This is a 1972 Triumph Spitfire Mk IV in Pimento red. It has a 1300cc engine plus J-Type Overdrive. This car has been totally reliable in my ownership, starting easily and running well. The engine appears to be in good condition with no visible smoke on start-up. Like most classic Triumphs it drips a little oil. Originally a non-overdrive car, the overdrive transmission was fitted recently and operates correctly with the switch being on the gearstick. (Original transmission available) The braking system has recently been overhauled as has been much of the suspension. Braking is smooth and effective, as is the parking brake. The exhaust has been replaced recently. The bodywork is generally good, though there are a few minor dings and blemishes in the paintwork commensurate with its age. This aside the paintwork is good with little sign of "orange peel". It has a good shine. There is little evidence of rust; the driver's footwell flooring has been repaired but apart from this all bodywork appears sound. There is minor cracking in the area around the hood clamps and near the headlights, both common Spitfire features. I have recently coated the underbody with black rubberised paint to add to rust prevention. The chassis frame including outriggers looks sound with only minor surface rusting in places. The Minator wheels are in excellent condition and make an attractive period feature. The interior is in good condition. The whole carpet set is new, black with attractive red edging. Both door panels are new as is the dashtop cover. The car has its original high-back seats. Securon retractable seat belts have recently been fitted to improve safety, but this means the original seatbelt warning light does not function. The wiring however is still present if the new owner wished to replace the belts with original style items. There is no radio but a 12 V socket plus a USB socket are located in the radio space. The trunk has recently been lined with black vinyl and carpeting, making it neater and more attractive than the original. There is a spare wheel and cover. The soft top is showing its age in places but is basically sound. Some stitching along seams has been repaired and is not as tidy as the original. Most Spitfires however rarely need the top up! It has its own boot cover when the soft top is folded down. All in all, this is a good looking usable car that needs nothing major doing before being ready to enjoy. The mileage quoted is as shown, not guaranteed correct. I have described this to the best of my knowledge and understanding. The car comes with no warranty. Any car over 40 years old is likely to show its age in some way and this is no exception. It is not a concours car. Any potential purchaser is encouraged to view the car before purchase. It is available to view in Chester NY - Hudson Valley area near the 87 thruway, 84 Interstate and 17. About 50 miles north of NYC. More photos are available. $500 due immediately with balance within 7 days. Car will not be released until full payment received and confirmed.

1978 Triumph Spitfire, owned, babied and always kept garaged by two classic car collectors for the past 15 years. Not a show car but an excellent driver. I've taken it to several car shows over the years and it fits right in with the best of them. Always stored inside under a cover. Never driven in rain. 71,300 original miles4-speed, no overdriverare Brooklands green original Triumph colorfolder of parts and service receipts going back to the original ownerTriumph Spitfire shop manual and original owners manualzero oil leaks (yes, you read that right)Brakes, oil change, tune-up and transmission rear seal replaced this fallDual Monza Exhaustset of 5 Australian Superlite wheels with Potenza tiresnice tan houndstooth cloth interiororiginal carpet in good shape with Triumph rubber floor matsWood dash in excellent conditiontop is good with zip out rear windowall gauges work including speedo and odometeroriginal single SU carb converted to twin SU'ssmall chip and crack in windshield but replacement windshield is includedminor rust spots in dog legs repaired and painted. It has an am-fm cassette deck but trust me, you'll never listen to it with the way this car sounds. I have 12 collector cars and will be selling my two Triumph's this winter. The other is a beautiful 1980 TR7 convertible in the same Brooklands green color- feel free to contact me if interested. Only selling to clear garage space for some spring shopping. Also for sale locally. Sold "as-is" and no warrantees or guarantees are given or implied. I have done my best to describe the overall condition of this car as I know it. I'm not a mechanic and I don't work on my cars, so while I will be happy to try and answer any questions, I am limited in my mechanical knowledge- I always have my collector cars serviced by a local European car specialist. Personal inspections are encouraged. I am located in Earlysville, Va., only a few miles from the Charlottesville, Va. airport.

1969 Triumph Spitfire MkIIIConvertible We are selling off all of my husbands Triumphs here in the next few weeks - if this is not the one you want, stay tuned for his 66 Spit, 68 Spit or the 80 Spit. All coming out of the barn in the coming weeks - My loss, your project. The 1980 Spit is already listed under my husbands account 'morefromlovemytriumph'. Up for auction is a 1969 Triumph Spitfire MkIII. He's owned the car since 2000. He purchased the car in the Pittsburgh area and drove it home in its present condition. The car was driven right into the barn and has been there ever since. Will make someone a nice winter project. PA title is clear (odometer may not be accurate). Since I haven't pulled it out of the barn yet, I really can't tell you much about its present condtion. Sitting next to the 66 (green) Spit in the barn - more pictures and details will follow this week hopefully. You are always welcome to make arrangements and come and inspect it for yourself. Car spent sometime overseas in England and was shipped home by a US Air Force officer (see license plate and window sticker). Royal blue painted over original yellow is checkered and dull. Passenger door is locked and I couldn't open it to get anymore pictures. There is no warranty or guarantee implied here. The car is 46 years old and I am not a certified mechanic. Car is sold in the 'as is' condition. I would like the car picked up as soon as possible - My barn is coming down and no longer will have dry storage. Car will have to be paid in full at that time. I am asking for a deposit only to keep people honest. See my other auctions and feedback as morefromlovemytriumph. Check out my other items! Be sure to add me to your favorites list!

