ALL ORIGINAL, not messed with.This is a 4 speed on the floor manual transmission all original Arizona/California Mercedes 220D BOX A Arizona title (original mileage) with 94,259 miles on the working odometer.Never painted. Original paint. Not faded.It includes a Mercedes dealer receipt and warranty for a replacement diesel engine in 1998 when the car had 44,707 miles on it.It runs and drives perfectly, no drips, no leaks. You could keep it just as is.Or, you could replace the carpets and headliner and drive it with pride as a daily driver. Or, you could also re cover the seats which have one or two small blemishes, mostly on the top of the back seat under the rear window. Original radio included. Does not appear to work. It had an aftermarket radio in it which I removed. Original Becker will be in the trunk.Everything else works, horn, lights, signals, blower.Needs:Both interior lights cracked, not working.There is a pin sized hole in the hood over the positive post of the battery. I assume someone tried to jump it and the hood fell down and arced.Front windshield has a crack in it.The drain connection in the passenger side front footwell has some rust. See pictures.There is no other rust in this car.One hub cap is the wrong color.AC works, blows cool. Just needs juice. This car was thoroughly safety checked and all flex brake lines were replaced, brake lines flushed, all fluids changed, motor mounts replaced, good tires put on it.You could drive it home if you wanted to.

1982. Reagan is in his second year as president. America's economy is booming after the stagnant economy of president Carter. People are finally spending money with confidence and the boom of affluent suburbia is in full swing. There is no bigger automotive icon of this period than the Mercedes Benz. Anybody that was upper middleclass was driving them, including the original owner of this low mile, well kept 240D. It was purchased new by a lady that owned a boutique dress shoppe in my hometown of Jackson, TN. This car adheres to the old cliché "driven by a little old lady to the grocery store and to church on Sunday". She owned the car until her death and then her granddaughter traded it in 2013. The second owner bought it in late 2013 and said it had 59,000 miles on the odometer at that time. Due to not having the knowledge of the workings of the classic Mercedes Diesel, they were ready to depart from it and that's how I've obtained it. I was a Mercedes mechanic and got my start working in the late 80's on these exact cars! It was like traveling in a time machine to when Mercedes built a tough reliable car that would withstand Armageddon! No fancy electrical gadgets to go bad, no add-ons or filler, just great German engineering and a fine automobile! This is an all mechanical diesel engine that doesn't have a computer on it. It would start and run even in the event of an EMP! This car has spent it's whole life in West Tennessee. It was tenderly driven and cared for- this shows in the great condition it's in. This car is in immaculate shape for it's age. It was well kept and maintained or repaired when necessary. It does have a few flaws, but remember this car is in original shape....not mint, but about as good as it gets for a car of this age. I will go over the flaws first: the interior vinyl around the door frames has shrunk and the lightly faded cloth is coming loose around the front kick panels. The dash pad is cracked in the usual places on these cars. The weather-stripping has some signs of aging, but is still doing its job well. The rest of the interior is as close to flawless as you will see in a 34 year-old car. The cruise control doesn't work. The power antenna doesn't work. The rear bumper ends show signs that it has been gently bumped. The service booklet is incomplete- the last time it was stamped was in 1993 at 22,400 miles. The pin striping on the front fenders has some areas that have worn off (probably by someone not using fender covers). The front passenger door has a few small dings. Otherwise the body is in excellent shape with what appears to be the original paint, plus it has a good shine and no rust! Headlight bezels have some fine cracks from aging/sun exposure, but nothing all the way through that would let water in. The original driver's floor mat is missing. Now on to the good. NO RUST! NO SIGN OF ANY COLLISION OR PAINT WORK! Even though the engine does have the typical oil seepages, there are no drips or puddles under it. The car recently had the injectors rebuilt and the fuel system purged along with new filters and valve adjustment. All fluids have been changed. I fixed all the vacuum problems that are inherent with these cars. The transmission shifts and door locks operate like they should. I replaced the following items: new front brake pads, calipers, rotors, and wheel bearings packed. New power brake booster. New voltage regulator. New motor mounts. New heater control valve. Completely detailed inside and out. And best of all, a new set of Michelin Defender tires! This car also still has the original 1982 first aid kit that has never been used. It still has the original spare tire which doesn't appear to have even been used. Everything that this car needs to be driven has been done. The previous owner