This car should be in a museum. Original California Black Plate Car with original Tag and Window Sticker. Original 1 owner 8548 Miles!!!Original owner was a Police officer and never drove the car because he had a squad car. He ordered the car brand new.He passed away at 93 and left this to his Nephew Rocky ( who played for the Rams in the NFL) Rocky now has the car garaged in Florida. Car was appraised at 30k and the appraiser notified the owner that if it wasn't repainted it would be worth more.It was painted the original color, the paint job was just under 10kOriginal motor was completely rebuilt to stock specs and is brand new.Original exhaust manifolds come with it, it does have headers. Every number was checked even the number on the ashtray this car is completely numbers matching and a time capsule.Beautiful Car and I drove it to fill up the gas tank and it is like driving a brand new car. Currently up for sale on eBay Motors is this very rare 1986 Pontiac Grand Prix featuring the factory optioned V97 option NASCAR "bubble back.” Richard Petty Enterprises built a prototype of such a vehicle in1983.It is one of only 1,200 units produced with that option. Power comes from a 5.0-liter V8 mated to a 200-4R Turbo-Hydramatic automatic transmission. Any NASCAR and Pontiac fan will likely find this to be a great find and, recognized as, a sound investment that will only increase in value over time. The exterior was painted black by the former owner. All 2+2s were “no-option” vehicles, with a list of standard features rivaling anything offered in 1986. With the low-resistance front fascia, a huge, heavily sloped rear window, and fiberglass decklid with integral spoiler part of Pontiac's wind-tunnel-bred 2+2 package for 1986. It is fact that no major body modifications are required to make this 30-year-old car stable at any speeds. This vehicle is up for sale because I have a 1969 AMC AMX and a 1955 Chrysler 300 in various stages of restoration. It is used as a daily driver with 95,000 miles and deserves a restoration. Installed New: shocks, ball joints, plugs, cap and wires, distributor pick-up coil, alternator, ignition switch, carburetor. Recently installed 4 new tires and factory rocker panels to pass inspection. The headliner and bucket seat covers need replacement. There is minor damage to left side fender. 1971 Pontiac Grand Prix model J. Equipped with 400 ci V8 motor backed by a Turbo 400 automatic transmission. Has MSD electronic ignition, headers, rally wheels. Odometer reads 35,534 but probably means 135,534. Engine, trans, and posi rear diff were rebuilt 8 years ago and then the previous owner parked it and hasn't been on the road since. I installed new fuel pump, battery, fresh gas, new plugs and it fired up. Drives down the block, trans shifts and brakes stop good. Should probably have the brakes freshened up before putting it on the road. Some rust around edges of hood, rear window, and other areas. Exhaust leak from header collector to tailpipe. Heater core has been bypassed, so I assume the it probably needs to be replaced. Interior needs cleaning but appears complete & original. Hood lock rod / latch will require repair as it is currently not operating and opening the hood takes a little finesse. Great winter project. Easy restoration for someone who can do a little body work and light mechanical work. Feel free to make your best offer- Must sell !!! It's not perfect by any means so expect it to have some flaws. It's 44 years old and has been used. It is recommend that you, someone you know, or an appraiser looks at the car to make sure this is the car you want. Sold as is. 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix this is a great all around vehicle. It gets over 20 MPG in the city and is running like a dream. The car itself has 200,000 miles but a new engine was put in with only 150,000. The heater works and everything is in great condition.
