Red Skelton bought it new out in Nevada and kept it in California from 1983 until 2010. Only 25,500 miles were put on it during that time. Wagonmaster.com (Kerville, Tx) purchased it from Red Skelton’s widow in 2010. Wagonmaster.com did their wonderful renewal process on this, already extremely clean, wagon. They sold it to the individual who kept it in Beaumont Texas. I purchased it from him in 2015. (Exclusively California & Texas owned) All original & numbers matching Beautifully maintained Showing no wear! All original paperwork provided Air conditioner blows cold CD changer with XM radio installed by Wagonmaster.com and the original radio was kept. I haven’t have had to do much work to it other than replace the rear main engine seal and rebuild the carburetor. It drives like a dream. A true collector.
This 1988 Jeep Grand Wagoneer has 178,XXX miles and runs and drives well. We have done a lot of work to this vehicle mechanically. There a few dings and scratches, but the bones of this vehicle are very good. Tires are around 70%. This vehicle has a V-8 engine, 4x4, power seats, power sun-roof, power mirrors, and many more features. The rear drivers side window does not work, there are a few cracks in the seat leather, and there is a small dent in the passenger side rear quarter panel. Has factory air although compressor is removed but comes with the vehicle, unsure of compressor condition. Floors are solid. This Jeep is rust free. Stays on a battery tender. Fuel kept fresh. Tires and brakes good. Original interior is showing age (39 yrs). Original paint cleans up OK, but woodgrain has severely faded to white. Never wrecked. Engine and trans is stout.
