Up for auction is a 1975 Volkswagen Rabbit 2 door . I Traded this vehicle for a debt owed and I will do my best to describe it as best as I can. The car showes 90945 miles on odo the previous owner states this is accurate as he said he was the third owner but I'm unable to prove this to be positive. I've enjoyed driving this car but I simply don't have the room for it. The car runs great being it's 39 years old has a high idle at times but doesn't smoke and if it leaks any oil it's very small amount it's parked on a dirt driveway and I don't see any major leaks I'm sure it coud use a carb adjustment and tune-up who knows when it was last done. The exhaust is quiet car drives straight and seems tight all gears work with no grinding or pop-out . I did replace both CV half shafts whe I aquired the car that really was the only thing I saw that needed immediate attention. Gas gauge works along with aftermarket temp gauge in cluster by gear shift runs at 200-220 when warm car has electric fan that is on while engine is running . The fan switch for heat-vent had been relocated above a/c- heat controls high-low only . Most of the exterior lights seem to work including the reverse lights . The tail lights are not working might be bulbs but Im unsure on how to remove the bulbs brake lights are working . The brake light inside car stays on more then it's off I think it's a connection with E-brake lever. Interior needs a little attention desk is cracked and front seats are shot from the sun back seat looks good headliner is taped in back along with drivers side door panel. Car still shows most of original paint I noticed a few touch-up spots on hatchback lit and around windshield. The rubber around the back windows is cracked and dry-rotted and could be replaced . You will see surface rust in several spots look a pictures . I don't see any evidence of any accidents or damage . The floorboards and strut towers are solid with no rot. This is a cool looking vintage VW and needs a VW enthusiast owner. Car had clean NM title signed by previous owner and is ready to transfer. If I had the room I would definitely keep this being it's such a fun car to drive . Lastly I'm unsure of motor size i think it's a 1.5 liter.
