Currently up for sale on eBay Motors is this very rare 1986 Pontiac Grand Prix featuring the factory optioned V97 option NASCAR "bubble back.” Richard Petty Enterprises built a prototype of such a vehicle in1983.It is one of only 1,200 units produced with that option. Power comes from a 5.0-liter V8 mated to a 200-4R Turbo-Hydramatic automatic transmission. Any NASCAR and Pontiac fan will likely find this to be a great find and, recognized as, a sound investment that will only increase in value over time. The exterior was painted black by the former owner. All 2+2s were “no-option” vehicles, with a list of standard features rivaling anything offered in 1986. With the low-resistance front fascia, a huge, heavily sloped rear window, and fiberglass decklid with integral spoiler part of Pontiac's wind-tunnel-bred 2+2 package for 1986. It is fact that no major body modifications are required to make this 30-year-old car stable at any speeds. This vehicle is up for sale because I have a 1969 AMC AMX and a 1955 Chrysler 300 in various stages of restoration. It is used as a daily driver with 95,000 miles and deserves a restoration. Installed New: shocks, ball joints, plugs, cap and wires, distributor pick-up coil, alternator, ignition switch, carburetor. Recently installed 4 new tires and factory rocker panels to pass inspection. The headliner and bucket seat covers need replacement. There is minor damage to left side fender. 1965 Pontiac Grand Prix 1965 Pontiac Grand Prix, overall great condition, very straight lines Original body with no repairs. Car appears to have been painted years ago. No rust issues Car rides very good, turns and stops with ease .The radio and clock are the only thing that does not work at this time and is removed for repairs it is a am/fm push button. seat belts, padded dash, a/c. door edge guards, deluxe steering wheel, drivers side mirror,walnut veneer dash/console, power brakes, dual exhaust, power steering, spare tire cover, reel out trunk light, fender skirts, electric clock (not working) I have purchased the repairs kit. climate air A/C (not working) needs charged only its complete. deluxe wheel covers with spinners, back up lights, horn, console mounted vacuum gauge, original factory floor mats, vinyl interior. The interior is mint, the clear steering wheel is the nicest I have ever seen with no cracks or fading. Under the hood is the original 389 v8 engine. 1962 Pontiac Grand Prix 2 dr Hard Top Coupe 389 Restoration Project Car, car from California originally, now has clear PA title. This car is a great start for a restoration project. The Frame/ uni-body pieces are in great condition on the underside. Floor pans are solid as well, trunk pan needs replaced. Core support, cross members and rockers are all good as well. Door shells look good, hood and trunk good, Inside partially torn out, needs a new dash pad, needs all the upholstery redone,. the front edge of the plastic console is broken off. door panels need replaced or redone. the dashboard looks like wiring was left in tact but its hard to say if anything was removed until its put together again. headlights and buckets are missing. tires are no good. LH front grille insert has a dent on edge. headliner is gone, no key for trunk, LH fender has a dent on front top, missing LH rear 1/4 panel moulding and RH front fender trim, steering wheel needs replaced, no antenna, no bumper center fill or lights in front, motor is just the block and crank, nothing else with it. There is no transmission with the car. The block casting is 538181 and the arma crank casting is 531369. crank shows surface rust as does block. Has the 8 bolt wheels and has all 4 beauty rings and center caps..Car is what you see is what you get, was a manually equipped car as far as windows, locks etc.... the start of a great project.
