Beautifully Restored Early Series II We all know how gorgeous these Jaguars are. Every school boy that saw them when I was growing up wanted one! We didn't need Enzo Ferrari to tell us it was the most beautiful automobile ever produced. Now, we see prices skyrocketing for that exact reason. These series 2's are universally regarded as the best driving of all the models. Offered here is one of the best looking ones you will ever find. Finished in nearly flawless British Racing Green, this example was subject to a no expense spared restoration a few years ago. In fact, it was described to me as more like a re-manufacture. The engine and transmission were fully rebuilt as well. While the purists will say it was over-restored, there is no doubt when you witness this E-type, that everything was done as perfectly to the owners wishes as possible. Chrome is perfect, wire wheels are perfect, virtually every fastener was replaced, and the engine compartment is detailed out to near concours level. It starts, runs and shifts perfectly. Everything works as it should. You will be very hard pressed to find a more stunning example. The owner previous to me, believed to be the second owner, wished to drive and enjoy the car. The odometer indicates approximately 12,068 miles. Sometime early in its life, it was treated to the installation of a Laycock-DeNormanville period correct overdrive unit, to counter-act the effects of the lower-for-america differential gear ratio. This of course lowers the noise level at highway speeds for a much more comfortable and enjoyable touring experience. I am told that the restoration took place on an already very clean, rust free car that lived in the Montreal area. The elderly gentleman that owned this car previous to me claimed to have spent over $100,000 on restoration and maintenance. I do have the Jaguar Heritage Certificate that indicate it is a numbers matching car, delivered in Canada. If you are looking for a truly enjoyable example of this fast appreciating collectible that can even compete in local car shows, this is it. Of course, inspections are encouraged. Low-ball offers will not be considered. No dealers offering to consign. Please check with your wife and bank before you bid!!

I purchased this car in Payson, Arizona and I have driven 2,500 miles since, mostly to car shows around townMy E-Type, is a matching numbers example. Cosmetically it shows as a presentable car. Overall, a wet sanding and comprehensive buffing would do this car justice. There is small area in the hood where a repair of an indentation caused by a broken radiator fan, done many years ago is starting to show. The glass and rubber are in great condition. No rust of any kind to be found. The rockers are clean and straight, the rear valence still has spot welds and seamsThe rear IRS carrier was clean, rebuilt and preloaded in 2005 by western differential, new hub bearing, seals, new brake lines, axle shafts, u joints, new shocks, springs, bushing and mounts where also replaced at the same time. Four new Dayton wire wheels (stainless steel and tubeless), plus four new knock-offs and 2 new rear splined hubs where added in 2011. The original wheels are included. Tires have less than 2000 miles. The interior is acceptable as a driver, again, but not perfectly correct however, very nice and in no need of attention. All of the gauges are in proper working order and all of the lights, brakes, signals etc. are in working order as well. The black leather seats and the center console where redone in leather 3 years ago. They are perfect. The radio was deleted at the time. I have the original front place for the radio as well as the speaker grills. The carpets, sills, headliner, doors, and trunk space are all original and show nicely. Steering wheel replaced a few years ago. The engine is clean and runs very strong with great oil pressure. The entire braking system is new, as are many of the suspension components. All the chrome is in great condition it was redone 6 years ago. Rebuilt front end and new front shocks New gear reduction starter. (old starter is included) New XKs distributor with Electronic ignition (old distributor is included) When the new Retro Air A/C kit was installed 6 years ago the following was done to improve the systems cooling efficient in the desert: Dynamat insulation under all the carpets, New 85 amp alternator. (old one is included) New 4 rows core for the radiator was built Electrical fan was installed. (One of the original two fans is included) All of this can be easily reversed The car is currently register and insured. Please email with any additional interest. The glove box liner needs to be replaced ($ 65 new from Xks) The breather tube is missing, found a new one and it is on back order. do NOT contact me with unsolicited services or offers

1969 Jaguar Series II, E-Type OTS. All numbers matching car. California car all its life until just a few years ago when it came to CT. In 2014 it underwent a full engine and interior out repaint, stripped to bare metal, with all new rubber seals, new interior, (original leather on seats, with new pad/cushion), new roof, new boot cover, new chrome, new Dayton wire wheels, new tires. The car is currently equipped with a stainless exhaust, updated fans for better cooling, a GM alternator and Tremec 5 speed manual transmission. The original 4 speed box comes with the car. The lump was rebuilt 12,000 miles ago. This car is a multi-show winner but is built to be a reliable driver and has been driven and enjoyed, however, it is kept in immaculate condition and no expense is spared in her upkeep. The odometer reads 98,000 miles however, this is like a new car. I have driven this car and absolutely incredible is what first comes to mind.. supreme confidence is what next comes to mind... The steering is tight, the shifts are precise, the engine pulls strong through all five gears and cruises easily at 80MPH spinning just about 2000 RPM. This car feels like driving a new car, not something 45 years old. There is a Heritage Certificate that comes with the car along with copies of all receipts. At 2 Jaguar Clubs of North America (JCNA) sanctioned Concours D'Elegance events in 2014 this car scored a 9.952 and 9.964 in the Driven D03 Class and took Best In Show at one of them. It has taken trophies in nearly every show it has been entered in.