installed a JVC stereo with hands free Bluetooth. I do have the original Becker AM/FM radio, and they said it still operates but I can't confirm it does. Buyer will be responsible for shipping. Car will not be released until funds clear. I prefer cash on pickup but will consider other forms of payment as long as I can confirm who you are and that you have the funds to complete the purchase. This car has a clear Tennessee title that I have on hand. Please make sure you have your finances in line before you buy. I recommend you come inspect before you buy so you can see with your own eyes the truly remarkable condition of this car. There will be no warrantees or buyer's remorse, it is what it is. I have a lift available, so you can do a full inspection on site as I will not let it leave my shop until the transaction is complete. There will be a Nonrefundable deposit of $500 within 24 hours and the balance paid in full within 7 days unless we make other arrangements in advance. I am selling this Mercedes for my Grandfather, He has a collection of cars that he can no longer keep up with so unfortunately it is time for him to part with a few. His Mercedes has always been well cared for and stored indoors for most of the time he has owned it. For a short time a few years ago he sold it to a friend of his and then purchased it back. upon receiving the Mercedes back my Grandfather put new door seals and window seals throughout most of the car. When he purchased this car some time ago he also purchased the set of factory Mercedes wheels that are on it now and did away with the hub caps. This car fires right up every time with no problems and will take you anywhere you need to go without any issues. '68 Mercedes 200D W110 1968 Mercedes Benz W110 200 DIESEL VIN # 110.110-10-369093 Color Code 670H (Light Ivory) Ivory exterior, White interior, 4 speed transmission, No a/c. Engine runs good but we recommend a good servicing/tune up since it has been stored indoors for the past 7 years. What we have done: We flushed the fuel tank, Changed the fuel filters & Cleaned the fuel tank strainer, Changed the oil & filter and she started up as if she was shut down last night. Car runs for 40 minutes and then mysteriously shuts down. We've flushed the fuel tank a couple of times to chase this down but haven't solved this issue. Yes, it will start again and run. This is a very nice example of a 1968 200 D but it does need work on the floors and the rocker panels. (Please study pictures) Cosmetically it's very attractive. Light patina on the rear parcel shelf and upper rear seats. A common sun damaged area on most old Benzes of this vintage. This car has spent time in South Africa and then it migrated to Florida and finally spent a little time in New York State just before being stored. Owner’s manual and even the original data tag is still on board. Become the new custodian of this fabulous Benz and add to its history. Sold AS IS Shipping or Exporting? No Problem. Up for sale is a very nice 1982 240D Mercedes. If you're looking for a 1000 point show winner that can hold its own at the Mercedes museum, please keep looking, this ain't that car. This is a driver that is in good shape but showing its age in places. If you're looking for a solid diesel to convert to a veggie, or looking for a solid base for a restoration, or if you're looking for a top-self donor for another restoration, then this might be your car. It starts, runs, and drives well. At 67 factory horsepower, it will get you where you need to go, as long as you're not in a hurry. I received this car from my father-in-law who was the second owner. He bought it from his sister who bought it new. It's lived its life in Louisiana, so no major rust or other weather issues. Never wrecked, never flooded. The engine is the million-mile four banger and runs well. The automatic tranny shifts smooth and pulls well. The brakes are strong as far as I can tell. I've traced the engine vacuum system and it turns off with the key. The door lock system has a major leak somewhere so the next owner will have the joy of hunting down that issue. There are some minor dents, dings and scrapes but the body panels are straight and the paint is in surprisingly good shape with just small chips and scratches here and there. The heater works with no leaks. The car has a host of other small things that will keep a tinkerer busy for some time. This must have been a base model because it has manual windows and no sunroof. It does have cruise-control but I don't know if it's working.

Issues: AC not working, minor interior cosmetic damage, some rust spots on metal in areas, fuel gauge not working correctly, front driver side headlight not working, has some decent wear from m age, but definitely not done yet as these cars are known to last forever! Pros: Running, Working Sunroof, Has original Hubcaps, Work Done: all fuel lines replaced (12-20-11), all 4 tires w/ 65,000 mile warranty (11-13-11)(328,029), has new Bosch Alternator (Installed 2011), Fuel filters replaced (12-20-11), Valve adjustment (12-20-11) Upgraded to "Series" glow plugs (12-1-11) , Has minor kit for running veggie oil (WVO) (I don't run WVO on it right now, just Diesel), Aftermarket CD player Check out this video I recently made about the car!!
