This 1962 classic is what they were referring to, with Bunkie Knudsen proclaiming "the new car presents an image of distinguished simplicity" and "Pontiac has added an extraordinary power team for exceptional road performance." This example was built on 11-17-61 and sold on 11-24-61. It is believed to be a 3-owner car, staying within the same family for nearly 40 years and accumulating 76,000 miles to date (documents included). The car was repainted its original Cameo Ivory and has a very nice finish. All chrome and moldings are in nice shape too. Not to be missed are the 8-lug wheels, including the spare with hold-down plate. The 389 cubic inch motor runs great and has nice power. Originally a 303hp single 4-barrel setup, it was recently converted to a Tri-Power arrangement with three 2-barrel carbs (the original intake and carb are included). This is always a favorite when you pop the hood (or the accelerator). The automatic transmission is the original 3-speed Roto Hydramatic unit. The power steering and power brakes are very effective, while the suspension is smooth and free of squeaks. The Grand Prix interior continues to separate this car from its Catalina and Bonneville brethren. This one is in excellent condition throughout. The bucket seats flank the center console with tachometer and storage bin, while the rear seat has a folding center armrest and speaker. Note the special Grand Prix steering wheel too. The gauges, lighting, wipers, and horn all work properly. So does the Wonderbar radio and factory air conditioning, converted to R134a. This is a great roadworthy car that was driven 150 miles to my dealership. It is a great combination of everything we like about cars. Here is a 1989 Pontiac Grand Prix that is a 3.1 Turbo. It is in GREAT running condition and has a remote start. I actually purchased this for my daughter who I just can not convince to drive it. I have put alot of work into this but I need a vehicle for her to drive so I am letting this one go. It has a new serpentine belt, new gas tank, new alternator, new catalytic converter, new power antenna, new rear struts and a fresh oil change. It has 89,950 miles on it and purs like a kitten. It has its share of bumps and scrapes but still the body is perfect. No rust at all but there are a couple of spots the clear coat is peeling as seen in the pictures. The A/C does not work and I never even looked at it, the turn signals do not work, I believe the cam in the column needs to be replaced, the check gauges, low coolant, brake, HUD and ABS lights are all on and I did some research on it and have been told that alot of times when an after market remote start system is put in that it will mess with the idiot lights. The check engine light is NOT on. The sunroof works but the previous owner had a leak and had it caulked to stop the leaks which it did.There are no problems at all with this car running wise. It leaks no fluids at all. I am also including the owners manual, the factory Grand Prix repair manual, the Turbo supplement, and the electrical supplement manuals.All of the other power accessories work perfect. I also have the tilt lever to replace, I was going to do that along with replacing the turn signal cam but since she won't drive it I am done working on this. There were only 2000 of these made in 1989 and of those 2000, 248 of them are red. These are a very difficult car to find in this condition. Feel free to contact me with any questions.

1980 Pontiac Grand Prix LJ. Sharp car! Originally had a 301 in it. Now has a Pontiac 350. Body and interior very nice.Has Edelbrock carb and intake. Headers with quiet 2.5 inch exhaust. Header gasket does leak. Needs a few minor things to finish it off.Aftermarket gauges in dash. Nice job and they look factory. Older paint still shines up! Vinyl top still nice. Some of the lower trim will need to be glued. Not all cracked up. I am not the original owner so I cant speak to the history. This is 35 years old and is in really nice shape for the age!! A/C is all there, but will need to be recharged. Interior and dash are in excellent condition. Tires are older, but decent. Rims clean up good and have some pitting. Look at he pictures.