1980 Triumph Spitfire 1500Convertible Up for auction is a running 1980 Triumph Spitfire 1500. I've owned the car for several years now; since 2009. I purchased the car in the Pittsburgh area and drove it consistently for the next several years in good weather. The car has sat the past two years basically not driven but started and 'driveway' driven. This year, my intentions were to have my mechanic inspect the car and make it roadworthy. I purchased most of the necessary parts this spring from The Roadster Factory, but never had a chance to have the car looked at because of my work schedule. The new parts are included in the sale of the car*. Will make someone a nice winter project and be able to drive in the spring. Last fall, I replaced the (new) slave cylinder for the transmission. At the same time, I installed a used radiator to replace the leaking one; and also installed all new hoses, new overflow bottle and coolant. Car runs well and starts easily, can be driven onto transport. PA title is clear, mileage exempt (odometer may not be accurate). New parts include:New, gearbox transmission tunnel and mounting hardware.New, two (2) new oil filtersNew set of front disc brakes including pads and rotor, hardware.New set of rear brake pads, hardware.New (2) rear brake adjustersNew (2) rear wheel brake cylinders and hardware.New emergency brake cable You will need new tires and a battery to make it roadworthy. All lights and gauges work (except for the cd/radio - I forgot to hook it back up when I replaced the slave cylinder). Interior is worn but useable, seats have covers on them. Paint is in poor condition, but can wait. The red was put on top of BRG, top coat has worn off, not holding a shine. Surface rust, but holes or putty that I am aware of. P/O had stickers of the door panels (not appropriate - #53 Herbie) when removed it took some paint on the drivers side. The convertible top will need replaced, functional but not good. Has a hole in the top and a couple of holes at the plastic windows. Like I said, I was planning on driving it this summer with more restorations in the future, but now I need to sell the car. I am selling off all of my Triumphs here in the next few weeks - if this is not the one you want, stay tuned for my 66 Spit, 68 Spit or the 69 Spit. All coming out of the barn in the coming weeks - My loss, your project. There is no warranty or guarantee implied here. The car is 36 years old and I am not a certified mechanic. Car is sold in the 'as is' condition. Before you try to give me a low offer, please understand the new parts are valued alone at about $400.00. *If you don't want the parts, I am acceptable to a lower price. Make your offer, just be reasonable, maybe we can work something out. I would like the car picked up as soon as possible - My barn is coming down and no longer will have dry storage. Car will have to be paid in full at that time. I am asking for a deposit only to keep people honest. See my other auctions and feedback as Lovemytriumph. Check out my other items! 1975 Triumph Spitfire. This car had been sitting in storage for the past 17 years when I found it in April of this year. The odometer shows 49,684 miles. After purchasing I put on a new MSD ignition, new fuel pump, new slave cylinder, flushed the tank and added new tires. The car runs and drives good. It will be needing a new fan and possibly a new radiator. The body is solid and straight with only minimal surface rust. The paint has faded however. The interior is in great condition with no holes or tears in the seats. The gauges are original except for the temperature gauge. The top needs to either be repaired or replaced, It has no holes or tears but the side curtains are missing. This is not a perfect car but it is not far from being complete. I bought it to restore but no longer have the time. It is a very fun little car to drive. Also the title is lost. I am factoring into the price the fact that a new title will have to be ordered. The car is located in south Arkansas, Please feel free to email, call or text me with ay questions. Chris, 214-215-1367

