1985 Jeep CJ-7. This Jeep runs great and is a beast in the field. It is highway legal and it is highway worthy. I will list as much as I can, but there is a lot more to it. It has power steering. It has a front locker. I have put many, many man hours and over 20 grand into this Jeep in the last 5 years. I have 90% of all the receipts. It has the 2.5" Pro Comp suspension lift, with a 2" body lift that makes for good highway stability at high speeds. If I were going to keep this Jeep, I would make some additions in the near future: It has a new A/C system under the hood, but it needs a new evaporator (the part under the dash that is about $300). It needs a new speedometer and it could use a new master cylinder one day in the future. The windshield needs to be re-seated with a new seal. It does not leak bad - only a small drip in hard rain. I would also upgrade the brakes to power brakes one day. Here's a partial list of what's been done to it recently, with receipts (last few months): Exterior sand blasted and rhino lined (less than 3 months ago) New taillights, new front turn signals, new hood hardware (last month) New heater core with a new blower, all in the last monthNew windshield wipers and bladesNew starterRadiator re-buildNew tie rod ends and ball joints (front end)Re-keyed doors and rear hatchNew battery Oil & filter change Last few years; $1500 Kenwood stereo system installed by Best Buy with marine speakers a year or so ago New front seatsCustom front and rear steel bumpers by Spiller Hitches in Austin, Tx 33" tires from Discount Tires Removed 6 cylinder engine and replaced with V-8 (AMC 304)Removed the weak 5 speed transmission and replaced with the strong T-18 four speedNew shocks, brake lines, pads and shoesNew Carbuerator This is not a show Jeep. This was not a 'frame off' restore. The body does show 'some' beating. This is a dependable work, hunting Jeep, or even a daily driver. NOTE: This Jeep has been wrecked and/or rolled some time in it's past history (I do not know when or where or to what extent), but I have re-built it as best I could and had the frame checked out thoroughly (I have the body shop receipt). The frame is straight and true - all good, very stable, and dependable - off the road or on the road. If interested, contact me for additional photos, or to make an appointment to come check it out or test drive it. I prefer a local pick-up, but I will deliver it for a nominal fee after you've checked it out in person.
