1970 Chevelle SS454 cloneThe engine is a rebuilt 454 with small cam, Aluminum intake and edelbrok carb, ceramic coated headers with Flowmsters that stop at the rear axle. The transmission is turbo400 with small stall converter.The rear is stock open 10 bolt. The front end is tight and has power steering and manual drum brakes. The body has new quarter panels some patching on fenders and trunk pan was replaced with flat metal but a good job just not correct metal. There is one small rust spot under the drivers door in the corner its under the rubber seal in front corner cant see it unless you look under it.The floors also have some patching welded in them but they are solid. The paint is driver quality it's a 20 footer!! Not a show car it looks better in pictures then in person. The paint is 2 stag urethane with clear coat so it could be wet sanded for a slicker look. The interior has bucket seats with console it was originally a bench seat car so it still has hump in steering column. The shiftier was added and does not have the correct cable so you can't go into 1st gear just drive. There is no headliner in the car but I have a new in the box black headliner that goes with the car. The dash has a plastic cover over it that looks good. The car has new bumpers front and back with new SS rear pad. The door handles are also new. The gas tank was replaced and all shocks where replaced and brakes work good. The marker lights on front fenders where worked over and the center bar was cut out and a black strip was added for the correct look. The car is far from perfect but I'm not asking show car price. This is not a show car....it's a good running 70 chevelle for the money! If you have any questions please call me at 813-478-3449. Ron This is a factory super rare 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Super Sport 'SS' big block 454 factory air Convertible the "real deal" & needs to be completely restored /repaired. This SS show car was recently a victim of a tragic incident, an assumed electrical fire caused extensive damage to the interior including the dash destroying many of it parts. This vehicle is being sold as-is. I have no parts to include, unless otherwise stated, however I have located all parts needed if you need assistance in gathering them just let me know. A clean title will be provided without any branding. If I don't sell this SS, then I will keep it & give it another frame-off restoration. Exterior was Factory Mulsanne Blue with White Top, Stripes were probably black. Interior is Black with bucket seats. Actual mileage is unknown. Its needs include but are not limited to: paint, a windshield, all new wiring, convertible top, all new interior such as carpet, door panels, steering wheel, maybe a column, complete 100% dash kit which includes dash housing, pad, gauges & harness. Also note that one of the quarter glasses is slightly chipped. The fire did not spread into the trunk area however the firemen used the pick axe to open the trunk (wished they had asked for the keys :) so a trunk lid will be needed. They also used a pick axe on the hood so it is too damaged to use so I bought an used original GM hood with no rust to replace the old. Buyer can have the original cowl hood if wanted. There was minor fire damage under the hood, as a result the engine compartment will need full restoration, A front clip kit might save some shop hours since the heat cooked away the paint in the engine compartment & also on some of the fenders, but the engine can be started.
