Ladies & Gentlemen, From Los Angeles, California, the Jaguar! Here's a 1969 Jaguar XKE 2+2 Left hand drive U.S. Delivery coupe, sold new by Charles Hornberg Jaguar on Wilshire Boulevard! It has its original engine, and it runs great - with a recent engine-out servicing and re-seal with receipts. . That is a handsome car, with wire wheels, factory air conditioning, 4.2 litre 6 cylinder overhead cam engine, Borg Warner automatic transmission, 4 wheel disc brakes, and independent front and rear suspension. . The Red leather interior is a perfect color choice against the silver exterior. . Jaguar got the styling just right! . Pretty! Here it is in operation! . Very pretty indeed! . Very nice chromium plating up front! . Sharp! . Its a series 2 Jaguar, from the series built from 1968 to 1970, with 6 cylinder engine and open headlights. . Chrome wire wheels really make the car! and notice how nice these wheels are, the chrome is excellent. . Good California undercarriage, with very recent dual exhausts from front to back. we'll see more of that in the undercarriage photos. . Very nice red leather interior. . Beautiful wood rimmed steering wheel, extremely clean dash, brilliant instruments. . Nice! . The leather is in good shape. I noted some wear on the center console pad. . The "+2" section . very nice. . Nice doorpanel and door edge. . Clean rear shelf . Nice wire wheel spare . Nice spare floor, rust - free, with jack pouch. . Jack and handle with pouch. . There's the 4.2 litre Engine, the original engine for this car. Extensive recent service. . Twin Stromberg-Zenith Carburettors, spelled the English way! . Nicely porcelainized exhaust manifolds. This view shows the air compressor. The A/C is all hooked up but does not blow cold. . This is a race-bred machine to be sure. . Wow! . There's the engine number - 7R36008-9, which tells us it was a 9 to 1 compression ratio engine. This engine is still in the car. . 1R40980BW is the car number, and it tells us this is a Left Drive 2+2 coupe, with Borg Warner automatic transmission. there is also a vin tag on the driver's windshield post that matches. The title is correct and matches the car. The paperwork is clean and the car will export with no problem. . Here's the VIN tag on the left windshield pillar, which matches the data plate and the title. , . Title VIN matches the Car VIN. . . The front subframe must have been changed, this is from an earlier car. . Here's the original owner, from Beverly Hills, CA. . Original warranty / Service book . Original Owner's manual . And plastic Jaguar document folio. . The paint job is an older one, and it looks like there are some flat spots, most notably on the roof and on the left front fender, shown below. . There's a flat spot just to the left of the chrome bead line. . Clean engine, very recent dual exhausts, and clean, dry, original floors. . Excellent lower doors, no rust here. . Super solid floors and rocker panels. . I put a magnet to the lower portion of the body, and the magnet sticks . This car shows the reason why California cars have a great reputation for solid bodies and rust free sheetmetal. . Nice under the rear section of the body . Here's the left side lower rear sheetmetal. . Some small flaws in the chrome on the rear bumper. . It's a pretty car, and one with good history and care. . Nice! . All that Jaguar styling and performance, with the comforts of Automatic transmission and air conditioning! . A U.S. Delivery California car from new in nice condition and at a reasonable price ! This all original car is a reliable daily driver or a great head start for a full restoration. Not one of those cars that was left outside with the window open for years. The engine was seized and has been fully rebuilt. It would be a great weekend car as it stands but to be a show car it needs to be repainted, trim work, and an overall re-fresh of the car front to back. It's all original never had an accident. You get what you see, a good running straight car. The current second owner is a Certified Jaguar Mechanic who has owned it for 15 years. He's has worked in it since new so you have the added benefit of full knowledge of the car history from day one. The car is located in Hawthorne NJ and available to be seen anytime with an appointment. Stop by, start her, drive her, buy her. But of course all sales are final, no warranty expressed or implied, transaction is "as-is" "where-is" with shipment only after 100% of the funds have been established as cleared. I am listing it for the current owner so let me know what your thoughts are and I will connect you. Jim (201) 213-3588, text or email preferred.

