This is a 74 jeep with the 304 v8 in it. It runs and drives great! It has a factory remand power stearing,skyjacker shocks,aluminum weals,and a rebuilt carb. It has new oil and fuel filters as well as new oil. The guy that had it before me said he put a new clutch in it but i cant prove it. The clutch is nice and smooth and dosnt slip. This is a 1981 CJ7. KINDA! I did not build this.The engine is a 1986? Jeep Cherokee 4.0. carbureted. it was fuel injected engine before but it has a conversion on it now.It is an automatic Cherokee transmission and transfer caseThe Frame and all surrounding parts that make up the rest of the running gear and suspension are 1981 Cj7It has a winch not sure who made it, it does work.new set of Dolphin gauges installed last year.Seats only have lap belts. the seats and belts are lightly faded.It has 2 battery boxes and a boat style battery switch. Only one battery is currently in the jeep. Why are their 2 batteries? Good question.A really cool feature is that it has a Keg for a gas tank!All 5 tires are like new.This is street legal. it has turn signals, stop lights, windshield wipers, mirrors and high and low beams. (their is a dent in one of the mirrors). the 4 wheel drive works the buggy runs and drives very well.the body is a Dune buggy body that was converted to fit the frame of the CJ7. the Radiator is in the rear in front of the spare tire. it has 2 cooling fans on the radiator. this buggy was well thought out when they built it. If you wanted an attention getter this would be it. If you to be covered in mud while mudding this would be perfect. I used this buggy to run around my property and drive it on the Beach (not in the salt water). it is a lot of fun but it doesn't get used like I thought it would. What we have here is a nice 304 Cubic inch automatic '76 Jeep CJ7 that needs to be finished. I picked this up as a winter project while I recuperate from a health event. My health went south and i dont have the drive to complete the project. Included with buy it now, brand new engine lift. This is a clean title and matching numbers. The Good Stuff; The entire body is replaced with a fiberglass body that is in great shape. It has both doors and the hard top.The engine runs strong with no knocks and no smoking. The engine is tight, does not burn or leak oil. The old carb was replaced with a new double pumper. the ignition is upgraded with an electronic ignition, Hotshot coil, and new distributor gear. There is a new starter, new fuel pump, new gas lines replacing the old rusty ones. The alternator is replaced along with a larger core radiator, new thermostat, flex fan and new upper hose. I added a steering stabilizer shock absorber kit and she drove like a BMW. The tranny fluid is new along with the filter. There are updated Warn Lock-out hubs, the transfer case has a hi/low range shifter at the drivers seat. The tires are 95% good there are various small parts for the rebuild included, things like gaskets and odds and ends. The suspension is lifted 4" and the body 2' There is a snow plow that mounts on the front bumper the hydraulics link to a T fitting in the power steering with controls on the dash board. Bad Stuff; Needs a battery box, minor scratches on the body. interior need so lovin. The frame is shot and a replacement rolling frame is included with the sale. Selling a very nice 1984 CJ7 Laredo. This is a very special Jeep, and I hate to see it go. This is a special order Garnet and Nutmeg color combination. True collectors know how limited production numbers of this special order combination are out there... not very many. This CJ is a true survivor. All the paint, carpet, interior, etc. is all original. The hood did have a repaint a couple of years ago due to fading. The front fenders have some rock chips and the paint does have some wear. However, keep in mind this is a 33 year old survivor. Overall, this Jeep is in excellent condition. Absolutely zero rust / rot / body repairs ever done to this vehicle. Believe me when I tell you this is a good one! Again, not a pristine, but very very good. The engine runs great and the transmission shifts smoothly as it should. 4WD engages no problem. All the windows roll up/down perfectly. All gauges are original and still work as they should. Even the clock still works perfectly. Though this Jeep is one of the very best survivors still out there, it is not perfect. The AC is complete and intact, but does not work. Could be something as simple as a fuse or tripped pressure switch, but I never looked in to it. Jeeps are meant to be driven without their tops on! Unfortunately, when I purchased the Jeep, the factory radio did not work. I took it out, bench tested it, and it just didn't work. I brought it to a local electronics repair shop and the guy had no clue what was wrong with it. The radio has been discarded. However, the wiring harness for the radio is complete and uncut. Its still inside the Jeep. The original interior is in excellent condition overall. The driver seat does have a tear on the bottom cushion. This is very common, especially for a vehicle of this age. A seller on eBay sells exact reproduction seat bottoms should you decide to replace it. The passenger seat and rear bench are both in outstanding condition. The window seals will need replacing. No big deal as its an easy job. Also, at some point, the previous owner must have removed or replaced the rear differential cover as it has some green paint on it. Other then these few issues aforementioned, this Jeep is a outstanding. All in all this is an extremely rare, valuable Jeep. The original window sticker and sales invoice come with the Jeep, so that is kind of cool! As you guys have seen, the prices on these just keep going up. If you have been watching Ebay for a collector candidate Jeep here may be the one for you. I have been holding this 1983 CJ-7 for the original owner but need to sell it so reasonable offers are entertained. If no luck here then I plan to take it to a consigner. Clear GA title in hand. After some cosmetic aftermarket work when new by the local 4x4 shop here in North Georgia this CJ has been unmolested. Always garaged, it has not seen rain since the 1980s. But better than sitting it has been started and driven periodically throughout its life on nice weekends. Please look closely at the pictures to get an idea of the condition. The tub looks pretty much perfect to me. It got keyed on the driver side 30 years ago (see the last two pics) but the original paint is otherwise in amazing shape. I haven't even cleaned the engine yet and it looks good, you can see the original cold air intake duct is still on there. The fuel line and fan belt are new OEM. The 1980s mods that I can see include rhino-lining the interior in matching Sebring Red, an aftermarket JVC CD player with remote and two mounted speakers in the back that sound great, wire cage covers on the headlamps and taillights, a Hella light bar, Smittybilt nerf bars, an added gas gauge (the original doesn't work, as usual), and tubular chromed front & rear bumpers that look age appropriate. As you would expect this Jeep drives straight with no shimmy or wobble. It cranks right up if there is gas in the fuel line. If it sits for more than a week you have to work the manual fuel pump a few times. No issues with the battery. All 5 tires, brakes, exhaust look fine- you can drive it home no problem.
