1971 Pontiac Grand Prix model J. Equipped with 400 ci V8 motor backed by a Turbo 400 automatic transmission. Has MSD electronic ignition, headers, rally wheels. Odometer reads 35,534 but probably means 135,534. Engine, trans, and posi rear diff were rebuilt 8 years ago and then the previous owner parked it and hasn't been on the road since. I installed new fuel pump, battery, fresh gas, new plugs and it fired up. Drives down the block, trans shifts and brakes stop good. Should probably have the brakes freshened up before putting it on the road. Some rust around edges of hood, rear window, and other areas. Exhaust leak from header collector to tailpipe. Heater core has been bypassed, so I assume the it probably needs to be replaced. Interior needs cleaning but appears complete & original. Hood lock rod / latch will require repair as it is currently not operating and opening the hood takes a little finesse. Great winter project. Easy restoration for someone who can do a little body work and light mechanical work. Feel free to make your best offer- Must sell !!! It's not perfect by any means so expect it to have some flaws. It's 44 years old and has been used. It is recommend that you, someone you know, or an appraiser looks at the car to make sure this is the car you want. Sold as is. Up for your consideration is this 1978 Pontiac Grand Prix.It is the 3.8 L 6 cylinder base model.White paint with a maroon interior.One time enamel repaint in the original color.NO RUST EVER ANYWHERE,ANYWHERE.The front seat is torn in places and there is an aftermarket seat cover over the original vinyl.The rest of the interior is okay,dash has no cracks and all the gauges work.The air conditioning blows cold but the fan will not go in the high speed.New parts include.Tires,battery,rebuilt carb,brakes,springs and shocks,cat back exhaust,water oil and gas pump,plugs wires and belts.Original space saver spare/jack never removed.Runs and drives good.Brochures and some paperwork included as well as work/parts reciepts.Purchased from the original dear old lady I am the "A" title holder,my wife was using it as a daily up until around a year and a half ago.It has been seldom driven since,may require a tune-up or timing adjustment,but runs real good.I am relocating out of state,and shes not making the trip.Good car at a good price.I can email any additional pix and answer any intelligent questions,and NO I dont think you should drive it across the country or on a 5 or 6 day straight through trip ( the most popular car question ). Hello Folks!I am selling this Very Clean, Excellent Running, 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix. It comes all ready to go with no mechaniical or cosmetic issues (very very minor and scratches). Others around the area with comparable condition, year, and miles are going for $5600 or better. This one is selling for $3900obo. No reasonable offer refused, but no lowballers, please! What's wrong with it? Absolutely nothing except, the button to adjust the side mirror sticks, and the little thing on the vents the direction of air flow (like when you're trying to get the AC to hit your face instead of your shoulder, that little thing) needs to be fixed. That's all. This vehicle is in perfect running condition. There are no issues with anything mechanically, and I take HD pictures so you can see how it looks cosmetically. I'm asking for 3900k out the door. The price is always negotiable, but please don't waste my time.
