I am the second owner of this car I have owned the car since 1984 I am selling to finish other projects, no trades only selling. The car is very solid and just needs a semi restoration. I tried to keep the car as original as I could even still has the original radio. The Chevelle has 88,000 original miles on body and interior is all original I replaced the headliner was going to change interior color to sandalwood because I wasn't to crazy about off white, the motor and trans. is not the original but the 400 smallblock and trans I took from a 1972 Caprice so the year engine is correct year, motor and trans. needs to be rebuilt rearend gasket changed. The car has flowmasters and galvanized exhaust, the car is factory air car just needs to be restored but everything is there. I changed some of the suspension like the rear upper and lower trailing arms to Hotchkins with 1 inch lowering springs all around. The car is in overall good shape has a couple of spots on body but not too bad may need a trunk pan or maybe can be patched. Asking $15,000 or best offer. Call (337)-298-6530

This is a 1970 SS clone. The body has less than 50K original miles. The new drivetrain has less than 2500. The motor is a 10.2:1, pump gas 496ci dynoed at Larry Meaux Racing. With a 950 Holley it made 632HP/597TQ. This is a no nonsense, meat and potoatoes big block build. The TH400 was built by Shexneyder Racing and includes a PTC 2800 10" with a reverse manual valvebody. 4.10 Richmond gears in the rearend. The car is driven on weekends and will cruise in stop and go traffic in Louisiana summers without overheating. The car has been to the track once. This 4000lb car and driver ran 11.20@122mph spinning the street tires on 89 octane, thru full 3" tailpipes. This combination will certainly dive in to the mid 10's with open exhaust and slicks. Even though its sports a .714 lift ,solid roller camshaft, it idles nicley at 850-900 rpms. It is very mild mannered until you open her up. This is not a show car or garage queen but I would still give it an 8 out of 10 in all categories. The car is very basic and old school. There is no power brakes, no power steering, no electric fans and no electric fuel pump. I built this to be simple and reliable..... a wolf in sheeps clothing. The car has MT radials but includes a set of Hoosier QTP on an extra set of rims in the sale. A 3 point aftermarket seatbelt system is installed also. This makes you feel more comfortable when your spinning the tires at 55mph. This is a turn key sale...not a half finished project. This car garners attention every where I go. The 3" Flowmasters complete the total package. There is no hiding the monster under the hood. This is not an auction or reserve. It has its listed price. I have over 50k invested. 12k in the motor alone. If you want an original, numbers matching, show car.... then this is not for you.
