Texas Best Used Motorcycles | eBay Template 817.985.8888 2850 N Main, Mansfield, Texas 76063 www.TexasBestUsedMotorcycles.com Open Tues-Sat from 9:00am-6:00pm DESCRIPTION You are looking at a real cool 1959 Chevy El Camino, the build cost was over $100,000 and several years to complete, it was a Good Guys show winner. This car is a play and show car, not a daily driver. The motor is a 1962 409 with dual 4bbl carbs, it was pulled apart a built by Dave Plubell and was machined .030 over, crane hydraulic cam installed; the 690 heads received a set of Crane performance valves and springs with Crane 1.75 roller rockers. The 409 crank was ground.030 inches. The connecting rods were magna-fluxed, inspected, then shot peened. The result is 425 hp on premium pump gas, has the sound and power you would expect plus the ability to run the vintage air system. The Lenco 4 speed is the ultimate over kill, with the Mcleod two disc clutch its built to withstand up to 1200hp. Its fun to operate, no clutch needed to power shift between gears, it has a sun gear, planetary set up, just plain bullet proof. The sub frame was modified to handle 425 hp. It has two inch drop spindles up front and coil overs in the rear with a four link built by Peyton Chassis. The airride technologies pneumatic springs allow the ride height to be lowered or raised by the push of a button. The wheels are 15x7" Torque thrust in the front and 15x15" in the rear. The bed was covered by blond Kaboom Veneer separated by polished stainless stringers and tinted to match the body color. The body was prepped, made laser straight and covered with PPG fire mist orange, the body moldings were airbrushed on by Rodney Hutchison in Houston Texas, incredible three dimensional body molding and emblems. Craig Ward of forever Texas did the full custom interior, with a leather console to house the 5 lenco shifters. The Dakota digital gauges were installed inside the unique factory gauge bezels. The flip down ash tray exposes the air ride technology control panel. A chromed I did it steering column is capped with a 14" leather covered billet specialties' steering wheel. The vintage a/c keeps the interior cool and the Ron Francis wiring harness links everything together. The previous owner spent many years in the drag racing circuit and this dream car still gave him the feel for those glory days in this pro street El Camino without his eyes burning from nitro. Dressed up in bright trim, flashy paint jobs, and with that dramatic cantilevered roof and gullwing tailfins, there was simply nothing else like it on the road, then or now. With a few smart upgrades, there's no doubt that this first El Camino is destined for great things. Chevy's styling was all-new in 1959, and they didn't hold back, even on their first foray into personal-sized pickups. Available with any color combination, this one looks '50s spectacular in Roman Red with Snowcrest White on the side trim to highlight the car's most dramatic styling features. Painted several years ago, it still looks good with a wonderful period-perfect shine, great panel fit, and super straight bodywork, this one will unquestionably be a hit everywhere it goes. El Caminos received Bel Air trim, including the side strip with white insert, and 'El Camino' script on the front fenders where 'Bel Air' would ordinarily live. The massive wrap-around rear window is unique to this model and is in excellent shape (fortunately), and the bed features a spray-on bedliner so it's still happy to work on weekends. Trim, chrome, and stainless all shows in great shape, and even the rubber bumper tips are excellent. Experts will note that the interior is also done to Bel Air specifications, with two-tone red and black upholstery on the bench seat, plush black carpets, and color-matched door panels, but nobody is going to complain after they see how awesome it looks in person. The instruments are all laid out ahead of the driver, each gauge living in its own round pod, with the auxiliary gauges flanking a large centrally-mounted speedo, and all the markings are sharp and crisp and a set of auxiliary gauges hang underneath. The original AM radio lives in the center of the dash, although it's been supplanted by an AM/FM/CD stereo head unit with a separate amplifier powering speakers throughout the interior. There's also a neatly installed A/C system with vents under the dash and new components under the hood. Sitting behind the wheel, it is easy to forget you have a full pickup bed behind you that's capable of hauling more than a half-ton of gear. The engine is a 350 cubic inch V8, but thanks to the ubiquity of the small block Chevy, it slid under the hood of the Elky without issues. It's got a chrome air cleaner and matching valve covers as well as Chevy Orange on the block, so there's no disputing what it is. There's also a high-output alternator, factory-style A/C hardware, power steering and power disc brakes, and long-tube headers dumping into a new dual exhaust system. The transmission is a TH350 3-speed automatic and the stock rear end still hangs on its original coil springs, making this one of the best-riding pickups you'll ever drive. It runs and drives extremely well and the upgraded powerplant moves the classic El Camino with effortless ease that not even the top 348 could manage in 1959. Sure, we all love their unbeatable combination of performance and practicality, but to take one to this level, give it a wicked stance and a bright red paint job, well, that's something you don't see all that often and certainly not at this price. This car attracts a ton of attention, and suspecting that would be the case, the