Here is the story on this rare find, purchased new by a north NJ Dentist and gentle enjoyed on the weekends for many years. It was a weekend car but not pampered like the showpiece it is today. After the Dr passed it fell into further disrepair. His wife wanted to restore it and take to FL but those dreams were never realized either. The family wanted to keep the car but ultimately determined it was too big a job to restore so the Jaguar Dealer's Certified Mechanic who took care of the car since new bought it about 8 years ago and is the current owner. The frame-off restoration was finished about 3 years ago and there have been 0 miles put on it since. Car comes with all the service records and the added benefit of the Certified Mechanics intimate knowledge of the car from day one. Everything is original, never in any kind of an accident. The smell of the leather seats is classic, the quality of the restoration is top of the line. The engine has never been out of the car in original condition running perfectly. The drive train, electrical system, chassis, suspension, glass have all been refreshed. All new rubbers and gaskets. Very little to no Bondo with all the body panels are staight and in great condition. All the chrome trim is impeccably restored or refreshed. The wheels have been painted the same color as the car. She has not ventured out since its transformation but would be be well known at the shows if she had. The car is located in Hawthorn NJ and available to be seen anytime with an appointment. Stop by, start her, drive her, buy her. But of course all sales are final, no warranty expressed or implied, transaction is "as-is" "where-is" with shipment only after 100% of the funds have been established as cleared. Tell You Heart Heads Up Geneva, March 16 1961. Jaguar unveils that star of the Auto show, a 150 mph race-bred monocoque sports car with independent rear suspension, disc brakes and styling that would become an icon of the 60s. Its name is the Jaguar E-type (or XKE as it will be better known in the United States). Then on May 7, 1968, this particular “Series 1.5” car rolled off of the assembly line in Coventry, England bound for the U.S. Could its builders have imagined then that this car would command the roads well into the next millennium? Although an icon of beauty, this car has been restored to be driven. Affectionately (and with tongue in cheek) known as "Bad Kitty", this E-Type features quite a few all-Jaguar upgrades and enhancements from its full restoration in 2006 that respect the vintage of the car. The transmission is a 5-speed CJ5 unit from Classic Jaguar in Austin, Texas, specifically designed for E-Types with modern features like carbon fiber synchro rings. The original engine was completely rebuilt (light-weight flywheel, new cams, head, & larger valves) and balanced after a triple-Weber carb conversion. Also added were a custom A/C system from Retro A/C, Securon retractable locking three-point seat belts, and an upgraded charging system. Aesthetically, the car has Dayton six-inch wire wheels with Series 1 "eared" knock-off hubs, new (2006) interior upholstery, new (2006) headliner, and new (2006) paint in the car's original Opalescent Silver Gray Metallic color.Aesthetically, the car exudes class and sophistication without being pretentious. But the key differentiator of this car over most other E-Types currently on the market is the way it drives. Bad Kitty is a thoroughbred that is ready for action at the turn of its key. This is a no-excuses high-quality driver whose driving experience is more mechanically immersive than any modern sports car. You get it, turn the key, and go...and go fast you will! But its most impressive feature is inspiration. Watching the dawn light flow over Bad Kitty’s sumptuous compound curves, you'll soon know what all the fuss is about, and why this is an automotive icon.NOTE: Not recommended for those whose hearts are not healthy enough for sex, as both looking at and driving Bad Kitty can induce fainting spells. Car Name: Bad Kitty Year, Make & Model: 1968 Series 1.5 E-Type FHC. (Jaguar does not officially recognize the "Series 1.5" designation, but instead considers these the last of the Series 1s. Enthusiasts, collectors, and even the Jaguar Club of North America (JCNA) use the Series 1.5 moniker for cars made for model-year 1968 because of the significant changes made to the car to improve reliability, and satisfy U.S. safety& emissions regulations that would take effect in 1969. The exterior is the essentially the same as almost all other Series 1 cars made from 1961 - 1967. The big changes were to the cooling system, dash, and headlights.) Chassis Number (used for VIN): 1E35328 NOTE: The VIN number of title matches the chassis number on the data plate. However, the actual chassis number stamped on the "bird cage" front frame section is 1E35528 (one digit off). The Jaguar-Daimler Heritage Trust rendered an opinion supporting the conclusion that there is an error on the data plate. A curious and rare occurrence, but not unheard of. There is no issue with title, nor any contention over the match of the numbers. A copy of their opinion is included in the documentation to be supplied with the car.) The Jaguar-Daimler Heritage Trust issues Heritage Certificates that officially confirm a Jaguar's identification numbers, date of manufacture, delivery destination, and even first owner. Bad Kitty's Heritage Trust Certificate will come with the car. The original mileage is not known, as the odometer was reset during the 2006 restoration. Since then, 19,039 miles have been put on the clock.

