1968 Chevrolet Chevelle 2-Door Coupe First, let me say why am I selling this car. I have always done restorations and most were for customers (Professional athletes, Executives, and Car Enthusiasts). My wife searched for an found this 68 Chevelle and wanted it done up as a Pro-Street car for her and I to take to car shows together. She picked the color and I did the rest. In the end, no detail was left undone and no expense spared. However, now that she is in her 5th year on Dialysis she can no longer do the car shows as she cannot be out in the summer heat all day long and she cannot help me with the car. Anyone who has done car shows knows that they are long, hot, and very hard days for that $12 trophy you get when it is all said and done. Because of this and the fact that this car has only seen the sunlight twice in 2 years (both shows we won Best of Show, Best Paint, Best Engine, and People's Choice), we needed to make a decision on what to do, sell it or let it sit more years in the garage? The time has come to sell the car and it is like a child to us, so this is not easy, but it is the right thing to do to put this car in the hands of someone who can really enjoy it. We would love nothing more that for the car to be out, be seen, and win more awards regardless of who now owns it. It will always be our pride and joy.Original factory production took place at the Atlanta Georgia General Motors Assembly Plant in November of 1967. The car was purchased in 2009 from the original owner and was found in a field sitting on blocks at the time of purchase (paid $600). Currently, the car has undergone a full, meticulous Pro-Street Restoration totaling more than $120,000+ with all receipts and very well documented photo album and timeline. This car comes with the following specifications: All New Body Panels and Glass, aside from part of the frame and the core body shell, everything is brand new on this car and no expense was spared. The only original part of the car that was used was the core body shell and the front 1/3 of the frame rails, everything else was replaced new or custom fabricated. The paint is 5 coats of Chrome Yellow w/White SS style striping and the strip lines cannot be felt. paint and body are absolutely perfect!! The chassis is semi-custom frame, meaning that the front 1/3 is a factory frame and the back 2/3 of the frame was fabricated. The front uses custom tubular A-Arms & Springs, fabricated sway bar, quick ratio power steering gear box, and factory style steering components. The rear suspension is a custom 4-Link suspension system with coil-over race shocks, a narrowed 35 spline 9" Ford rear housing, Mark Williams gear set w/4:88 ratio, Moser custom axles, and Positive Traction differential. Wheels are Weld Wheel Billet aluminum wheels with Goodyear tires. Engine is a Gen VI 10.2 Deck 582 Big Block Chevrolet (Modified 720R motor). This engine has been modified to accept boost levels up to 24+ PSI. Block is a GM Performance Race block & has Steel Billet splayed main caps, Callies Pro-Magnum Crankshaft, Oliver Steel Billet Rods, JE Gas Ported Nitrous Pistons, Tool Steel Rings & Wrist Pins, Callies Coated Bearings, Comp Cams custom grind Supercharger Mechanical Roller Camshaft, Reher-Morrisson Race Prepped Cylinder Heads w/Full CNC porting, Intake port matched & CNC machined, Pro-Fogger 300HP Direct Port Nitrous Oxide system, AED Tuned "flow-thru" Holley HP Race Series 1150 CFM carburetor, all MSD ignition controls, 2.25" Ceramic Coated & Fully Tuned exhaust headers. Full MSD ignition and ignition controller and adjustable boost controller. Far too many extras to list. The engine also has a set of "Fully Custom hand made" Vortech YSI-7 RACE trim superchargers capable of producing more than 24+ PSI per charger. I made two trips out to Vortech Engineering to get these superchargers made and designed to meet my needs. The drivers side charger is easy, but the passenger side charger had to have a custom oiling system and oil return created which was done in house by Vortech. These superchargers are oil pressure feed from the engine and then have filtered oil returns to the block (The setup, mounting plates, induction tubes, feed tubes, oiling system, drive system, and top hat are all custom handmade CNC pieces for this car). This setup is currently using twin Vortech Race Series blow-off valves & is producing 16 PSI boost @6250 RPM. The engine is controlled by MSD Ignition timing & boost controllers to ensure optimal timing vs. boost. The car has made 7 chassis dyno runs, producing 1320 RWHP on 16 PSI of boost & Zero Nitrous. The engine is capable of sustaining a higher amount of Boost to produce an estimated 1750 Crankshaft Horsepower. The driveline is a JW Transmission Billet Race Series Turbo 400, Manual Valve Body, Trans-Brake, & a 3700 RPM JW stall converter. The driveshaft is an all aluminum 5" custom shaft with 4340 billet yokes. The rear End is a 35 spline 9" Ford rear housing, Mark Williams gear set w/4:88 ratio, Moser custom axles, and Positive Traction differential. The fuel system uses twin Magna Flow Pro-Series fuel pumps, canister filters, Magna Flow regulators, 20 gallon billet aluminum foam filled fuel cell, & all air-craft quality AN Fittings from front to rear. The are twin Opitma batteries in