Up for sale is my 1969 Chevelle. I purchased this from a dealer that bought it from an estate sale. The original owner had left the car in storage for several years, and after the owner passed away,the family put the car up for sale. It has just over 43k ORIGINAL miles and it looks and rides like it is a new car. It is a complete numbers matching car (motor, transmission, rear end) with a 350 small block 300 hp engine, turbo 350 transmission and 12 bolt rear end. It is a non ac car with power drum brakes. When I purchased the car everything was still original including the belts and spark plugs. I have upgraded some of the factory parts but have kept everything that came off the car in case someone wanted to put it back 100% original. It has zero rust and has all of the original panels. All gaps are perfect and the doors and trunk shut like new. It retains all of the original glass and trim with the exception of the rear bumper. It also has duel exhaust with flowmaster mufflers and chrome SS tips. The car sounds awesome, floats down the road and doesn't squeek or rattle! Again, it rides like it did in 1969. 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle, 1 of 11,468 Post cars. I bought this car from an estate sale and it was with the same owner its entire life. This car has 30,000 original miles! I have all the original paperwork from the dealership when the car was purchased. The build sheet, Dealership purchase agreement and trade-in paperwork! The Protectoplate and lots of receipts from the drive train build. It was painted once 11 years ago but it doesn't show it. It is the original color. The body is laser straight. Their is no filler of any kind in the body anywhere. Bumpers are original too. The car was never in any accidents and all body panels are original. The interior is all original. I replaced the package tray because it was so faded and the weather stripping around the doors and truck. But other than that everything is original and untouched. The car shows a nice patina throughout the interior but no rips or tears of any kind. Nothing is broken or damaged. This car was very well taken care of throughout its life. The drive train was updated about 7 years ago and the car saw about 4000 miles since the update. the motor, trans and rear end were removed. The 400ci was bored .15 to a 406, Comp Cam, Hooker headers, Weiand intake and Holley carb was installed. The trans was rebuilt for performance. The car shifts very tight. She will bark every gear. The 10 bolt rearend got upgraded axles and all new 411 gears with Posi traction. A 3 core radiator was added with dual puller fans to keep everything nice and cool. There is not a drop of oil coming from this car anywhere. The wheels and tires are like new. 275/60/R15 tires on the back and 245/60/R15 on the front. Those are some wide tires for this car and give it a aggressive stance. Other than the meaty tires she is a sleeper. When those 4 Barrels kick you know it! a beautiful 1970 Chevelle--496 big block with aluminum heads, 10.5 to 1 pistons, comp cam comparable to ls6, ls6 low rise intake manifold with holley 750 double pump carb , electronic ignition-less than 1000 miles--runs great and sounds like music-headers with new dynomax ultraflow mufflers with correct cow bell chrome tips tail pipes-automatic transmission with a hughes 2000 stall converter that is just enough for cam idle quality but still very drivable on highway, 12 bolt positraction differential, -----this a factory ac car that I did install classic air compressor and condenser but I didn't want to go to complete kit so if in the future, it could be changed to all factory if so desired, and I do have a factory compressor and most of the brackets. I also installed a factory replacement evaporator coil just last week. so ac does work as it should. car has power steering and power brakes with tilt steering. New seat covers front and back with new seat foam. It has new carpet and when it was all out, I used sound deadening insulation under carpet, behind all door panels and behind the back seat between seat and trunk as well as under the package tray. the original dash carrier was pretty rough where someone had mounted a cb microphone and I couldn't stand seeing the holes so I replaced dash carrier with chrome rings around the gauges, I also at that time replaced cluster lens where the old was little scratched--I replaced dash pad with new clips, classic radio with blue tooth but I never really turn it on, id rather listen to the cam lop. 14 inch rims as well as the spare tire-glass is pretty good except I did Replace the left rear glass, the back window has some scratches and I planned to replace it but haven't yet. this car has been to 5 car shows and 2 of which were judging shows and out of 150 cars, i took home 1 of the top 40 trophies and out of 250 cars i was in the top 75. countless hours in block sanding before and after paint, buffed to mirror shine and if you know anything about owning a black car, you know it has to be straight. car was original paint code 48-green with black top--it had been painted black already before i got it so i stayed with black-trim code 756--i just received all the parts to make cowl hood flap functional, when i bought the car it had the dome hood and since i was repainting, i have always liked the function hood so it was good time to replace it.in my opinion-paint is a 9 out of 10. body is a also a 9 but if someone was to install vinyl top, it would be a 10 but i personally don't care for the vinyl top cars.the title shows 39000 and the odometer shows around 40500 let the pictures do the rest of the talking thank you for your time call or text john 8593966189 On Jul-29-15 at 22:41:43 PDT, seller added the following information: New shocks including rear air . This car is "cloned" to SS. Built this car about 15 years ago, have won awards at car shows, drove in town parades, and run on 1/8 mile drag strips. Lights, wipers, horn, gauges work besides speed-o "no cable hook-up on trans". Mostly new interior needs headliner. 90/10 front shocks, new bushings, ball joints, coil springs, wilwood disc brakes with 4 piston calipers and 7/16 long studs. 12 bolt gm rearend, pro series full spool, 4:88 gear, moser 30 spline axles with 5/8 long studs, drum brakes. Solid bushed control arms, air bags, u-joint girdles, drive shaft safety loop. 2 speed power glide, pro tree trans break, trans shield, 5500 stall, hurst quarter stick, command center shifter cover. 468 big block, 13.5 to 1 compression, 270/638 solid lift cam, oval port cast iron heads, roller rockers, stud girdles, aluminum intake, holley 1050 dominator, super comp headers with dyno race mufflers. 6al msd ignition with 2 step selectors, aluminum radiator and pro star racing wheels. The paint is a transparent blue with lots of pearl and ghost flames, its blue in the sunlight and looks purple in the shade. The car ran a consistent 7.12 with a 4.10 gear, haven't run it since. Last winter carport fell in and damaged the right side, needs fender, door mirror and body work done to roof other than that car is in good shape, and yes the bumpers are steal and the hood is gm not aftermarket. I do start the car and drive it down the road and back once in awhile, the rotors are warped, and the front brakes are sticking due to sitting.
