doesn't seem to have any weak spots in floor or frame rails. core support is all intact no major rust and body bushings are in ok shape. car is really all original and complete and must have been grandmas sunday car. Also have a lot of pictures to show condition of can as it was being sanded and prime at your request Does have 70's style z28 rims and "could use some new rubber" and does have new 2 1/2 flow master dual exaust , shocks and battery. also have new quart of factory blue color interior paint from house of color for interior panels that will go with car does need valve cover gaskets, trans pan gasket, hatch seal, and window felts...Have new door seals and back windows was pulled and resealed Car is being sold as is no warranty and buyer is to handle shipping costs. this is a very rare concours nova. it has a 350 4bl duel exhaust 72000 mile car. has p/s pb a/c int. wipers fm radio rear window defroster p/w p/locks dash tach clock bucket seats center console and gauges.it has remote trunk opener. interior is almost perfect. car was very well maintened, I am 3rd owmer have paper work. I replaced : control arm sub frame bushings bolts shocks wheel cylinders master cylinder plugs wires vacume advance hoses belts radiator fuel tank window motor lock motor defroster switch clock starter . a/c is up dated to r134a works good. I rebuilt the trans u joints power steering pump.everything on car works good. I also replaced the light bezels ft and rear emblems with nos parts. under car is clean very little rust has original spare never used. runs and driver perfect. I am selling for kids collage money.
