Stunning frame-off restored Concours level Silver Grey 1966 Series 1 E-Type OTS, including a rare Factory Hardtop, and with only 63,650 miles. This particular car exemplifies the beauty and performance of the legendary E-Type as it was originally intended. This is a frame-off restored car with matching numbers (certified by Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust/ Trace Certificate #1898) It was appraised for insurance by AAG a year ago (July 2014) at $150,000 and stated value insured for that amount. Contact me for a copy of that appraisal and additional photos. HISTORY/PROVENANCE: Build date was December 22, 1965 and dispatched to Jaguar Cars, New York on January 17, 1966. The car was then shipped to John Tune Motors, Nashville, TN. sometime in March of 1966. The car had remained in Nashville, until I'd acquired it in October of 2011. The original owner was Murrey Mizell "Buddy" Harman Jr., having taken delivery on April 22, 1966 in Nashville. Mr. Harman was a legendary Nashville session drummer and celebrated for being the most recorded drummer in music history, having played on over 18,000 recording sessions/records during his 40 year career. Mr. Harman, along with a select few other artists, is credited by the Hall of Fame for creating the "Nashville Sound", which helped establish Nashville as a world renown music mecca. Mr. Harman is also recognized by the music community as contributing to the sounds and revolutionary Rock-n-Roll era as well. His collaboration and session work is a who's who list of artists from Elvis to Reba to Simon and Garfunkel. The list of artists and chart busting songs with his work is very long and impressive. Mr. Harmon sold the car sometime in 1967 and it was held briefly by two different owners until purchased by the owner before me on November 11, 1971. The car had remained in Nashville since that date and had been in the sole possession of that previous owner for the past 40 years. All documents pertaining to the history of the car are available and will transfer with the car. RESTORATION: A full frame-off restoration was completed in 2001 at approximately 47,000 miles. A complete and comprehensive documentation of the restoration is available detailing the list of services performed and will transfer with the car. Since this list is much too extensive to detail here, below is just an overview of the restorative services completed. Engine completely rebuilt (Specifications documented) Crankshaft polished and installed with standard bearings New oil pump New upper and lower timing chains, guides, dampers and tensioner New big valve head installed with high performance camshafts Carburetors rebuilt Connecting rod bolts changed to later XJ6 style New porcelain on exhaust manifolds New Bell stainless steel exhaust system Brake calipers, master cylinder and servo rebuilt and new ss lines installed Dunlop clutch master cylinder was sleeved and rebuilt with new lines and hoses New slave cylinder New transmission synchronizers and bearings Flywheel resurfaced New Borg & Beck clutch installed All suspension rubbers replaced New ball joints and tie rod ends Radiator and heater core cleaned and restored Radiator fan motor and wiper motor rebuilt New Kevlar cooling hose kit installed New hub bearings and shock absorbers Alternator and starter rebuilt New fuel tank, pump and hoses Steering rack rebuilt New steering column bushings New complete wiring harness All electrical items replaced as necessary All body rubbers replaced Virtually all chrome pieces and bumpers rechromed Virtually all cadmium plated pieces replated Virtually all items requiring powder coating were redone New correct size Michelin Red Line 185R15's installed New Dayton wire wheels and knock-offs Top Frame repaired and restored New Interior installed New Black Stayfast top Complete frame-off body and frame restoration and re-paint Since the restoration, the car had been driven approximately 225 miles, primarily for weekly maintenance and an occasional Sunday short pleasure drive. When I acquired the car the mileage was 47,225. Current mileage is 63,650 miles. CURRENT CONDITION: During the restoration completed in 2001, compliance with the existing JCNA Concours Judging Guide (Series I) for originality and authenticity was an important factor. The car had been tweaked to comply as close as reasonably possible to the current JCNA Concours Judging Guide (45th Annual 2003 AGM Meeting). To provide some frame of reference for the outstanding beauty, originality and authenticity of this magnificent example, it does comply with the current JCNA Concours Judging Guide requirements for originality and authenticity, with the following known exceptions. 