Finished in a beautiful deep Blue Metallic paint job shows extremely well with only minor imperfections visible upon close inspection. Front and rear bumpers fit properly and chrome shows extremely well. All trim is present along with some tasteful custom pieces added to complete the custom look. Inside, the tan vinyl seats all look great with no major signs of wear visible. The door panels compliment the seats and dashboard is painted to mirror the exterior of the car. Volkswagen capitalized on the overwhelming popularity of their Beetle by following “the people’s car” with a sporty sister: the Karmann Ghia. Produced from 1956 to 1974, the Volkswagen Karmann Ghia shared the Beetle’s reliable running gear, but its low curb weight meant that the Karmann Ghia could still be a fun drive on the right road. 1971 Karmann Ghia pearl white with rebuilt 1600 single port engine and new Sachs clutch, about 12 miles on it since done. New shocks, new ball joints upper and lower and clean interior.. I had replaced the headliner, dash and door panels. No rust, perfect floor panels and no dents.. Brakes are great, they were completely flushed and filled with all new fluid, also replaced rear left wheel cylinder. Tires have a ton of tread, would make a good daily driver, car always got compliments. Headlights, signals, brake lights, tail lights, reverse lights and horn all work. The pearl white paint is about 10 years old but still shines like crazy, car has always been garaged. There's a few slight cracks or nicks in the paint but doesn't take away from it. She has the original glass on her all the way around so there is normal scratches or scuffs after 44 years. I never bolted the seat belts in they are laying under the backseat. The horn is a push button right of the steering wheel under the dash which for me was waybetter than wired into the steering column, it used to be but like most VW's it would always beep whenmaking a turn. 1969 SHOW QUALITY Karmann Ghia. Complete 3 year project. 1776 motor, paint is amazing, interior is custom, dash is all custom fiberglassed, back seat taken out, key is hidden so you are only one who knows how to start it. Lowered all the way around. 4" shortened beam, as you can see custom wheels and tires. This ain't your Dad's Ghia. Trunk is all done as is engine bay. 1969 Volkswagen Karmann-Ghia A Groovy Kind of Love 1969 Volkswagen Karmann-Ghia Here's something you don't see everyday...a '69 Karmann-Ghia. It's a nice, cute, VW that's mechanically very good. It has been currently used as daily transportation around town. The motor is reliable, starts every time, and has had a recent tune-up/service. The California registration is current and the VW still maintains both CA six-digit blue/gold license plates. This Ghia was recently purchased from its long-time owner who bought the car in Los Angeles back in 1977. After 46 years, this classic VW still rides proudly in the essential Volkswagen tradition of being a simple, well-engineered, and economical vehicle. Exterior is black w/ a light blue top. The paint shines nicely and looks great from a distance. However, it has rust throughout, most notably on driver’s side rocker panel, decklid tops, and underneath on the pan. Finish has large paint chips and many flaws. The VW needs lots of interior work. This includes, but is not limited to: seats, door panels, headliner, dash pad, both window regulators, outer driver side door latch (handle), carpeting, speedometer. 1971 Volkswagen Karman Ghia coupe. Built July 1971 VIN # 1413044684 Good, Clear, Pennsylvania Title. The Odometer shows 52,974 miles but the Title is marked EXEMPT Engine number is AE518467. The engine runs and we have driven the car around our lot. The car is green but was originally orange. The car has the usual rust in the floor and the trunk floor. There were older repairs made to the body with bondo. The interior is Black Vinyl with White vinyl seats. The gauges are in the dash. The radio is a cheap replacement unit. Click to enlarge Exterior: This great Karmen Ghia was treated to a very nice paint job and as you can see from the photos, it looks gorgeous. The body on the car is laser straight and presents beautifully. All of the doors, hood and deck lid all line up beautifully. When looking inside the trunk area and looking at the nose of the car, it appears to be accident free and rust free. The chrome on the car is in excellent condition and has a beautiful shine for being original. There are a couple of minor imperfections on the bumpers that I have taken pictures of but overall the bumpers are nice . The paint shines beautifully and the car presents very nicely. The car was treated to all new lights and lenses on the exterior and look great! Overall the exterior of the car is in excellent conditon! Click to enlarge Interior: The interior of Karmen Ghia is stunning!!! The interior was redone beautifully in an all black theme with contrasting Ferrari Red Stitching. This stitching is not standard size stitch and is the same that is used on Ferraris (which is a larger size than standard). The interior is absolutely beautiful and has been reuhpolstered from floor to ceiling. The headliner is in perfect shape as well. The seats are free of rips, stains, tears and odors as they are brand new. All of the gauges and lights work but the clock. Overall, I would say that the interior is in excellent shape!!! Click to enlarge Engine: The 1600cc engine has been rebuilt in the past and starts up and runs like a top!!! The engine is largely stock and has enough power to propel this car around at modern speeds without any issues. The car runs absolutely great and doesn't smoke on start up or while driving. The car never skips a beat and is really quite a bit of fun to drive. The transmission shifts through all of the gears with ease. The brakes and suspension seem to be in good condition as the car rides, steers and stops GREAT! This really is a great driving Karmen Ghia that can be driven daily or just for fun on the weekends.
