It is a real numbers matching EF8 Ivy green on green “J” code car. It was produce on April 13, 1970. 1 of 2724 produced during February – April 1970. Only 37,892 original miles on this very nice car. Even though it was a low mileage car, I had the engine rebuilt by a professional race car engine rebuilder. It was balanced and blueprinted with TRW forged pistons and dynode at 360.2 HP at the fly wheel. Has both fender tags, Fast Ratio P.S., power disc brakes on front, 11” drum brakes on rear. A727 - 3 speed auto transmission with slap stick shifter.. I had it gone through and a shift kit installed. 8.75 sure grip rear end with 3:55 gears. Heavy duty suspension with front and rear sway bars , Rallye gauges with 150 MPH speedometer. 8K tachometer. Rallye wheels, E60 front and G60 rear Goodyear Polyglass tires, side pipes. Space Saver spare with bottle. Body is straight as an arrow and no rust. Has been always kept in my climate controlled garage. It is registered with the AAR Cuda Registry. I believe that this car is priced right because it does need some little things done to it that I cannot do anymore. The 6 BBL carburetors are not the originals but are Holly’s; the paint on the motor needs to be freshened, does not have the build sheet, and one of the side pipes needs replaced (which I have). I changed the torque converter to a 3000 stall but I still have the original 2400 stall converter. The dash has a single crack near the radio speaker and the clock does not work. The interior is in good condition but door panels could be re-dyed. The Rallye wheels center cap is a 1971 color. I have many parts or accessories that will come with this car. Ie, books, advertisments, window sticker, over 20 trophies, etc. With just a little attention to detail, this car could easily be worth a lot more. I am only selling it because I can not take care of it any more and want to pass it along to someone who will take care of it and enjoy it just like I have. FYI – The pictures are old but the car looks the same as it has not been driven but 32 miles since they were taken. The current odometer reading is 37,892. I have the car on a 2 post lift and start it every so often and run it through the gears.

The definition of a pro touring build is to take a classic beauty like this ’70 Plymouth Cuda and fill it with modern internals and a high horsepower engine. It's been done over and over to the point where it’s really no big deal anymore. However, every now and then there comes a build that really pops out on the car show circuit. Here is an example of what I'm talking about. With a 6.1 liter Hemi engine, a bullet proof Tremec 5-speed transmission, modern fully independent suspension and luxurious ostrich skin leather interior, this Cuda is the envy of any speed demon looking to capture the heartbeat of America. The Cuda’s body was shot in the original car’s Lime Light green FJ5 color according to the fender tag. Classic hockey stick stripes on the sides were added and painted black with a subtle hue of silver flames noticeable only upon close inspection. At the front is a color-keyed Elastomeric front bumper and painted stock grille with nothing more than a purple accent pinstripe. As for the laser straight body itself, it was restored to better than new condition with excellent panel gaps all around. The original dual-scooped hood is made of steel and features functional vents to direct fresh cool air into the engine bay. At the tail end of this fish are removable factory window slats and bright rear LED tail lights situated below a remote electric locking trunk lid. A body color rear bumper with polished TTI exhaust tips exiting thru the rear valance creates a one off look that is sure to garner plenty of attention. This ’70 Cuda features a newer late model 6.1 liter SRT8 Hemi motor built by the pros at Indy Cylinder Head. They started by boring and stroking the block to 426 cubic inches, and then topping it with a set of CNC ported and polished cylinder heads. They also went the extra mile and painted the entire block Hemi Orange to make it look a little bit like an original piece. Spent gasses travel down polished ceramic coated TTI headers through a 3" custom stainless X pipes dual exhaust system built to show standards by Rocky Mountain Street Rods utilizing Magnaflow mufflers which ventilate though the stock rear valance. The sound is pure evil and menacing! But the real story here is that gorgeous fuel injected induction system featuring an octet of Hilborn-style velocity stacks made by Borla that look vintage but actually use modern EFI for the ultimate blend of reliability and power. Bob Ream, of Imagine Injection, handled the wiring and programming of the FAST computer system and the result is an engine dyno rated 450 horsepower and 475 pounds of torque that you’ll never think twice about when you turn the key because it ALWAYS fires up