Had a 1980's full restoration and has been sitting for last 20 years in a barn in ND. Runs great, changed all the fluids. Cleaned everything put a new battery in and runs like it did back in the 60's.Very fun car to drive Minor dings on it, nothing terrible that wouldn't be easy to fix.Monza spider convertible is pretty rare now days. Definitely a head turner when driving down the road.

Relisting due to no response winning bidder and flaking buyer, but seeing as this seems to be an increasing occurrence here on ebay unfortunately for all sellers, I am going to relist this one as a static buy it now. Thanks and onwards! I am EXTRAORDINARILY excited to offer for a sale this beautiful, rare, 1964 Chevrolet Corvair Monza Spyder Convertible. It has been well cared for, drives like a DREAM and looks absolutely stunning in Goldwood Yellow over Black vinyl. This is a long ad, but please be sure to read the entire thing - there is a lot of wonderful detail to cover! Let's dive right in! Background: We all know the background on the Corvair: feeling pressure to fill a gap for smaller cars in the American market, Chevy, led by general manager Ed Cole, pushed the now famous Corvair through to production for the 1960 model year. It offered a number of differences then anything else the Big 3 were producing like a unibody frame, rear mounted horizontal air cooled engine, a small sporty stance and super sleek body. Corvairs came in a variety of flavors from coupes, to sedans, to forward control style vans and pickups. But one of the stand out models of any of the Corvairs offered was the very rare Monza Spyder Convertible. So what made this car so special? Chevy had done reasonably well with the convertible Corvair selling ~31,000 of them in standard Monza trim in 1964. But this Monza was upgraded from the factory to a Monza Spyder and that one little word makes all the difference. Gracing the engine bay of the pretty convertible was a turbo charged version of the Chevy flat-6 engine that produced upwards of 70 more horsepower than the stock 80hp engine! 150hp from a drop top, small Chevy made this little beauty a sight to behold AND a treat to drive. Because many people were looking for a more economical car when purchasing the Corvair, not many Monza Spyders sold in their short run for the additional $317 it cost to check the Spyder box. About 4,700 cars were sold, with only a fraction remaining today! The Spyder offered not just the engine, but revised gauges, custom badging and bespoke trim So let's chat more about this car specifically! Made in October of 1964 and ordered in the stunning pastel known as Goldwood Yellow, this car looks remarkably sporty over its black vinyl interior. The top, also black, completes the overall look. Paired with the boosted engine was the optional 4 speed transmission, making this a wonderful car to drive! This car is part of a major private collection featuring some very significant marques. It has been cared for in house and kept in ready to drive condition by a large team. It sits beside other Corvairs within the collection: a Greenbriar, sedan and wagon. Check out the below featured Cover Story from Classic & Sports Car Magazine on this very Corvair and its stable mates in the collection! This car is part of a greater enjoyment and celebration of all things Corvair, not just a one off purchase. The Condition and Service: Let's start on the engine and drivetrain: -ENGINE This engine comes to life immediately with a twist of the key. With even a crack of the throttle it, the Corvair feels torquey, smooth and powerful, and effortlessly pulls away! More then a leisurely drive? Keep your foot in it and the real thrill of the engine comes to life! The turbo is in its sweet spot of building boost and you comfortably and quickly pull away from your fellow drivers. The sound of that flat 6 with a hint of turbo noise whooshing behind you reminds you very quickly how special this car really is. ZERO air/fuel issues, ZERO detonation, ZERO black smoke, ZERO hesitations or flat spots. Check out the underside pics and the engine bay pics! -TRANSAXLE The 4 speed transmission is in FANTASTIC shape. Tight, confident shifts. NO grinds, NO syncro issues. The shifter eases into gear without any drama. -SUSPENSION No bangs, no rough ride, no clunks! The shocks dampen wonderfully! The car is tight in corners, and comfortable on the straights! -BRAKES Confident pedal, great pressure with a firm positive stop. Shoes and drums have good life in both front and rear and feel fantastic! -STEERING Steering feels good, no excessive play or vibrations. Let's continue to the exterior: -PAINT and BODY The paint is VERY nice! It is a 8 out of 10 easily. Shiny, beautiful, Goldwood Yellow paint was recently polished, finished and waxed and looks wonderful. Car was repainted in the reasonably recent past and shines nicely. No signs of a bondo job, accidents, or rust. The flaws are so minor they are essentially unnoticeable unless someone points them out. Some very minor overspray in little insignificant areas, small chips or touch ups, and other such minor flaws. I can only see some of these extremely minor flaws from certain angles and I can't capture it in pictures well, but I have included below any of the photographable flaws. This car presents as a "Driver +", to some perhaps a "Show -". Clean floors and no rust lurking around. The trunk floor has a couple areas where the splatter paint has chipped and there is some light surface oxidation (photoed below). -WHEELS In 1964, the 13" Kelsey Hayes wire wheels were a $900 