1978 CJ has an original 304ci AMC V8 engine and 3-speed T150 manual transmission with Dana 5.29 gears. It has 5" lift with 35" ProComp Extreme A/T tires. The Jeep comes with half doors that never been installed and all-black bikini top . Custom-built roll cage was fabricated for it. The front and rear seats have seat belts. This Jeep CJ7 was restored by Jeff Spence of Just CJs in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Jeff restores about 5 Jeeps a year and does great work. The restoration took place in 2011 and I am the second owner since then. The Jeep runs and drives much better than the average CJ7 thanks to the restoration and fuel injection conversion. Hot or cold days do not bother this Jeep at all - fires right up and runs great every time. I recently took the Jeep to world-famous Collins Brothers Jeep in Wylie, Texas, just outside Dallas (collinsbrosjeep.com). I asked them to service it and go through it to look for any trouble. The owner, Dennis Collins, told me it was one of the best CJ7s they had seen and that it was very solid.