1. Lucas coil is +/- ......not CB & SW 2. Stainless steel Phillips head screws in headlight rim chrome.....not posi-driv 3. Current steering wheel affixed is not original. Original steering wheel, however, will transfer with the car 4. Missing plastic hold down carpet studs 5. No front license plate bracket or tilting assembly which was to be installed by dealer at delivery 6. Upgraded radiator and fan, air cleaners and fuel pump to achieve appreciatively higher performance, but all the original equipment transfers to next owner to put back to Concours Judging grade, if desired. OTHER INFORMATION REGARDING CURRENT CONDITION: 1. There are a few minor scuff marks on the center console and near the radio 2. There are a few minor scuff marks on the driver and passenger side seat top from sometimes forgetting to push seats forward before lowering top 3. An approximately 3 millimeter paint imperfection on the driver's side bonnet left of the chrome dividing strip and another on the boot 4. Small front main seal bearing leak when oil topped off, none when left less than full 5. Seat belt fabric in spots and latches would need further cleaning for Concours competition. 6. Boot cover attachment snaps need to be re-worked ADDITIONAL ITEMS INCLUDED: 1. Includes all documentation available and transfers with the car 2. Includes original rare manual "pouch" with original manuals and other hard to find original handbooks and pamphlets 3. Includes original and restored jack and pouch 4. Includes original and complete tool kit 5. Includes original and rare, exterior restored Black Factory hardtop 6. Includes additional full set of original wire wheels and second set of tires 7. Includes original steering wheel 8. Includes the original Black boot cover 9. Includes the original Black full cockpit Tonneau cover, but the snaps reqd are not installed. 10. Includes the original radiator and fan, air cleaners and fuel pump, etc., that had been replaced with performance enhancing upgrades. 11. Includes the original.....signed and dated.....Manufacturer's Warranty document This is an awesome example of a Concours level restored 1966 Series I E-Type OTS. The car is not "over restored" and is not perfect. It is not necessarily a "trailer queen". However, it's condition is Concours level (if original equipment is re-installed by next owner and issues above addressed) and complies very closely with the Concours judging guidelines for Series I's. The car is mechanically sound and cosmetically outstanding. It is ready for driving, show or both, today. Contact seller with any questions and for a copy of the AAG appraisal that will also have the interior and engine photos. Glad to have qualified buyers or their agents personally inspect the car, we are an hour south of Austin, just need to contact us to schedule an appointment. Shipping responsibility of buyer. $500 deposit via PayPal. Balance in full via bank wire within 3 business days of closing.

1966 Jaguar E-Type Roadster VIN 1E12387. ALL MATCHING NUMBER (original factory data plate included), second owner vehicle since 1989. This car is being sold with all numbers matching frame, engine, transmission, cylinder head and original 3x S.U. carbs with the original tags. Approximately 40,350 original miles on this vehicle. This vehicle is being sold with two (2) engines. The original matching number(s) engine/ cylinder head with less than 19,000 miles is in proper storage and ran very well when removed, ready to ship (engineshipping dot com). The original engine although in excellent condition, was replaced with the present engine, a, newly built modified 4.2 ltr. Jaguar six with uprated Jaguar rods,Venolia forged pistons, fully uprated cylinder head. Original radiator, alternator, starter, brakes, springs that were replaced with ‘aftermarket’ or modified Jaguar parts are included with this vehicle and were functional when removed. Presently tuned for premium octane unleaded, the modified engine is very strong, yet flexible, drives easily in traffic and with no overheating. Interested buyers should contact seller *now* with request for details of all modifications, etc. and any questions regarding this vehicle including specific photo request. A Jaguar Daimler Heritage Certificate comes with the vehicle showing serial number data and originality specification information as well as documents, shop receipts verifying mileage, history. Vehicle was