1968 Volkswagen Karman Ghia, Electric Conversion. Vehicle has been restored and is mechanically sound. I've used this vehicle since 2009, and the only maintenance required is cleaning and checking fluid level in batteries every couple of weeks, and replacing batteries. Beautiful 1970 Karmann Ghia with two ton color, dark blue is roof color and silver is body color, has original roof luggage rack, and also above the trunk/hood luggage rack. 15 inch Porsche wheels and practically brand new KUMHO 195/50R15 tires. spare 15 inch Porsche wheel no tire. Also it comes with additional transmission rebuild by previous owner. Previous owner is a member of Clearwater, Florida VW club and has performed body off restoration. Body, pan, and suspension and also has done preservation by reinstalling of original steering wheel, gages, clock, seats, front windshield, both side door windows, both rear side pup-out windows, and rear window. Original service booklet hand written by dealer service rep. Original owner manual. Previous owner has received many trophies for paint, restoration, and preservation. After I received the position of Silver Beauty. Installed a new long block case, and etc., new Eagle W110 racing camshaft, includes the lifters, dual high rev springs, and etc.. New heads with valves, valve covers and etc., Dual DELLORTO 40MM carburetors serviced and tuned. New clutch and assembly and much more. Brake fluid was flushed and serviced, front both calipers and both rear shoes were replaced and serviced. Has valid registration and pink slip. Very low miles on new and fresh engine.

This is an excellent condition early 1969 VW Karmann Ghia convertible with the rare Automatic Stickshift transmission. The Ghia drives and shifts flawlessly. This is a solid body car and is originally from southern California where it spent the majority of its life except for the last few years which were in S. Carolina. I purchased the car in 2014 and I had the car totally gone over mechanically including new brake shoes in the rear, new brake master cylinder, new tires, rebuilt engine with new seals including the automatic transmission, replaced all 4 CV joints, got speedometer and odometer working, new convertible top w /headliner and boot, along with some additional maintenance and repairs. It is not the original engine. The horn does not work and the interior dash lights do not work. All exterior lights work correctly - brakes, brights, hazard, parking, license plate, turn signals, back-up, etc. The interior was re-done by a previous owner and it has nice light blue piping. The interior is in excellent condition. The body has been repainted once, as far as we know, and it is in excellent condition. The car is clean and only has a few dings or scrapes. One dent is on the front bumper. These are shown in the photos. The automatic stickshift transmission works fine. It has reverse, low, first and second. There is no clutch. To switch from first to second you just lift off of the gas pedal, shift, then push the gas pedal. When we received the car the speedometer and odometer were not working. They are both working now but the odometer reading is not correct and we have no way of knowing the correct mileage. When we purchased the car the odometer read 47,019 and the previous owner thought she had not put 10,000 miles on it and we probably haven't put 500 miles on it. The clock is working but not keeping perfect time. The vintage Blaupunkt radio is still there, but not working. There is an under dash Blaupunkt radio with a cassette player in the vehicle but the radio stations often don't come in well. It has a new speaker for when the radio stations do come in well or if you are using a cassette. I just got the car the way I wanted it when I found a car that I wanted more! Non-smoking home. Car runs very well with the exception of noise from the fan rubbing on the housing. Floor pans are in excellent condition with NO RUST. Body is also RUST FREE. All electric items work - emergency flasher, turn signals, dome light, dash lights, wipers. Hood latch and gas door latches work well. Heaters work well. Car has functioning Sony stereo with two Kentwood speakers located in the back panels. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Tires are in good condition. The odometer says 3692, however I personally flipped it once; odometer may have flipped previously. Interior floor un-carpeted, mats only. Original headliner. 51,000 documented original miles,original paint with only minor flaws, no hits on perfect nose, original interior with normal wear but in good shape, original sapphire radio AM/FM radio, new replacement dash pad and facing. Runs and drives very well, no issues at all. New tires chrome wheels, perfect original floors and pans. Ready to drive anywhere. Sure you can buy a restored one for similar money, but where else can you find one like this? You can restore it to perfection, or drive it and enjoy without worry. This is a ton of vintage car fun for a very low price of entry. I am happy to send it to a good home, but I am also happy to keep it if no one else but me sees where these cars are going and how fun they are. Car is sold on a GA bill of sale only, because Titles are not issued to old cars in the state of Georgia. Your state will issue a title with the paperwork provided.