option! Thankfully, to save yourself the headaches of finding a set to complete the ideal Corvair, this yellow beauty already features a set! These wheels when they come for sale are VERY expensive. The wheels present well, shine bright and look nice! Some minor flaws, chipping of chrome, light surface oxidation at those chips, etc, but nothing significant to take away from the overall beauty of the wheels and the car. -TIRES Plenty of tread left on the 175/80/13 tires! -BUMPERS and BRIGHT WORK The bumpers are in wonderful shape! No dents, cracks or issues! Chrome is nice all around the car with only minor flaws. -GLASS/WINDOWS Not to let a pebble defeat this car, the windshield is great shape, with no chips or sandblasting. The door and rear glass is wonderful shape! Clear and clean! -CONVERTIBLE TOP The top is in nice shape! No tears or splits and very flexible and not brittle. The black top shines nice in the sun! The rear window is reasonably clear. If 1 was destroyed and 10 was crystal clear, I would call this a 7+ or 8-. No tears, very soft and pliable, but just a touch of sun fade. Still easy to see through when driving and does not obscure vision nor take away from the car. The latches snug up nicely and line up very nicely with the dowel pins when putting the top up. With a touch of a button, the top hides away! No issues with the mechanism! Onto the cabin: -SEATS The Black vinyl seats are in great shape! No splits, no worn spots! Just wonderful soft vinyl! To my belief they are the original seat coverings and look 9/10 on condition! They are comfortable and the dual buckets look great! Rear seats are in great shape as well! -DASHBOARD ZERO cracks. Beautiful shape!! -DOOR PANELS Very nice what appear to be original panels, wonderful map pockets and armrest! -CARPET Very nice carpet in the car! No heel wear or stains! -WINDOWS All windows roll down and up with no issues. Good tracks and no dead rollers. -RADIO Original radio looks great, but is not working. Have not had this checked out because a turbocharged flat 6 sounds much better than anything on AM :) -STEERING WHEEL The wheel is in great shape with no major defects or cracking! -GAUGES All the gauges work! RPM, speedo, boost, fuel and temp all read loud and clear! The Experience: This Corvair is a dream to drive. It is tight, very comfortable, very quick, nimble and smooth. It has all the power it had from the factory and then some, and from even a little gas is torquey and responsive. It is so easy to fall in love with this Spyder. Two latches and a button and the top is down. One twist of the key and she is whistling away behind you! Rowing the gears of this Corvair with the wind in your hair and the 150hp turbo engine rocketing you along is one of the best experiences for early 60's American motoring. There were so few cars like the Corvair and certainly no true peers in the American market. I find myself in odd cars all of the time, from the hyper expensive and rare, to the quirky, to the mundane. This Corvair seemingly always gets more thumbs up and questions then any other car. In a short drive just to photo it the other day I think I was stopped/waved at a half dozen times. There is something about a Corvair! And that feeling is even greater as a driver then an onlooker. I hope you can tell by my long ad that this car is an wonderful and beautiful Corvair Spyder. This really is a very special car to drive and with the ongoing care within the collection, it is a worry free Corvair, ready to be enjoyed for the second half of summer and fall! Feel free to ask me any questions at all. Residents around the country I am happy to be flexible for your arranged shipper so that you can get your new car as soon as possible. My standard disclaimer/mantra for any car regardless of service or price: The car is sold with no warranty. You are buying a used car. Eventually every car will break, if you find one that doesn't please let me know. I do my ABSOLUTE BEST to offer only cars that are of TOP NOTCH service. I am not a dealer, just a guy who loves Corvair (among other cars) and hope to pass along my passion and fervor for these cars. That said if ever you encounter an issue I do my best to provide advice, direction or even parts if I have them. Please understand that it is a used car and will have minor signs of use. That means please do not expect a showroom brand new car. Please adjust your expectation level to that of a 50+ year old car, but however is WELL above average for it's year/miles. This is very nice condition for a Corvair of this year, but please just remember that no 50 year old car is perfect. It is though a great Corvair! Please only bid if you intend to buy. If you would like to have an Ebay 3rd party mechanic service check out the car I MORE than welcome it. Please have the car checked out BEFORE bidding and not after, if you intend to use that service. And please, if you would like to utilize this service, contact me with more than a couple days left in the auction so we can arrange schedules. Please check your local laws and registration procedures before buying. Buying over the internet can be scary sometimes! I get it, because I am an enthusiast too!! For that very reason, I am more than happy to answer every and any question you may so you know 100% what you are buying. But, please ask any and all questions ahead of purchase! All sales are final, you are buying as-is, the sky is blue, etc, etc. Sorry to have to give the boring speech. Please feel free to ask any and all questions!! "Corvair: You can't imagine how joyous a compact car can be!"