the trunk with a custom Billet aluminum battery tray, the car has a master cut off switch inside the car, custom NOS bottle bracket and electric remote bottle opener. The Engine fuel system and the NOS fuel system are completely separate and run independent of each other with safety measure taken to prevent ANY problems with fuel and NOS delivery. The car has a custom 10-point chrome moly roll cage, Simpson 5-point cam-lock harnesses, Carrillo Seats, TCI shifter, & Custom hand built dash/gauge assembly with Auto-Meter Pro gauges. However, the car utilizes the factory dash pad, pillar posts, door panels, head liner, mirrors, & many other factory parts to keep the feel of the original 68 Chevelle and are all brand new. This car is only taken to "2" car shows per year and has won an average of 4 awards per show. The car is climate control garage kept, never been driven over 2 miles at one time (extended chassis dyno time not counted), has never been wet (not even washed.....ever!!) and is routinely started with a warm up period. Fuel and Engine Oil is maintained every 4-5 months to keep everything fresh. This car is a Pro Street car and could easily become a driver with the addition of an intercooler system to cool the superchargers and street approved tires. All lights and electrical work and with the right set of tires know one would know what was under the hood of this amazing car. The interior is all high end custom, the under carriage power coated or painted depending on the item, but is clean enough to eat off of. Again, too many things to list on this car. I will add more pictures, but wanted to get the post up and going today. The braking system is complete WilWood Brake, Drilled and Slotted Rotors, Powder Coated Calipers, AN Brake Lines, custom Spindles, Dual Diaphragm brake booster with $500 electric vacuum pump for brakes which is sensor controlled. Billet Aluminum master cylinder, Fesler Billet Hood Hinges, Custom 6 Layer fiberglass hood (had it custom made and paid dearly for it). All lines are AN Hose Fittings, Radiator is a $1600 Be Cool setup with twin fans and vent flaps, 2 core aluminum with 2 1/2 inch cores.I have had 8 magazine photo shoot offers and turned them all down. I wanted the car to have never been published in any magazine at the time I sold it and I will be happy to put you in contact with the editors whom have expressed interest in featuring this car in their magazines. Still forgetting a lot of things, but will continue to update this ad as I can. 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle SS I am listing this beautiful 1971 Chevelle SS for my neighbor. I can assure you that it would be very difficult to find a nicer example of an iconic 70’s muscle car. This Chevelle has one of the straightest bodies and slickest black paint jobs I’ve ever seen (and I’ve been working on and with cars for years)! There is absolutely no rust and no signs of rust or replacement panels anywhere on the car. Trunk, floors, quarters, and rockers are all solid. The car was completely restored top to bottom, front to back 5 years ago. The odometer was reset at the time of the restoration. Total mileage since then is 4,737. The car as we have been told and researched is a true factory SS car. Unfortunately the build sheet was not recovered. The car is Gloss Black with Red interior. Engine is a 350 ci V8 with TH350 automatic transmission. 10 bolt rear end. I am unsure of the ratio. Disc brakes in the front, drums in the rear. Engine is stock internally, but has an Edelbrock 4 barrel carb, ceramic coated long-tube headers, dual Flowmaster exhaust, and chrome valve covers/ air cleaner. This is also a factory A/C car! The A/C works beautifully and blows COLD air! Car is mechanically sound. Starts right up, all lights/signals work, drives straight, stops great! Even the clock in the dash works! The wheels on the car are Centerline Telstar Polished aluminum wheels with BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires. (Front: 245/60/15, Rear: 275/60/15) The car has a COMPLETELY new interior including factory bucket seats and console, carpet, headliner, door panels, package tray, dash pad, and more. There are only 2 know minor issues. The car has an aftermarket stereo with front Kenwood speakers. The radio is not working because the wire for the antenna (in the windshield) is broken and cannot be connected. We believe this happened during the restoration process. An external antenna would need to be added if radio is desired. The other issue is the tachometer sticks occasionally at start up, if you tap it with your finger is starts working. Car is sold with GA bill of sale. Title is not required in GA on vehicles this age. Please ask any questions you may have about the car. We will be happy to answer them. Car is also for sale locally and priced for quick sale based on condition. Thank you!