guys who built it spent a ton of extra time on the details. This isn't your average, run-of-the-mill beater Elky, this one was a super-clean original car that was taken to the next level by guys who seemed to really care about their work. Gaps are excellent, and the two-stage urethane paint is about a mile deep, even up close. Look closely and you'll appreciate the traditional appearance upgrades like the cowl induction hood and hard-shell tonneau cover and the stainless trim that outlines the fender arches looks fantastic. Nice chrome bumpers, a stock grille, and tinted windows blend stock and modified seamlessly and the bed is protected by a heavy-duty rubber mat, so don't be afraid to use it as intended. It's still pretty stock inside, where a clean factory style Saddle Tan interior is the ideal complement to the fabulous red bodywork. That's the original bench, now wearing two-tone seat covers that are a twist on the original setup. The factory dash was retained, including the stock instruments, but there's a full array of auxiliary gauges stashed underneath. Those are probably the original door panels, but the carpets are newer and protected by a set of heavy-duty rubber mats. Entertainment comes courtesy of a Pioneer AM/FM/CD stereo head unit, and you'll note that this is a factory A/C car, whose system blows cold thanks to an R134a refrigerant upgrade. A 350 cubic inch Chevy crate motor is the right choice, since it bolts right in and makes big power without a lot of fuss. Nicely dressed with chrome valve covers and a matching air cleaner, it's a great way to bring everything up to date. It isn't over done and it's obvious that the focus was on functionality, but nobody will complain after they take a drive. One look underneath will convince you that this has always been a clean truck, and the 700R4 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission is brand new. A new dual exhaust system gives it a great voice, recent air shocks out back allow it to still haul anything you can throw at it, and the lowered stance looks right. 15-inch steel wheels with spinners are fitted with 215/70/15 Yokohama radials that fill the wheel arches nicely. You won't find a cooler El Camino anywhere, and you need a dose of practicality with your V8-powered weekend toy, they don't come much more useful or stylish than this. Please note: I am listing this vehicle for my brother. He owns this beautiful Chevy El Camino and if you have any questions, please contact him at (915) 694-9862 after 6:00 PM Mountain Time. If you call before this time, he will return your call as soon as it is convenient for him. He has owned this car for about 17 years now. It took him about three years to build it to the current condition. It still needs a few cosmetic details such as wipers, speedometer, window seals, dash pad, etc. It has a Sony Radio CD player with amplified sound installed. It is a very streetable vehicle with no overheating or mechanical issues. It has been driven a few times to a nearby nice little town about 200 miles away (Ruidoso, New Mexico) for a yearly car show. It runs smooth and the engine just purrs down the highway. It really is a head-turner vehicle. I wish I could buy this car from my brother, but unfortunately, it is not a good time for me right now. Now the good stuff: It has a 4-Bolt Main 350 cu. in. engine with a high performance cam. 12:1 compression pistons After market Pro-Action heads Tunnel Ram with dual 450 cfm Holley Carburators 10-Bolt differential (unknown gear ratio) 350 Automatic Transmission with a 3000 Stall Converter Brand new radiator Brand new (1 month old) wheels and tires (245/17/60's) all around The engine has between five or six thousand miles in it since rebuilt due to the vehicle been garaged most of the time and my brother being a truck driver and being on the road. It is for this same reason that my brother decided to sell it and let someone enjoy it and continue to do any upgrades as the new owner may wish, the sky is the limit. The paint being about 14 years old is in nice condition and I consider it to be a 9 on a 0 to 10 scale. There are no rust issues in this vehicle other than surface dirt on the undercarriage floors. It also has a nice exhaust pipe system that outputs a great throatty sound. Overall, I wish I could keep this car with us, but like I said, right now it is not feasible. Anyway, I hope I provided sufficient information to peek your interest in this '67 El Camino. If you have any more questions, please feel free to contact my brother Sal at his number (915) 694-9862 at the time mentioned above. My brother Sal is the one who helped my younger brother Rick to build this car. Our brother Rick is the owner and he asked us, Sal and myself to list this vehicle for him. Thanks and good luck... and congratulations to whoever gets to buy this beautiful 1967 Chevy El Camino.

This sweet ride is perfect for a back road drive on a sweet spring day. Perfect for slow rollin' down the street blaring Tops Drop loud enough to make your neighbors turn and look. She and I have had some great times together, but sadly, we must part ways. She's super clean, and well maintained. Her engine was rebuilt in 2012 and has less than 1,000 miles on it since then. Her vinyl was replaced in 2012. Seatbelts were re-threaded in 2013. The master cylinder was rebuilt earlier this month, so she can stop on a quarter as she was meant to do. I added a new stereo system with a subwoofer so you can make your guts vibrate while you're cruisin' and taking pride in your ride like every playa should. She's in SW Houston and looking for her next forever home, hoping it is you.