Hello to all Ebayers! I have very little feedback but I've been with EBay for several years and I want to keep my reputation with EBay at 100%. I bought this car with the intention of bringing it to California but I currently do not have enough storage to hold onto it. I really like the color combination which is why I bought this car. I recently lost a storage location so I'm not able to keep this one. I have not seen the car myself and these pictures are approximately 2 months old. I am willing to let it go at a very reasonable price. This Corvair is located in a Copart facility in Austell, Georgia. I have a clear Indiana title that will be mailed to the buyer. PRICED TO SELL !!! Here is the description I have from the previous owner: "For Sale is a a project I had been working on since 06. This is not a rust-free car. The body looks great. Underneath has some imperfections but nothing major and it is derivable. Car runs and drives strong. This Corvair has a 4 speed manual transmission. Shifts great and clutch works great. Doors shut smoothly. It has been on the road for around 5 years. I rebuilt the brakes. Has updated electric charging Alternator . Convertible Top is new. Seats are new. Carpet is new, I installed fiberglass pans front and back. The wheels are 14' Nissan Iron Crosses, tires are excellent. Comes with a few extra parts, like Hub Caps, lens's, starters, heater parts, more red carpet, etc." This is your chance to own this Chevy Corvair for a very reasonable price. If you'd like to contact me send me an Ebay Message with your phone number and I can contact you. Otherwise feel free to ask questions through Ebay Message. I want to make sure that you are satisfied with your purchase. Please bid with confidence and if you have any questions that I might not have covered in the description, please don’t hesitate to ask. You can email me or send me your phone number and I will give you a call. I will help arrange shipping. You can try United Auto Transport for shipping. They’re a very reliable company. Call 800-963-5505 to receive a quote for transport. I’m able to store it for a couple of weeks after purchase is made if you need time lining it up. Keep in mind she’s over 50 years old. I’m not a dealer, just passionate about classic cars and trucks. Please be ready to buy when you click. A non refundable $500 deposit is due at purchase and final payment within 7 days. Balance is to be paid by wire or a certified bank cashier’s check. Check will need to clear before the car will be released and title is sent. The winning bidder needs to contact me within 24 hours of auction end to make payment arrangements. Please arrange all financing prior to bidding. If you are not sure about something please ask! Do not assume anything. All non-paying high bidders will be reported to EBay. General Information: The information that I have is from the previous owner. It is your responsibility to inspect the car or send a third party inspector for your satisfaction. Remember this is a 51 year old car and can have some imperfections that are not in the description that I am not aware of. As with most pre-owned vehicles, minor wear may be discernible and degree of wear is often related to age of the vehicle such as but not limited to: scuffs, scratches, dings, dents, fading, paintwork, minor rock chips, and other imperfections. This is your chance to own this great classic.

I will try to describe as best I can. Up for sale is my 1965 Chevrolet Corvair Corsa Turbo Convertible. I purchased it about two years ago and have not done a whole lot to it. Prior to my purchase it had a frame up ( NOT FRAME OFF ) restoration. It is good condition but not a true show car. Great weekender. I have taken it to local shows with rave reviews. A true show car would be more than twice this price. I had the shifter tightened so the gears line up a bit better and a new wiper motor added because the ones that come with the vehicles are so slow as to be useless. There are a few paint chips. Three or four and no dings. The boot cover for the roof, when down, is probably original but is in pretty bad shape. Top operates as it should & locks both up or down. Photos tell most of the story other than that. Contact me at (904) 759-0504 - Richard