Pedigree? It's a real-deal SS with its numbers-matching LS5. Options? Loaded, including A/C and power windows. Restoration? Expertly done to a very high standard. You want the ultimate A-body? I think we just found it. Code 75 Cranberry Red is this car's original color, and if you were ordering the ultimate Chevelle in 1970, well, wouldn't that have been your choice? The car was beautifully restored not too long ago and we believe that the 2700 miles shown on the odometer are since the restoration was completed. Paint and bodywork are excellent, with a deep shine to the two-stage urethane paint and great fit to all the panels. Proper black SS stripes were added, since no Chevelle should go without, and there's a functional cowl-induction hood with locking pins for the performance look. The black vinyl top is a nice addition, working well with the black stripes to give the car a grown-up look, and it, too, is brand new. Shiny chrome bumpers, a lot of freshly polished stainless trim, and correct badges throughout make this Chevelle look right from any angle. Interestingly, this one originally came with a Saddle Tan interior, although during the restoration it was completely switched to basic black, which is always a great choice in a red Chevelle. As a color change, you know that everything inside is brand new, including the seat covers, carpets, headliner, and dash pad, and it all has a very crisp look. The console and gauge bezels might be original, so they show a little age, but things like the steering wheel and horseshoe shifter are in great shape. The gauges are bright and crisp, including the factory tachometer, and you'll note that this car includes such luxurious options as factory A/C, power windows and locks, and a tilt steering column. The floor mats are so new that they're still wrapped in plastic and the A/C is now powered by environmentally-friendly R134a refrigerant that makes it easy to service in the future. The trunk is detailed with the right spatter finish paint, along with what might be the original mat and a vintage bias-ply Goodyear spare tire with jack. Pop that cowl-induction hood and you'll find the original, numbers-matching LS5 454 cubic inch V8. With a hydraulic cam, the LS5 was a bit more street-friendly than the mighty LS6, but the torque curve was nice and fat and you could get goodies like A/C and power steering, making it a lot easier to drive every day. It's fully rebuilt to stock specs and runs beautifully, inhaling through a factory Rochester 4-barrel carburetor and exhaling through cast iron exhaust manifolds. Chrome valve covers were standard equipment on the performance-oriented big blocks and the stain black inner fenders make the Chevy Orange block really pop. The TH400 3-speed automatic was built for big block applications just like this and the 12-bolt rear end just shrugs off the torque. The chassis is neatly detailed with satin black floors, a stock-style dual exhaust system, and a new gas tank hanging out back, and it doesn't appear to have ever been rusty or wrecked. Correct SS wheels look great and are wrapped with 215/70/14 BFGoodrich T/A radials at all four corners. This is how you want to buy a Chevelle. It's beautifully done, yes, but it's also just right for driving to the local cruise night. And once you're there, everyone will admire the matching-numbers pedigree and long list of options. This is a great one. You won't be able to stay under the radar with that paint job, but getting attention is all a part of the fun of owning an old car, and this SS delivers in a big way. Yes, it's a real code 138 SS, so it's got a decent pedigree. Paint and bodywork are surprisingly good for a car in this price range and someone obviously spent plenty of money to get it into shape. To be honest, the early Chevelle is so good-looking that there's just no angle from which it doesn't look great; check out the sculpted quarter panels, the neat chrome strip that runs down the center of the hood, and the classic hardtop profile that was one of Bill Mitchell's best looks. There's plenty of metal flake in the paint, so this one sparkles in the sunlight, but it stands up to close scrutiny as well, with good gaps, great prep underneath, and a smooth, shiny surface that looks great. They didn't change any of the stock trim, and it's all in excellent shape, from the 283 emblems on the front fenders to the Super Sport badges on the quarters to the subtle badge on the trunk. Like I said, someone spent money all out of proportion to the car's value when they put this one together. The interior is a bit more conventional, offering black bucket seats and a classically simple layout. New black carpets, correct door panels, and a beautifully finished steering wheel give it a very OEM feel from behind the wheel, even with that color-matched center console to add contrast. The gauges are original and in excellent shape and yes, that's the original AM radio in the dash, which is supplemented by an FM converter hidden in the glove box. You'll also note a neatly installed aftermarket A/C system under the dash, a setup that's powered by modern equipment working behind the scenes to be quite effective. Correct SS emblems on the dash remind you from behind the wheel that this isn't a garden-variety Malibu and the back seat is full-sized, so don't be afraid to bring your friends. The trunk is well finished, too, with a correct mat, spatter paint, and a full-sized spare tire that's ready to go. That's a rebuilt 283 cubic inch V8 under the hood and it runs superbly. With a Chevrolet dress-up kit and a Holley carburetor, it looks as good as it runs and thanks to an HEI ignition system it lights up and idles nicely. Chevy