Up for your bidding is '78 Triumph Spitfire SCCA F/Production Tribute car. I looked long and hard to find one that met my criteria, and you're looking at it. This three previous owner Spit has 37,000 ORIGINAL MILES and... are you ready? ABSOLUTELY NO RUST. ANYWHERE. A magnet was taken over every square inch of body and it revealed NO FILLER to be found. An inspection of the chassis showed NO CORROSION on the frame, floor pans, trunk, or suspension. Alll work performed by McB's Autosport, a Restoration/Racing shop in Bridgeville, Pa. They went through the entire car, and anything that was suspect due to wear or age was replaced. I literally DOUBLED my initial investment PLUS...everything had to be right from a safety/performance standpoint, and that resulted in a significant outlay of time and money. It was worth it. Now, you can buy a four or five thousand dollar Spitfire, but unless you're incredibly lucky you're going to invest thousands more to get it right. That's all been done for you which means BIG SAVINGS in the end... A full TriumphTune exhaust was added from England, Pertronix ignition (NO POINTS), Weber down draft carb, new plugs and wires, new Cooper Tires, new radiator, brakes, lines and many more odds and ends to make it as reliable and trouble-free as possible. This Spitter fires right up and settles into a nice idle. EVERYTHING (Lights, signals, switches, etc.) WORKS. It runs, stops and handles just like it was intended. I love to listen to it crackle and pop of the exhaust on decel in a down hill 3rd gear bend. Totally Intoxicating. Clutch is light and strong, gearbox tight with no strange noises or smells...The throttle has a heavy return spring on the Weber carb that is evident on initial tip-in...more of an observation than a complaint...you can easily swap in a lighter spring/throttle cable if you like. other than that, it meters fuel beautifully. The ORIGINAL INTERIOR is absolutely beautiful. The door cards, as well as the carpet and dash cover, are mint with no rips, tears, or stains. The only deviation from stock was the addition of a turned aluminum dash. The paint looks to be an older respray, but it shines up great with a minimum of minor scratches and a miniscule ding or two. All in all, a subjective 7 out of 10 and nothing major to detract from the visual esthetics. Which brings us to this...I could've popped for new paint (and it'd be worthy), but truthfully, I'd just be worried about that first scratch or dent and wouldn't enjoy this car's true purpose, which is strafing the back roads on a sunny day. I decided instead to turn it into an SCCA F/Production Tribute car. For those of you who don't know, the Triumph Spitfire RULED the F/P class from the late Sixties throughout the Seventies, a remarkably dominant stretch in SCCA racing history. We added period correct graphics, as well as a competition roll bar and fire extinguisher to complete the transformation. It must have struck a chord, because shortly after completion this Spitfire took THIRD IN CLASS at the prestigious 33rd Annual British Car Days at the Vintage Grand Prix in Pittsburgh. 15 beautiful Spitfires, and this one took home 3rd behind a full nut and bolt restoration and an original '77 with super-low miles. This car has MOJO, quite apparent wherever it lands. Remember though...this is no new Z-06..It's a 37 year old car, and the driving experience is a throw-back...and I mean that in good way...It also means there's no warranty expressed or implied. Buyer responsible for shipping, I require a $500.00 deposit within 24 hours of the auction's end. One bid can own this cool little piece of history. Good Luck! The top is black and in excellent condition, save for one minor 2" tear above the passenger window where the top folds. Car has minor scratches in paint, one small oil leak in the front of engine.

I have a VIN Correct 1965 Triumph Spitfire, it has been a race car since the early 70's and was last raced in 1976, since then it's undergone a total restoration. This is perfect for someone getting started in racing.I have had it for around 4 years. It has primarily been raced on the west coast. It does need someone to put it together which never scared me since most racers should build their own cars in my opinion. I want the car to go to a good home with an option for first buyback if they ever sell it.Have SCCA logbooks from all race history and parts purchased during that period. I recently acquired a TVR and made a deal with my wife to sell the Spitfire. So unfortunately I have to let it go, but all is not lost since I have my TVR.This car is basically ready to just be put together. I've gone through and put grade 8 bolts through all the suspension front/rear. My brother built a custom aluminum panel to go on the firewall for strength. I never got around to finishing the car since I had too many other projects going on. It has been in covered storage and my fathers garage since I've owned it.The roll-cage has been built from the ground up by the prior owner who did a beautiful job. It may not meet certain requirements for specific racing leagues, but for SCCA Autocross it should be 100% legit which was my original intention.Have a fresh 1147 CC engine balanced and ready to be put together with all new parts, the prior owner was a mechanical engineer who has built parts for Carroll shelby, when I asked him if i needed to measure anything or if i could just toss it together, and he said everything is matched and numbered, just needs to be bolted together.Balanced PistonsBalanced Connecting RodsNew PlugsNew Gasket KitRebuilt HeadBlock and Head have been coated for better oil flowKastner A8 KamRebuilt CarbsNew Valves / SpringsNew Oil PumpNew PushrodsHave aluminum and steel pushrods (boxes full)New Solid LiftersRepainted Valve CoverAdditional 1296CC engine (needs rebuild but complete and never taken apart)SCCA Log Book and Inspection book from the 70'sPerformance coated headers Aluminum Racing SeatRebuilt standard aluminum transmission 2 Additional transmissions Vintage Correct Magnesium Racing Wheels Kastner A6, A7, A8 cams As well as 8+ additional cams aside from the kastner ones2 additional sets of connecting rodsOil Sump system Fire System Rebuilt Girling Calipers by centric and new rotors Calipers have been modified to allow clearance for Vented Rotors with custom spacersThe spacers can be removed to allow for stock rotors to be fitted againRebuilt front suspension Aldan Eagle ShocksNewer paint (audi blue) Additional Stock Rotors and Calipers (originals need to be rebuilt)Additional Front-end suspension set (originals need to be rebuilt)New U-joints for the driveline and axle shaftsNew aluminum Radiator shroudNew Clutch/Brake master cylindersNew Steel brake lines throughoutRebuilt Rear Differential (already installed)Additional Rear DifferentialCustom built rollcageBags full ofValves, springs, misc engine/body parts6+ crates of extra partsI have not itemized all of the additional parts in the crates, most of it are extras collected over the years. What i listed are the best parts in the bunch that were intended to go back on the car. I even have bags full of Triumph Lettering, license plates and more. If there are specific questions please don't hesitate to ask. I do not have pictures of all the parts since most are in boxes stored away. But I can always get pictures of them and send additional pictures of anything requested.