1965 Chevy Corvair CORSA Convertible Turbo all original non-molestedPlease read below for rust issues and overall condition. Original Car that was believed to be a one owner since new, up until it was discovered in South Jersey in a shed back in January of this year. It has been off the road since 1989 and the odometer states 56,000 miles, speedometer was working until I changed some bulbs in the dash. I cant verify if the mileage is true, but the car runs strong, without any smoke or noise. I put all new brakes, lines and hoses (complete system) in it. Flushed fuel system and replaced lines and had Carb completely rebuilt. New shocks and brand new radial tires all the way around. (All receipts available). NO SMOKE NO LEAKS! This CORSA runs like the day it rolled off the assembly line! No oil leaks or smoke, It's a powerful, fast little car with a lot of KICK! And it's un-restored and un-molested. It's running with all AC parts that came with it (new in the box) AC Gas and AC air filter, and the correct AC plugs! Interior is mint! Seats are like new, padded dash is perfect, the rug is fair, (faded) but respectable. It has the Original working AM/FM slide-bar radio, brand new power top, and optional 4-way emergency flasher system. All chrome and bright work are perfect, no pitting on door handles or bumpers. I have replacement wheel lip molding for PS-R. Almost everything can be cleaned up and used successfully! Floor pans are SOLID, as are the inner rockers, and the driver sider rocker; the trunk is perfect. There is rust in the sheet metal, as is common with these Corvair's. I've shone the rust in the pictures; all the patch panels are available from Clarks at a very reasonable cost. This would be the perfect father and son project! As you can see exactly what you are getting into. No bondo, no cover up, no BS. Just a straight original (Rare) car. Check out the ads for CORSA TURBO's that have been re done. There going between $10-13K for some-what decent cars with. Mint, CORSA turbo convertibles are going towards the mid $20k's on eBay. These cars are just beginning to come into their own, and there weren't a lot of turbo convertibles built that are within reach of the common man any more. SO here is your chance to get into a nice little runner and driver that you can enjoy now and work on in the winter months! I'm looking for a good home for this car, so if you are serious, call me and discuss. I've tried to describe the car to the best of my ability, but if your interested you should see it in person or send some one who knows about Corvair's to looks for you. Engine S/N T0325RL Asking $6250 or best offer. If you have questions ask now, not after you bid. Thanks for looking,

This is a rare find, a great vintage 1962 Corvair Monza convertible. This has 38,000 original miles and has been stored for many years. It has an automatic transmission, blue interior ,and drives well. It does need a new convertible top and some tender loving care. I have the muffler but it needs to be replaced. The car is in generally good condition for a vintage car that is 53 years old, but it does need some love and attention. As you can see from the pictures there is some paint chipping, and some normal wear and tear. Besides the 4 Monza hubcaps on the car there are four additional vintage Monza hubcaps and some other parts. I also have the original 1962 license plates. This is a wonderful vintage car, and with a little work could be a great show or parade car. It is located in Iowa and available for inspection anytime. $500 due at time of purchase, and the rest is due within 72 hours. Please e-mail with questions.

For Sale is a a project, more like a basket case, I had been working on since 06. This is not a rust-free car. Had a broken motor due to a 63' jug on motor, replaced with a 64'. I used freshly machined 63' heads with thicker gaskets. The car codes for a Auto. transmission, but has a 4 speed Manual. It has been wrecked on driver side door and rear 1/4, deep scrape along the middle. It has solid doors that shut smooth. Engine needs rubber seal finished in places, I have the 64' bracket. It has been on the road for around 5 years. I rebuilt the brakes, could use all new hoses and a flush. No heater, I have some parts. Has updated electric charging Alternator . Convertible Top is new. Seats are new. Carpet is new, I installed fiberglass pans front and back. I painted it myself and the front is done with spray cans. The wheels are 14' Nissan Iron Crosses, tires are excellent. Overall it needs a some finishing touches , like paint the whole car white. I killed all the rust I found with POR 15 and used fiberglass filler, mostly around the rear wheels and has started to crack. Comes with a few extra parts, like steel rims, lens's, heater parts, etc. Cant trade for anything. I am moving in a few months and I want to start a Late Model too. Thank You.

I have owned this corvair for 15 years..... in that time I have given it a $6500 paint job and within the last few years a rebuilt motor.....rebuilt 4 speed trans....replaced clutch....new top and window ... New clarks interior (seats & carpets).....battery and complete brake job with master cylinder.... This has been my favorite of my collection of classic cars and is always kept in a heated indoor garage.... I could have sold this corvair 2 times in the last month , but I resisted doing so . Now I am definitely relocating and must thin out my collection .. My corvair is a great " head turner" and gets more attention than any of my other cars.... How often do you see a red corvair convertible on the road today ...... Not very often and especially a corvair that looks as sharp as this one!! Of all my collection this corvair is by far the most reliable and I truly believe that It can be driven cross country without any issues. It is just that great of a car !!! The four speed shifts great and the 110 HP motor afford plenty of power and pep , as well as great gas mileage ..... The original radio plays well. . An original 50 yr old tachometer is installed in the. Car , but does not come with the sale of the car. Original corvair wire caps in great shape are included ...any question please call me at (732). 513-4322. Troy