Email: [email protected] Phone: 980.216.8550 1965 Jaguar E-type Series I Fixed Head Coupe Please Read All MotorCarTrader.com is very excited to offer this stunning 1965 Jaguar E-type Coupe. The date of manufacture of this great car was December 16 of 1964 and the date of dispatch was December 30 of 1964. The car is finished in its original and very desirable color combination of Opalescent Silver Blue with Dark Blue interior. This is an early 4.2 Fixed Head Coupe and one of the first 400 coupes made. This beautiful Jaguar E-type is a matching numbers car. It does come with a Heritage Certificate confirming originality. In addition, it also comes with documentation of the substantial work done to this car since 2006. The goal was to make this car an exceptional driver with driver upgrades. Also, from what we understand, there has not been a lot of miles placed on this car since this work has been done. This car does run and drive exceptional. We have driven this car extensively in the humid and warm North Carolina summer and the car holds temperature great thanks to the Aluminum radiator and electric fan upgrade. Furthermore, the cockpit remains nice and cool with a new RetroAir air conditioning system installed and designed specifically for Jaguar E-types. The Jaguar E-type presented here has plenty of power and a lot of fun to drive. This Jaguar is fantastic to drive at any speed as well and very tight throughout. There is no shaking in the steering wheel, no noises (or grinding) in any of the gears, no rear end noise and the clutch feels great. It has excellent oil pressure, and the compression was tested recently (7/20/15): 1)-150psi, 2)-155, 3)-145, 4)-155,5)-145,6)-150. Everything is working as it should and is truly a pleasant car to enjoy. Some of the work done over the past 10 years that we have correspondence on, some pictures and invoices on this E-type Coupe are as follows: Rebuilt engine. Rebuilt carburetors. New Alternator Repainted around 2005 Original Opalescent Silver Blue All New Floors. New Stainless Steel Exhaust System. Full Rebuild of the rear end and all new Koni shocks and new brake calipers. New front brake calipers and new front end bushings. All bumpers re-chromed. All brakes re-sleeved with stainless steel. New Brake master cylinder. Rebuilt servo. New Slave Cylinder. New Wheel bearings. New upper and lower ball joints. All new belts, hoses and clamps. All new gaskets. New water pump. New interior: New dark blue leather seats with all new Dark Blue carpet, center console, grey headliner, door panels, dash, wheel arch covers, rear panel, door sills. New seat belts. New 15” Wooden Steering Wheel installed (5) New 72 Dayton SS Spoke Chrome Wheels with new chrome knock offs (5) 185R15 Michelin Red Lines Tires Solid state electronic fuel pump installed New windshield with all new rubber seals installed. New Aluminum Radiator with Integral fan installed Full XKE A/C kit from RetroAir installed with new hoes, pulleys, compressor etc. New Interstate Battery Underside cleaned, degreased, detailed and coated with 3M Body Schutz New Thermostat New gear reduction starter installed (the original goes with the car). Jaguar tool set, jack and THOR knock off hammer Torsion bars adjusted as needed for correct vehicle level. All gauges gone through and voltage regulator replaced. Handbrake Micro switch Replaced Oil changed at 46,157 miles (6/26/15) and all fluids checked and fittings lubricated. New Speedometer cable and angle drive (speedo was bouncing). Engine compartment detailed. Valve covers removed and polished. Carburetors cleaned and polished. Intake manifold polished. Overflow tank powder coated, as well as heater box and expansion tank. The exhaust manifolds were ceramic coated on inside and out for longevity. AC system serviced on 6/26/15. Evacuated FREON and leak check system. Recharged system and replaced Schraeder valves. New A/C compressor relay installed. Overall, this E-type Coupe is a higher end driver level car. This is a great car for someone who likes to drive their cars anywhere and enjoy them, rather than just taking them to shows. We would say overall, this car is a very nice #2 driver car. The Jaguar presented here is a great example of a car that has been well maintained with a lot of recent work done to make it a reliable and fun car. In addition, this is a great investment as Jaguar E-type Series I Coupes have been appreciating rapidly and hard to find in this good of condition with matching numbers and in the original color combination. You are bidding on a mint condition, 1970 Jaguar E-Type 2+2 Coupe. First introduced in 1961, the E-Type was described by Enzo Ferrari as "The prettiest car of all time". The E-Type is a definitive icon of 1960s motoring along such classics as the Ferrari 250 and the Corvette Stingray. This E-Type is a later Series II model, featuring a 4.2L straight six engine mated to a four speed manual gearbox for sporty driving characteristics. This car was imported from Long Island, NY to Montreal, Canada by myself personally. I have owned it for the past 8 years and in that time it was always properly stored in a heated garage during the cold winter months. This car is not a "garage queen", it is ready to drive, just turn the key and go. The car turns heads and receives attention wherever it goes. ExteriorThe exterior of