1954 Chevrolet 5 window, 3100, short bed, step side half-ton truck. Just finished a year-long nut and bolt, frame-off restoration. Photos of the build are available. No rust, even in corner pockets. Starts instantly, runs very well, handles correctly and rides smoothly, with Michelin radials, gas shocks and alloy wheels. Automatic, 350 Small block, Power disk brakes, stock suspension. Frame is unmodified. Open drive-line with 10 bolt Eton posi rear. Paint is fresh, everything is new or refurbished. Body is straight as a string, good shut lines, shiny. Among many other things: New tinted glass in doors, wings and windshield. Original glass in three rear windows. New carpets, mats (with sound proofing) door cards, handles, locks, wind lace, seals, etc. Gauges work, new speedometer, with GM adapter to correct speedometer. New glove box, lighter, temp gauge, etc. Parking brakes work 1986 production 350 4 bolt main crate engine, rebuilt with hypereutectic pistons, RV cam, new everything inside. 1.94 heads, Weiand aluminum intake, Edelbrock Model 1405 (600 cfm) 4 bbl carburetor, new pipes, wrapped exhaust, two new glass packs. New electronic ignition distributor, fuel pump, etc. K&N element. 16 inch thermostatically controlled electric fan, with shroud, on the new polished aluminum radiator. Runs 175-185 degrees at all times. Transmission rebuilt, 3 speed, new floor shifter. Rebuilt 12 volt alternator. Brakes are disk Camaro type. 5 lug Chevy wheels front and back, Corvette 7 inch power booster with dual master cylinder located under floor, with adjustable proportioning valve for fine tuning the braking system. Every wire on the truck is new. All lights, turn signals and gauges work. New gas tank, sender, etc. All new rubber, door latches, locks, seals, windlace, glove box, etc. Spray bed-liner and new bed wood, plus LOTS of stainless steel bolts. Driven less than 20 miles since complete rebuild as of posting of the ad. This design is the last of the first series trucks. The rarest of the 'Advanced Design' Chevrolet trucks, these single windshields, unique grill trucks were only in production from 1954 to early 1955, just 16 months, ending the first series. I purchased this vehicle in the mid-90's from an estate in NY. It is my understanding the vehicle was used to take produce from the farm to the farmers market in town during the summer months. When not being used for that, it was stored in the barn with the tractor. Since I purchased the vehicle, it has always been garaged. Was used as weekend driver, only in good weather. The interior is brown; seat is rust color. There are no tears in the upholstery. Body style is a step side; wooden rails as seen in pictures simply lift out of pockets. Spare tire mounts underneath; all brackets are there. I would be happy to show the vehicle to anyone before it is purchased. This is a smoke-free vehicle. The buyer must arrange for pick up.

Called the Advance Design Series, the trucks were sleeker and slightly bigger than their predecessors. First available for sale in June 28, 1947 and sold through March 25, 1955, the trucks went through gradual changes in styling and options during that period. This 1953 Chevrolet 3100 Step Side Pickup Truck is a nothing short of a work of art. The Metallic Green paint is immaculate and the same goes for the wood-slat bed and chrome finishes, including the Chevy “steely” hubcaps. The interior is also pristine with a custom tan leather bench seat, door panels, and headliner; all three have matching leather stitching. Other noteworthy features include a freshly restored Inline 6-cylinder engine, smooth 3-on-the-tree manual transmission, foot starter, and a split windshield (1953 was the last year for the split windshield). This truck is reliable and willing to please at any car show. It runs and drives extremely well and every detail has been considered in the restoration. Trying this again, had a couple offers but just not close enough so I'm lowering the buy it now price to $31K! This is one BAD ASS 1958 Chevy Apache step side truck with air ride suspension (Shockwaves) with dual switches F/R. The front end slams an inch from the ground!! Very strong 396 BIG BLOCK, ceramic coated headers, Eldebrock intake under a Don Garlitts N600 Fuel Injection Air intake with a Demon 850 carb. Rebuilt TH400 trans, Ford 9” narrowed rear w/Moser axles and drum brakes, custom made Billet Specialties wheels, 15x15 and 15x8 with very FAT MT tires, dropped front spindles with disc brakes. The newly painted interior (down to metal and painted with flat silver) has a chrome custom tilt steering column w/vintage SS steering wheel, bad ass Brian Kilduff lightning rod shifter, custom dash w/push to start and battery kill switch, dual compressor switches, custom gauges, and newly covered bench w/seat belts. All new wiring harness with very bright “under the truck” reverse lights. Push and pull electric fans to help keep this big motor cool on the hottest summer days. The body is in excellent condition. This truck had very little rust and what it had was replaced with steel. The bed was removed and totally rebuilt with rolled stamped steel completely welded as one unit for strength. It’s as solid as you can make it and was sprayed with bed liner so it will last forever. It has a custom made locking tool box which houses the fuel cell, new Optima Red top battery, air tank, compressors, solenoids and switches. I’m not in to shiny paint jobs and love the look it has now, so if you don’t like it paint it! All new door seals and glass and the windshield is in excellent condition with no scratches or cracks. This truck is very fast and is a tribute to old school drag racing with custom made wheelie bars that raise and lower with the air suspension, the rear goes up they go down and visa versa. Built as a driver with power steering and power brakes and gets a TON of attention wherever it goes. Not interested in trades at this time, need to make room in my garage for an old gasser I bought. This is a completely off frame restored Pre War 1/2 ton Chevy. The paint is a perfect 10. The Black has a nice blue metal flake. Restored to original, everything works, running lights, parking lights, horn, and all gauges. The instrument panel is restored and works like new. All steel truck with the exception of the rear fenders. Some of the pictures are during the restoration, it does have front and rear bumpers. It has both windshield wipers. The window crank outs work freely with little effort. Vent works as intended. The wood in the bed is perfect and looks great. I replace the rear end gears for high way driving, 60 mph is no problem. A real looker, always wins at the car shows.