Orange paint on the block is a traditional look that works well here, and you'll find a lot of new components, throughout, including the chrome alternator and fresh master cylinder and power brake booster. It's also got front disc brakes, power steering, and a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission, so it's very easy to drive and with highway gears out back, it's ready to be your daily driver. A recent Flowmaster dual exhaust system sounds great without being annoying and traditional Rally wheels and BFG rubber give it the ideal stance. This is a nice car, nothing more, nothing less. If you like the color, you're going to love the way it drives and you will be pleasantly surprised by just how well it works. With a built 396 under the hood and those big wheels, the pretext of this being a candidate for points judging is long gone, but if you're looking for the slickest, most beautifully crafted, and freshest A-body ragtop on the market, we're pretty sure this is it. The sizzling PPG Bolero Red paint is anything but subtle, and on this big, bad convertible it delivers big-time eyeball appeal. Of course, that's only possible with great bodywork, so every square inch of the sheetmetal was stripped, straightened, and smoothed before any of that gorgeous red paint was applied and the results were definitely worth the effort. The doors close easily and show good shut lines, the factory hood (with those trick inserts) fits flush, and you can see how crisp and clear the reflections are in the car's surfaces; you know that doesn't happen by accident. The great thing is, this car kept all its original trim, including the bright chrome bumpers and Super Sport logos on the quarters, so it has a very stock look. But as you've no doubt already surmised, nothing built in 1967 looked this good. Chevelle fans will also be delighted to see a somewhat unusual bright red interior, and not only that, but it's a bucket seat/4-speed setup! The seat covers, door panels, and carpets look recent, and there's a handsome bright red steering wheel that looks especially cool here. The original gauges were nothing exciting, so a tack was tucked into the corner where it doesn't block anyone's view and the clock on the center console is awfully cool. The real point, however, is that this car is exceptionally well-assembled and the interior fits like new. Settle in behind the wheel, slip the Hurst shifter into first gear, and ease the clutch out, and this car looks and feels like a million bucks. That's also true of the trunk, which is finished with black carpets and a substantial stereo system that includes amplifiers, a big subwoofers, and a CD changer. Up top there's a bright white convertible top that fits so snugly you can bounce quarters off its surface. Big blocks just slip right between the Chevelle's front fenders, so this one got a balanced and blueprinted 396 that's dressed a lot like the original might have been. A black air cleaner hides a Holley double-pumper atop an Edelbrock intake, but the Chevy Orange paint on the block sure looks like GM-issue. Just about every single working part of this car was replaced or rebuilt within the past year, including the engine, braking system, Muncie 4-speed transmission, and the 12-bolt Posi rear end with 3.42 gears inside. There's a brand-new Flowmaster exhaust system give it a wonderfully threatening rumble that sounds like the front straight at Daytona at full throttle and the entire suspension is upgraded with Hotchkis components so it handles better than anything this big has a right to. The floors are solid, the rockers are straight, and all the work has a very professional look to it, so there's no denying this car's quality. Four wheel disc brakes live behind those polished Boyd Coddington wheels and staggered 17-inch rubber. This is one of those cars that's probably even nicer in person than it looks in photos. Straight, beautifully built, and impressively fast, you couldn't build one this nice for less money. Given the predatory stance on this 1969 Chevelle SS396, there's no question the guys who built it did their homework. It is a real big block car, packing a date-code correct engine and a decent restoration with a few upgrades that make this one stand out from the pack. Originally code 52 Garnet Red, there was no need to change a good thing, so it was repainted a few years ago using bright red paint that makes a real statement. With white side stripes that emphasize the gentle arc of the Chevelle sheetmetal, not to mention the super-aggressive rake, this car looks the part of an apex predator. It almost seems like it's had its skin stretched tight over its chassis, and the fit of the panels and shiny paint make it look like someone cared. The work was done a few years ago, so there's evidence that it's been driven and used, but you can't complain about a bright red big block A-body. We're especially pleased that it's still wearing its original hood rather than an aftermarket cowl-induction piece, and it works well with the correct blacked-out SS grille up front, SS396 badges on the flanks, and brilliant chrome bumpers fore and aft. The black bucket seat interior has been restored using new seat covers, door panels, and a replacement headliner, not to mention all the