instantly and idles smoothly. A massive AM Aluminum radiator with dual electric fans keeps everything cool. Directly in front is a polished Synister Products serpentine belt drive system that spins a highly efficient Sanden A/C compressor, Type II power steering pump, and a high output 160 amp alternator to power that Pioneer CD stereo system. It runs and drives like a brand new car off the showroom floor, with instant starting and no flat spots on the power curve. It runs well enough to keep up with the modern muscle cars of today and looks good enough to pick up trophies every time you open the hood (which it has already done repeatedly). Elevate this Cuda on a rack and you’ll see the matching Lime Light green painted undercarriage housing all chrome plated components that were highly detailed for show and a testament to just how expensive this build really was. The suspension up front is a RMS AlterKtion IFS sub frame with tubular upper and lower control arms connected to a quick ratio AGR power rack and pinion turning polished American Racing Torque Thrust II wheels shod with sticky 245/45/17 Nitto NT555 tires. At the rear of the undercarriage you’ll find a trick Heidt’s Superide IRS independent rear suspension connected to a Ford 9-inch custom polished rear end with Positraction spinning ultra wide 295/45/18 tires. Front anti-sway bars and Aldan adjustable gas charged coil-over shocks mounted on all four corners provide over 1.0 lateral G that you've come to expect of an exotic sports car. The mega torque created from the 426 stroker motor is sent through a slick pistol grip shifter controlling the Tremec TKO 5-speed transmission and actuated by a smooth hydraulic McLeod Racing RST twin disc clutch. All this momentum can be stopped on a dime with slotted power disc brakes by Wilwood utilizing their Superlite 6 piston calipers up front and inboard 4 piston calipers out back hooked up to chrome plated axles for maximum eye appeal. Beneath is a brake proportioning valve in case you want to get dialed in at the track. Open the driver’s side door to reveal a set of factory high back bucket seats wrapped in soft leather with ostrich skin inserts. In the front of the driver is a Flaming River WaterFall sport steering wheel mounted on a polished Flaming River tilt steering column. A custom fabricated aluminum dash panel houses Autometer Pro Comp Ultra-Lite gauges with AC and climate control by Classic Auto Air. Power windows, controlled with billet switches on sides of the leather wrapped door panels, are an option if you prefer to let the fresh air rush into the cabin while cruising on the boulevard. There’s a ton of information on this car, ranging from all the manuals for the high performance parts to an article on the finished product in Mopar Enthusiast magazine. It’s also a multiple show winner, having received the 2010 Show class Winner at Mopars at Thunder Mountain, Bandimere Speedway, and both the Platinum Award and Outstanding Custom Engine Award at the Rocky Mountain Rod and Custom Show. History: I have a 1974 Barracuda that I have owned for 6 years . The previous owner completed the restoration. Exterior: Car was painted with Sikkens Base/Clear in Curious yellow with 1971 style billboard stripe. Although an older restoration the car is in very good shape,straight with no dents .Bumpers are 70 style and in excellent shape. Minor paint chips typical of a street driven vehicle. Restoration was done very well and only thing that I changed was side glass was scratched , so both sides were replaced . Drivetrain /suspension: The engine is a mopar 360 crate engine. I removed it just to paint and detail it. Engine has numerous billet and chrome pieces. TTI headers that were ceramic coated along with several engine pieces. Car is taken to car shows and has won many times including best of show awards. Suspension has been fully rebuilt and includes tubular upper and has a Firm feel level 3 power steering box. Out back it has the 8 3/4 rear. Interior: Interior has been redone with yellow inserts ,new carpet ,custom floor mats ,billet flaming river steering wheel. Factory Rallye dash. 1972 Plymouth Cuda - Barracuda, 4 Speed, AC Beautiful and a blast to drive Barracuda all dressed up and correctly badged to replicate a 'Cuda. I have spent a significant amount of time and money bringing the car up from being a street racer into a dependable, civilized and pleasant to drive cruiser that turns heads and stands out at any car event. The car features 4 speed manual trans and factory AC (not hooked up). The car is absolutely rust free, the exterior is in excellent condition, really nice paint, no dints, dings or scratches. The seats are also in great shape, no rips, tears, or fraying. The headliner is a bit wavy and could probably use replacing, just one of those things that took a back seats to the mechanical issues that was a higher priority.
