Rare 1974 Electric karmann Ghia shipped from Washington State for low rust converted in 2011 with 36ea CALB 130AH cells 3.3V x 36 = 118.8V and can also be used to run lights & power tools when the power goes out. has battery scanner which displays *all* batteries up front, complete schematics also on evdl.org/lib/mh and the EV is on evalbum.com/4346. I drive 48 miles round trip daily to-from work and the range is 50 miles, a mile or two less with the heater (3 blow-dryers) on. The undercarriage pans were replaced, there's some periodic bottom of door rust for a 40 year old car I keep up with and it resides in the garage. A tow bar is included with 4ea spare "bandaid" betteries to get the full 60K miles out of the pack, 3000 cycles according to CALB. Headline is ok but has a few patches (photo). The tires are Prius LRR 45PSI P185/65R15 with mini-spare from Mitsubishi. Stereo has 4 speakers, CD, FM. ODO is ok but no trip ODO. I spent $5k on vehicle, $1.5k to ship, $5k to restore and $15k in parts, 600 hours labor. Am selling to buy another EV since I get bored every 5 years. 66 Karmann ghia, has some rust but honestly not that bad, has good dash with all gauges and original clock. Has all seats, glass is good. Does not have transaxle but not engine, I have engines that can be purchased separately. 1968 Karmann Ghia. Looks and runs great. I've owned it 5 years and it's only been driven about 200 miles- that's why I'm selling it; the wife never drives it. Solid floor pan. I can't tell you anything about the car prior to 2009 besides the fact that it's 46 years old. I've had a lot done to it during the past 5 years. Rebuilt the shifter so it shifts easily, new front brake hoses, had the speedo rebuilt, My German mechanic welded the floor where the hand brake mounts where there was a stress fracture and now it works fine. Horn and wipers work, so do the lights. Runs as good as it looks. Has tool kit and I just ordered a new jack for it. The car is currently registered and insured. I have the California Pink Slip on it. Comes with recently purchased car cover. Has an after-market radio. The Coker Classic whitewalls are like new and still have the little rubber pips on the side. These are 165 size-slightly bigger than the stock tire which I think was a 155. The spare fits under the hood but not down in the spare wheel well.