other small detail pieces that are so tough to track down. The carpets were probably replaced at the same time and show some age, but certainly nothing requiring immediate attention. A correct SS dash with round gauges is augmented by auxiliary temperature, voltage, and oil pressure gauges mounted up high which makes them easy to see, plus a tachometer down low. The center console proudly wears a Hurst cue ball shifter for the Muncie 4-speed underneath, and the steering wheel is a handsome woodgrained unit that adds a touch of elegance inside. In the center of the dash, the original radio has been replaced with a later AM/FM unit, which powers speakers on the rear package shelf. The trunk is neatly finished with black carpets that aren't necessarily correct, but it does carry a full-sized spare and jack assembly, which is always important. Horsepower is compliments of a date-code correct 396 that has been properly dressed in bright Chevy Orange paint. Situated between the satin black fender wells, it looks great, especially with dress-up items like the finned valve covers, aluminum air cleaner, and polished intake manifold. Performance upgrades include the aforementioned Edelbrock intake manifold and Holley 4-barrel carburetor, long-tube headers, and a health camshaft inside. A Muncie M22 4-speed manages the gears, twisting a bulletproof 12-bolt out back with what feel like 3.73 gears inside. It runs extremely well today, with loads of big block torque available at any speed and in any gear, delivering the punch that you expect from a big Chevelle like this. Power disc brakes provide sure, confident stops, and the Flowmaster exhaust system dumps out through correct oval chrome tips right under the rear bumper. The suspension sits right and someone definitely did their homework when it came time to stuff the wheel wells, because this one wears great-looking SS wheels and 235/60/15 front and 255/60/15 rear Firestone radials. Modified just enough to generate serious attention, this big block Chevelle puts a unique twist on a timeless classic. Gorgeous blue paint, a handsome interior, and factory A/C, not to mention a solid foundation for performance, all make this a great car for having fun on weekends. GM's A-body aged quite well during the muscle car era, and even in 1971 it was still one of the top predators on the street. That means there's no need for subtlety, so you may as well paint it bright Marina Blue with white SS stripes like this one (a big improvement over the original Sandalwood). Fortunately, the work was done to a high standard and this was a straight car when the work started, so it was easy to get spectacular results. The gaps are decent, the stripes are laser straight, and the two-stage urethane paint is so bright that it can probably be seen from orbit. A cowl-induction hood adds an aggressive look and the SS gear in 1971 included a blacked-out grille and a few well-placed badges around the perimeter, just so folks knew what they were messing with. The work was done a few years ago and while it's not perfect, it is in the ideal condition for cruise nights and having fun with your car, which is entirely the point, right? Your buddies will love the twin tailpipes peeking out from under the bright chrome bumper and with the way this car looks, you won't get many challengers at red lights. Black buckets flanking a center console make this Chevelle a lot more desirable than most of its bench-seat-wearing siblings in 1971. The seat covers, door panels, and carpets are all in good shape showing only very light wear that's totally in line with the age of the restoration. You know we love the horseshoe shifter here at Streetside Classics and you'll be surprised by how naturally it falls to hand once you start driving the car. The only possible demerit inside are the factory gauges, which have slightly cloudy lenses, but the important stuff is monitored by a set of new auxiliary gauges hanging under the dash, including a tachometer. The factory A/C uses modern R134a refrigerant, so it's easy to service and doesn't cost a fortune and the original AM/FM radio is in the center of the dash. Pop the trunk and you'll find properly painted floors, a correct mat, and a full-sized spare tire, just in case. The rebuilt 350 cubic inch V8 under the hood cackles and snarls the way a true muscle car engine should. And while it was finished a few years ago, it's only been driven on weekends, so it's still fresh and runs superbly. An Edelbrock carburetor and intake manifold handle the air and fuel, hiding in plain sight under a matching open-element air cleaner with matching finned valve covers. Inside, it's pretty much rebuilt to stock specs, which is entirely a good thing, although long-tube headers and an X-pipe bolster its torque production and give it one heck of a soundtrack with Flowmaster mufflers out back. The TH350 3-speed automatic shifts smoothly when you're just taking it easy, but snaps to attention when you crack the throttle, and with a 12-bolt out back, worrying about breakage is a thing of the past. Classic Rally wheels glitter against the bright blue paint and wear staggered 235/70/15 front and 275/60/15 rear white-letter radials. High-profile cruisers need to deliver on their looks, and this Chevelle nails it.