this E-Type is in excelled condition for its age. All chrome trim pieces are in place and do not show any signs of rust. It features North American-spec wrap around chrome bumpers front and rear. There are small scratches in the paint on one side of the hood, they are not noticeable unless closely looked at. Barring these blemishes, the paint can be described as "very good". This car retains the correct uncovered headlamps, which were characteristic of Series II cars. The wire-mesh chrome rims are in great condition, with no signs of curb rash. InteriorThis car has the original leather seats which were installed at the factory. The leather does exhibit some cracking (see photos). All switch gear and dials are original and they are all functional. I replaced the radio with a modern single-DIN head unit. The headliner was professionally reupholstered last year. Additional work was done to strengthen the driver's and passenger's side floorboards. EngineThis E-Type starts every time and drives exceptionally for a car of its vintage. The car is very agile, featuring four wheel disk brakes and independent suspension. The four-speed transmission engages every gear smoothly. The twin exhaust tips provide a sporty sound without being overpowering at cruising speed. The engine runs strong and pulls in any gear. Several mechanical upgrades were done, including: Brake master cylinder replacedRadiator hoses replacedUpgraded electric fan installedClutch master and slaveRear brakesRebuilt alternatorNew BatteryAll work was carried out by a local garage specializing in antique exotic cars. The car is listed as-is, with no warranty. All descriptions accurate to the best of my knowledge. Flexible with shipping arrangements, international buyers welcome. This stunning early E-Type is offered for sale on the classic car market for the first time. I have owned this special car for 28 years. I rescued it from a Los Angeles scrapyard in 1987, it then received a proper full restoration and was placed back into service in 1990. I have shown, driven, and maintained it ever since. The car is now located in Madison, Wisconsin. I am not a dealer, this is the only classic car I own, and I have put an untold amount of my own sweat, blood, and money into it over the years. Due to the rate at which this early and beautiful E-Type is increasing in value, I have reluctantly decided it is time for me to sell it and find a new project. In its current condition (Condition 2 if not better, in my estimation), it has won numerous trophies and people’s choice awards. I have been asked to bring this car to multiple invitation-only concours d'elegance, the most recent being the Milwaukee Masterpiece in August of this year (as seen in one of the photos). With a small additional investment (compared to its ultimate value), I believe this car would be a JCNA or concours winner at any venue, if that is the buyer's desire. It is incredibly beautiful to look at, but this car also has been kept in proper tune and maintained for spirited driving. It has lived in a temperature controlled garage since its restoration, with about 10,500 miles driven during those 25 years. This car showcases the timeless lines and performance of the E-Type as beautifully as any example you will ever see. I fully intend to sell this car and would like it to go to the buyer it deserves. I believe I have set a very fair Buy Now price, and I expect the car will sell at that price. Again, I am not a dealer, and I have no desire to play games. For anyone interested in purchasing or making an offer, I strongly encourage you to call me first, as I will only sell to a buyer I feel comfortable with. If you have a history of bid retractions or other eBay problems, please don’t bother trying to purchase this car, as I will not sell to you. I will happily answer questions, and I expect potential buyers will do the same. I have included many photos in this listing (and others are available upon request). Please examine them, read the description below, and feel free to contact me if you are interested or have questions. I would love to discuss this car with any serious buyer. My telephone number is (608) 848-5333, please ask for Tom. At my full discretion, this listing may end early. Please read the description and terms of sale below BEFORE making an offer or purchasing. DESCRIPTION: This is an early E-Type, car number 885444, the 444th left-hand drive coupe to leave the factory, manufacture date January 9, 1962. It has flat floors and square rear bulkhead, along with other less obvious features of early E-Types. This car does not have outside bonnet locks or welded bonnet louvers. I have a personal letter (dated 1988) from Jaguar at Browns Lane confirming the car’s history, as well as the car’s Heritage Certificate. I have traced the car’s history back to its original owner in Seattle. All historical documentation, restoration records and receipts are included with this sale, along with a tool roll (non-original but including some period tools), jack, two car covers, and a large assortment of small spare parts. Engine: After its initial rebuild by a local shop in 1989, a valve failure led to a second major rebuild of this car’s 3.8 liter engine in 2004, only about 3,500 miles ago. It is possibly the last XK engine to be rebuilt by the late John Miller of Straight Six