1970 Chevrolet C10 *CST* aftermarket AIR ~ factory tach~ PS/PB EXTERIOR:The C10 has a very straight body with a driver quality paint job that is holding up well. The chrome and trim are in great shape as are the bumpers. The windows roll up and down with ease and the glass is all in good shape. The truck has LED taillights and all of the blinkers/lights work. The CST is very solid overall. INTERIOR:The truck features the deluxe interior and factory tachometer gauge cluster. Another awesome feature is the aftermarket air conditioning that blows cold and is ready to keep you cool this summer. The headliner, seats and door panels are all in excellent shape and all of the gauges work and read fairly accurately. A previous owner installed dynamat under the carpet which quietens down the cab exceptionally well. MECHANICAL:This particular C10 drives down the road more effortlessly than any C10 I’ve driven in some time. The power steering and power brakes combine with a flawless 350 SBC and TH350 transmission to make for a very enjoyable pickup. The aforementioned AC only enhances the experience. 1970 Chevy C10 Custom Sport Truck (CST): The most popular Chevrolet trucks with collectors are those built between 1967 and 1972. Several factors explain the collector popularity of these trucks. First, they're just damn good looking! To many, the lines of Chevy pickups in this styling series, particularly the 1969-1972 models, are a "classic" expression of what a pickup truck should look like. Second, with this series Chevrolet offered truly carlike interiors, complete with color-coordinated carpeting on the floor. Third, all power accessories once found only on cars were now available on light trucks. A pickup from this "Integrated Styling" series could be equipped with air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, AM/FM radio - virtually any accessory you could find on a car. Forth, and perhaps best of all, with Chevrolet's all-coil spring suspension, pickups of this series offered a ride as smooth as that of a Chevy Bel Air sedan. Fifth, as an added bonus, Chevrolet equipped its light trucks with a range of engines and transmission options that was nearly as wide as could be found in any of the company's car lines. Buyers could fit their truck out for miserly fuel economy with a faithful six and three-speed transmission, or as an interstate cruiser with a high-powered V-8 and automatic transmission. This beautiful Chevy was purchased from it's original owner and arrived here to Texas in better condition that we anticipated. We originally purchased this ??C10? with the intention of ditching the camper and giving it a more modern look. But, when it arrived we discovered it was a total 70's time capsule! From the CB radio to the custom camper to the side pipes ... this one is just too retro to mess up. The original two-tone Medium Green & White paint was repainted about 10 years ago and is showing some imperfections. Otherwise, this truck is just as nice and authentic as you can find. Besides being a 1 owner vehicle, the 2nd best highlight is that this C10 only has 88k miles from new! In a close tie for "2nd best highlight" is the complete documentation which the owner kept over the last 45 years. This documentation includes the; factory buildsheet, warranty info (with Protect-o-plate still attached), owners manual, period marketing pieces, and extensive service records. We even received the installation manual for the CB radio antenna along with half a dozen CB radio related books (CB Channel Directory, CB Slang, etc). The factory original green vinyl bench and other interior components are in excellent condition. The dash is uncut with the original Delco™ radio and a cool 70's Realistic™ CB mounted just below. As visible on the SPID tag in the glove box, this is a nicely optioned CST that, with exception of the camper top, rims and exhaust, is very factory original. This C10 needs nothing and we wouldn't hesitate to jump in it and drive it anywhere. It starts easily, shifts smoothly, stops like it should, and does great at highway speeds. 1970 CHEVROLET C-10 CST Vintage Autohaus & Imports is proud to present this very popular 70 model pick-up. The truck in general was a very straight rust free piece before the restoration was done. The paint is done in Chevrolet red orange and shows very well. The interior is done in black with hounds-tooth inserts with factory bucket seats and console. The truck is equipped with P/S, P/B, Cold Factory Air, tilt steering column. The engine is a 350 cu in. engine backed up by a turbo 350 transmission. Engine is dressed with an aluminum intake, finned valve cover and K&N air cleaner. Wheels are the factory Rally’s with 275/60/15 tires with 90% rubber. Dual exhaust system is new. All of the glass in the truck looks new as well. All chrome and stainless trim are in very presentable condition. The engine runs strong with a new feel drive.
