This car is a stunning example of Plymouth's first Super cars built for the street! This is a real L code all black GTX - not a clone! It also has the rare buddy seat/arm rest option! Originally equipped with a 440 which is long gone, it now sports a rebuilt date coded (10-10-66) 426 HEMI in excellent running condition. I just competed a power tour of 1400 miles, and she roared like a lion the entire trip. And like a lion, this car is hard to hold back! The engine has about 8000 miles on it since it was given a professional rebuild in 2002 and given a new crank and gone thru, top to bottom. Have all receipts since then, even though the fender tag went missing since its only repaint around that time. Paint job was very high quality and is still in amazing condition. This was a true L code, 440HP (375 horsepower), 4 speed manual, front disc brake and sway bar car, and still sports the factory radiator and 3.54 Dana! The original trans has been replaced with a Doug Nash 5 speed overdrive trans in excellent condition, and big tube headers have been added. Rear brakes and front end are in good condition and the front disc brakes, bearings and rear shocks have just been redone. (new battery too!) As an original 5 owner California Black plate car, there is not even surface rust underneath the car, and the body panels have always been in perfect rust free condition! To find a body in this condition on a 67 Mopar is usually only found on cars in private collections. I can only assume this car has been garage kept for its entire history?! The other super rare feature, is that this car seems to have come equipped with a HEMI skid plate K-member! This unit is also great to have to contain the power of this monster. This car is a beast! Tons of power, and a blast to drive with the scatter shield equipped 5 speed! The 3'' exhaust system with H pipe sounds great and is in excellent condition. The Hemi starts instantly and runs at a healthy 180 degrees with oil pressure of 80 pounds even in 100 degree California sun and in stop and go traffic! A really reliable, fun to drive bruiser, and day or night cruiser...

1967 Plymouth GTX hardtop, matching numbers, 440 CID V8 Super Commando, 375 HP, 4-barrel, 3 Speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission. All original but one repaint, with RR1 Yellow paint that matches the build sheet. Build sheet and fender tag are clean and legible. This GTX is very original, close to survivor, except paint update. This vehicle is in exceptional condition considering it's originality. Automatic, 440 Engine is well preserved and runs great. Based on the shape of the car, I believe the 87K miles is original, but cannot confirm after 48 years. Two owner garaged all it's life. This gentleman's muscle car is the first year the GTX came off the assembly line and is very collectible. It runs great, and easily chirps the tires shifting to 2nd gear. 67 Plymouth GTX owned by the same family for the last 37 years completely rust free with 60k orig. miles , 440 super commando , 727 torque flight , sure grip (posi) 323 rear end , fresh respray over orig paint in factory orig. color , orig. am radio still works , still has orig. interior comes with new carpet but we did not install we like the orig. , all numbers match right down to carb. have original broadcast sheet , just went through the whole car and replaced whatever it needed tires , brakes , battery and much more , this is the nicest one you will find , has been featured in hot rod magazine and autographed by Robby Gordon . 1968 GTX, WILL NEED RESTORATION. 1977 440 rebuilt engine with 4000 miles since complete rebuild, 727 trans , stock rear gears, 8-3/4 rear. New windshield, BF Goodrich T/A radials, Cragars, Pioneer supertuner, runs great, never gets hot, stock 440 for a smooth ride, New shocks, gas tank, many, many parts are new as I drive this car 3-4 times a week. Gonna need floor pans, paint & body work to make it right, the paint on it is 5 years old, and bad bodywork is starting to show here and there. Interior was replaced in 2010 looks good new legendary seat covers, headliner, arm rests, dash cover etc. Needs carpet. Headliner is sagging in rear. Right turn signal does not work. 1971 Plymouth GTX in good condition, Could use some minor bodywork & paint in a few areas, nothing major. Valencia Orange (Ford Mustang color) very bright & eye catching. 1977 440 engine removed from van with only 22,000 miles. Stock engine, 727 Torqueflight Auto transmission, rebuilt less than 1000 miles ago. Posi rear with tall gears (4:10 maybe) works well with the car, I do have 3:55 's new in box that I was going to put in this car, but changed my mind as it feels good as is. If buyer wants gears I will throw them in the deal. Interior is nice, Was replaced in 2010 with Legendary covers. All gauges work except speedometer (Needs new cable). All lights, turn signals, etc work like supposed to. Classic Cragars, BF Goodrich T/A tires in very good condition. Original bumpers in very good condition, (No dents or dings in 44 years... amazing). Original jack in trunk. Front end rebuilt 4 months ago, have receipts (In excess of $2,500.00). New steering gear installed & brake hoses replaced also. New Windshield replaced 2 months ago. Clear Florida title in hand. This car is Registered, Insured and driven 3-4 times a week. For sale is my all original never restored beautiful 1968 Plymouth GTX. This car only has 75,371 all original miles!!! Car is beautiful both inside and out it has a 440 super commando motor connected to a automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes. It has a black vinyl top with a dark green exterior, and black leather interior. This car also has power assisted brakes and power steering which was options for that year! The car is mechanically perfect and cosmetically perfect for an all original never restored car. The car looks exactly how it would look per build sheet with the exception of newer rims, tires, valve covers and headers. 1969 Plymouth GTX Triple Black Matching Engine and Transmission. Automatic column shift AC car. Super Commando 375 hp 440 cu. Vin RS23L9G6247850This car was originally Triple Black from the Factory as the fender tag reveals.The Paint is about 3 years old and in great condition. Garage Kept since painted. The Engine and Trans were rebuilt at the same time. The Engine has a slightly larger than stock cam but is Stock otherwise. I put a Edelbrock 600 cfm carb on but i still have the original Carb which will go with the car.The Transmission has a shift kit in it and runs perfectly. This Car will peel the tires of the wheels if you want it to. Most everything on the car is either new or in really great original condition. Underneath, new or rebuilt items include. Front end rebuilt and powder coated, new upper control arms with new bushings powder coated.New Exhaust system with correct exhaust tips ( done in June 2014)Rebuilt original 8.75 3.23 sure grip limited slip differential.New Stock Leaf springsNew Gas tank and sending until Front Disc Brakes have been rebuilt with new brake lines.