Jaguar in California, one of the truly iconic Jaguar men. He rebuilt this engine to stock 9:1 specifications. It is really just coming out of its break-in period and pulls very strongly. I have fitted a modern spin-on oil filter conversion, as well as a gear-reduction starter, but still have the originals. I do not believe the block and head to be original to this car, numbers do not match. This car has what I consider a typical amount of oil drip from the usual places. Gearbox: The original Moss box has been very reliable. Synchromesh is strong on third and top gears, solid on second if the driver knows what he or she is doing. I have noticed no inappropriate noises. Suspension, Rear Axle & Steering: This car is fitted with 3.31 rear axle, as far as I know it was shipped from the factory with this option. Koni shocks on all four wheels. The rebuilt steering rack is precise and responsive. Exhaust: Exhaust system is stock configuration, upgraded with stainless mufflers. The exhaust manifolds were recently coated by Jet-Hot, an attractive and durable compromise for a driven show car, compared to the poor quality porcelain coatings now available. Cooling: A high volume puller fan has been fitted, with remote switch under dash. The heater core and bulkhead pipes have been bypassed as I have had no need for a heater. I do not know if the heater core or fan motor are serviceable, as I’ve never examined or tested them. The original alloy radiator was functional when I originally restored the car, but I have since fitted a more modern replacement that looks proper and has worked very well for me. The rare original radiator is included with this sale. Fuel System: Rust-free system, sealed fuel tank, all fuel lines recently replaced. The original immersed fuel pump is in place (serviceability unknown) but the car uses an external SU pump which has been fitted inside the right rear quarter panel. The triple SU carbs are in excellent and reliable tune. Brakes: Stock system, upgraded with stainless steel brake lines and Green Stuff pads. The brake and clutch systems use silicone fluid. Wheels & Tires: At the time of restoration, four new chrome wire wheels were fitted, sealed for tubeless tires, with polished stainless steel spokes and nipples for strength and a deep luster. The car is currently fitted with four Michelin XWX 185/70VR15 (very high speed rated) tires, which give superb grip and performance. Paint & Chrome: During restoration, this car received extensive professional sheet metal repairs on a rotisserie jig using proper new panels. It left the factory with cream paint and a red interior. Now, the classically beautiful paintwork is a modern, clear-coated Opalescent Silver Gray blend. This car has a deep silver-gray luster in the shade and shines with a stunning and elegant yellow, blue and green opalescence in the sunshine. At 25 years post-restoration, the paintwork and chrome appear shockingly fresh. An excellent professional repair (and respray) of a small dent was performed in the bonnet center section this summer. Interior: Gray leather seats, vinyl, moquette, hardura and carpet. Proper polka-dot alloy dash and console. Original toggle switches. Electrical: Converted to negative ground to accommodate an electronic tach generator (original instrument body retained for appearance). Upgraded with LED bulbs in gauges, instruments and panel. This car is beautiful, but no car is perfect. In addition to the description above, the following are several of the car's known imperfections. Note this is not an exhaustive list or assessment of the car's condition. All interested parties should thoroughly read the description and terms in this listing, contact me with questions, and inspect the car before making an offer or Buy Now purchase:The door courtesy lights are not wired. The windshield wiper park switch is not wired (the rebuilt wiper motor does work at both speeds). There is a small dent and a sealed paint chip at the rear of the car. This occurred in the paint shop shortly after painting. Since it is essentially covered by the right rear bumper blade, I have never bothered to fix it.There is a small dent on the bottom of one lower front sub-frame member, caused by a jack-stand.There is a light ripple in the bodywork near the upper front corner of the passenger door. There is an intermittent click in the front suspension when turning at creeping speed. I presume it is due to uneven wear in the upper wishbones, which were one of the few components not replaced during the initial restoration (due to unavailability at the time). I ignore it, as I have never heard it at any driving speed and it does not affect steering precision or stability. The front floor carpets are new but not correct. This car is beautiful to look at, tremendous on the road, and a piece of early Jaguar history. I welcome serious enquiries only. PLEASE READ THE TERMS OF SALE BELOW. DO NOT MAKE AN OFFER OR BUY NOW PURCHASE UNLESS YOU HAVE READ THESE TERMS AND UNDERSTAND THEM. IF YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND ANY OF THESE TERMS, PLEASE ASK ME. TERMS OF SALE:I own this car and am the seller. I reserve the right to end this listing early if the car is sold.Any descriptions or representations I may make are not to be construed as a warranty or objective assessment of the car’s current condition.
