The pictures say it all, this jeep looks outstanding turning heads wherever it goes. From custom welded fender flares, all new electrical, new working gauges, paint job, full roll cage, custom front and rear bumpers, Bluetooth stereo with sound bar, this Jeep has all of the features an off road CJ should have. ZERO rust anywhere and this is an all-around metal body sample. No fiberglass or plastic on the body; this thing is as solid as a tank. 93,200 miles on the body but engine was swapped by the previous owner with a fresh build of the legendary AMC 258 cu in (4.2L) straight I6 engine (roughly 30k miles on engine). This engine gives you all of the reliability, stability and power that this Jeep needs. Compression tests recently performed with favorable output results. This CJ comes equipped with manual 3 speed transmission and shifts smoothly on all gears. There are no mechanical issues to address, 4WD works like it should, new brake lines, new exhaust (sounds great), new carburetor, new radiator, new battery, new wiring harness, new steering stabilizer shock, new reupholstered seats, custom rear bench seats, 3 point harness seat belts on front and back, new roll bar foam padding, fresh oil on transmission, transfer case, and engine. 1981 CJ5 with original body tub. This Jeep has NEVER had any rust and has been garaged its entire life. Original floor is in excellent condition and like the body tub, has never had any rust. Completely rebuilt from the frame up two years ago so mileage listed reflects time since then. Body was media blasted to bare metal and confirmed no rust or repair. Front fenders have been replaced due to minor de-lamination but original fenders will also be included in the sale. The only modification to the Body was the addition of a CJ tailgate and associated hardware. The original owner sent this Jeep directly from the dealership in Texas to Novak Conversions which was at the time located in Santa Fe Springs CA. to have the conversion done for a Chevy 350. There is a Novak data plate on the fire wall that reflects this. The engine has 1722 miles on it and is mated to a SM 476 transmission which I ordered directly from Novak last year. Just about everything on this Jeep is new including brake and fuel lines, wiring harness, all mounting bolts and hardware, drive shafts, exhaust system, etc. To the best of my knowledge this Jeep has never had a top on it as no holes were drilled in it's original body tub. As a result no top is included. Jeep is in mechanically excellent condition with the only issue being an inop fuel guage. Original fan/heater box was not replaced during the rebuild but aftermarket parts are available if required. Jeep comes with a WARN spare tire rack and rear bumper as well.
