I have a 1983 Mercedes 240D that is a 3rd vehicle, I'm moving and need to sell it to make some room. It runs great, This was my daily driver to and from work in (about 60 miles round trip) every day. It has new brakes on the front and a very clean interior. There are a few blemishes in the paint and a few dings along the passenger side but overall for a 30+ year old car it is in great condition. If you need any more pictures on a specific part of the vehicle message me and I will be happy to email you some more.

Elegantly durable describes this car. I have owned it since 1992, and used it regularly for family transport. 4 doors are extremely helpful with kids car seats. After moving from WA to NV in 1994, it was used daily to commute an average of 80 miles. At about 36,600 miles, the entire engine, exhaust and electrical systems were checked and repaired. It hasn't been in any accidents that I know about. No dings or dents. Single overhead camshafts, two valves per cylinder, 230 hp. Bosch electronic fuel injection. (112.2 inch wheel base) It got new paint in 1999. The car ran great for the move from NV to OK in 2002, and was used regularly until a family illness hit, around 2009. Although its been "black tagged", we still ran it regularly. I replaced the fuel pump and water pump in 2013 and it has a newer battery (2014). Current mileage: 91.000. Good tires. Front bucket seats and back bench seat are in great shape. The car has a huge trunk, with the original tool kit and roadside repair sign kit. Also, its original radio. Its interior has a wooden dashboard and a big, hefty steering wheel. The wooden trim around one back door has delaminated. The V-8 drove like a dream and handled so smoothly, you hardly thought you were traveling that fast. Built to last and look good, too. I was told this was the last year Mercedes hand built their cars. It needs TLC, and isn't running cause it hasn't been used for awhile. There are some minor rust spots. It will need transport and a new family to love it. Car is sold as is. Please call if you have any questions before bidding (918) 457-9336. Interested Bidders with no feedback should call.

Here is a great project car for someone who needs a good solid driver that gets over 30 mpg on diesel. These cars cost a bit over $25,000 when they were new, which in today's dollars, is almost $60,000! There is quite a following for these particular cars, they are fairly bullet-proof, just run and run, you can see on the Mercedes forums that lots of folks have over a half a million miles on these AND MORE. I am selling this car for a good friend of mine, "GN", who bought it from his brother about 6 years ago, in Norman, OK. I trailered it from there to GN's house, and we drove it on and off the trailer. GN started buying some stuff for it, like the new trunk weatherstrip that is included in this sale. GN drove it up and down the highway a couple/3 times, it ran good, felt pretty good, but then life happened, and the car just sat in his driveway for about 5 years. There is some hail damage on the hood, roof, and trunk lid, and the paint on these portions of the car needs to be buffed by someone who knows what they're doing. (I don't...) So, I just cleaned it up and waxed it, and as you can see from the pics, this is almost a rust-free car. There is a minor place on the lip of the trunk on the left-hand side where the weather seal was broken, but nothing major. Underneath, it is really clean, and the car looks good from 20 feet, it was repainted many years ago, and there aren't too many door dings.I think that the car came from Texas, there is a very old parking sticker that says Texas Scottish Rite Hospital For Crippled Children. That would explain why there is such little rust on it. This car would make a GREAT project and driver for someone! Unfortunately, I was unable to get it running, I did pull the starter and got it to spin freely, but when you place it in the engine, the engine won't turn over. I took the glow plugs out and sprayed some rust-solvo in the cylinders just in case, but still nothing turning over. Hmmm... The car was running when GN pulled it back into the driveway and parked it back then, and although it was sitting outside, the hood was always down, and there is no sign of any water damage when you look at the oil, or inside the top oil cap on the valve cover. So, I have reached the end of my limited diesel mechanic skills, and it's time for someone else to work on this car. I would be interested in what you find out is wrong with it. I have 85 pictures of the car, inside and out, and underneath, but ebay only allows 24 pics. I hope to get a separate site put up in the next few days for all of the pics, and when I do, I'll add the link to the auction. Or, I can email them to you, but that's a LOT of files. Now, for the purchase/shipping details... Buyer will pay any freight charge to ship the vehicle, or feel free to come pick it up and haul it home yourself, I'm in the NW Yukon, OK area, which is a part of the greater NW Oklahoma City, OK area, right in the middle of the country. I do have the ability to deliver the car for the right price and some extra freight charge, on an open dual axle 24' trailer. If you want to get a quote from a transport company, use the Surrey Hills Golf Club address as the point of origin, the address is 11340 Surrey Hills Blvd, Yukon, OK, 73099. I'm about 1/2 mile around the corner. I also have the 240D listed elsewhere, so I reserve the right to end the auction early if I get calls from the local ads. DON'T BID IF YOU DON'T INTEND TO BUY THE CAR! Having sold cars on eBay previously, it is necessary to include the following: The car is sold "As Is and Shown", with no warranties or guarantees beyond what is stated here. If you end up being the high bidder, the car MUST be paid for within 3 days, period. If for some reason you need a couple/3 extra days, then give me a call IN ADVANCE, we can work out a deposit, otherwise no exceptions, and I expect any buyer to call me to verify the sale within a day. Winning this auction is NOT the right to inspect the car and bargain, or back out, inspect the car BEFORE THE AUCTION ENDS if the pictures aren't good enough for you. If you have specific questions about the condition of something that isn't clear to you in the pics, please feel free to ask, I will reply ASAP. However, please BE SURE to look through ALL the pictures above BEFORE ASKING! Also, I am not interested in ANY trade deal of any kind, this is to be an outright sale. I will accept cash in person, or a direct Bank-to-Bank Wire Transfer using the Federal Reserve System, or a Cashier's check drawn on a bank THAT HAS A BRANCH IN OKLAHOMA CITY that WE AGREE ON IN ADVANCE, that's it. NO Cashiers checks from out of state banks, personal checks, Bitcoins, trades, preferably CASH or WIRE TRANSFER. However you pay, I MUST BE PAID IN FULL BEFORE THE CAR LEAVES MY POSSESSION, NO EXCEPTIONS!!! I intend to take the best offer I get from wherever in the next 2-3 weeks. If you have any questions, call me (Darrell) on my cell at 405-650-2864. I have 100% feedback for over 16 years on ebay for a reason, I try to represent anything I'm selling as accurately and completely as possible. I'm not interested in getting my first negative feedback either! So, if you have ANY reservations about bidding/buying this car, let's communicate in advance to make sure we're both happy with the deal, and a phone conversation is easier than emailing. Thanks for your interest in a really unique old car!