repainted black with a Connolly leather/ wool, biscuit color interior 1989 along with new cloth top. Vehicle has always been garaged by owner in a humidity controlled environment and has a solid frame and body. Frame has never been removed. Much effort and cost has gone into fully sorting out and with proper maintenance making this a great driving E-type. It is a driver’s car! Hands off steering and braking at most any speed. It will cruise effortlessly all day at modern interstate highway speeds with a 3.07 differential gearing. It has no need for a 5-speed and pulls the original 4 speed gears impressively with way over 300 lb/ft of torque and 100+ horsepower over the standard factory engine. This car wants to go and is deceptively fast, however, docile in traffic. See the brief video at advert # 1724001 Hemmings online. In 2011 the rear cage was dropped and all seals (output shafts, pinion, differential) were replaced. Rear brakes were rebuilt at Apple Hydraulics. Rear cage and associated parts repainted. New rubber cage mounts were added along with new internal Koni shock bump stops. An aluminum rear differential cover was added with a Cometic cover gasket and fresh Redline lube. Results: An E-type that doesn't drip fluids on the ground!! In 2012 the engine in car was freshened by honing cylinder bores, cleaning/ coating pistons with ceramic crowns and coated side skirts. New Hastings piston rings were installed. That cylinder head was at that time cleaned, CC'd for chamber volume balance, checked for straightness, valve springs checked, full valve job and pressure check. new Cometic head gasket installed. Lighter weight tappets installed. Also, in 2012, a new Cometic engine sump gasket was installed as was a new rear crankshaft seal and some various engine rubber hoses. In 2013 the original style SU fuel pump was repalced with the same, onlt rebuilt for ethanol fuels. An inline electronic fuel pump was added for "on the go" redundancy. All non-metal fuel lines replaced with better lines. In 2015 one road wheel was re-trued and one spoke replaced. Also, four new 205/ 15" tires mounted with new tubes and balanced. 2015, New front brake rotors (Willwood: Spec 37) and replaced front brake pads. Wheel bearings checked/ adjusted. Brake and clutch fluids replaced. Steering column bush replaced. Front / rear brake balance adjusted. Upper front ball joints replaced. Vehicle alignment was checked and toe in adjusted. Alignment specs available/ included in documents.Installed new/ stock instrument panel lamps. Uprated flasher and turn signal switches. June 2015: New ITG megaflow air filter and oil/ oil filter change before sitting up for summer now. The engine oil is changed allot 1) to stay clean preventing wear on engine and 2) so gasoline and contaminants that mix with the oil don't adversely affect engine wile sitting during summer down time. This vehicle, over the last 20 years has been specified to enhance performance, drive-ability and safety through modern E-type specific upgrades that ensure pleasure of driving without undue compromise to noise, suspension compliance or engine tractability in traffic. All of this has been done without blatant compromise to this vehicle’s excellence in its original design. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE

Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1973 Jaguar E-Type OTS 4-speed manual. Stunning color combination in dark blue over tan leather interior. A low-mileage mostly original example with a long-term owner of nearly 30 years. One older repaint shows well overall but has minor crazing in a few areas -- most noticeable on the cowl on the driver's side (see photos). Panels are straight and there is zero known rust topside or underneath. Original floor pans, rockers, etc. in excellent shape. Bumpers, trim, chrome, glass and convertible top are all in very good condition. Attractive wire wheels in excellent condition with newer Pirelli P5s. Interior is believed to be original; carpets, door panels, seats and dash are excellent. Minor wear on the door armrests. Gauges are working; original AM/FM radio is still fitted. Original keys, owner's manual, maintenance charts and tools included. Runs and drives very well. Clutch, gearbox, steering and brakes feel good; transmission was rebuilt 6,000 miles ago; brake lines recently replaced. 5.3 liter V12 is silky smooth and makes excellent power. Fast, comfortable, smooth on the highway at 80 mph. A joy to drive, especially with the manual gearbox, and still one of the most beautiful cars ever built.
