Up for sale is a project '69 Beetle with AUTOSTICK (somewhat rare option) with some significant work done on it.New work:-New passenger floor pan (body removed from chassis, and new full pan welded in)-Engine machine work (Crankshaft carrier machined; comes with appropriate bearings for cam- and crankshaft). Machine work was done by Jim @ Napa Auto in Soquel. He does complete engine builds as well, I believe.-Emergency brake lines-New CV bootsNew parts included:-Remachined crankshaft + rods-Assorted Autostick seals, tubing, pedal rubber and pump mounting bolts-Rebuilt StarterAll parts taken off the car are included in boxes. Bolts are in labeled zip-lock bags. Breast plate and engine tins are complete. Engine will need assembly and some new wear items (oil cooler was too far gone; all parts need inspection and cleaning prior to assembly). Needs new pistons as well as top-end work still to be done. Have all glass except the windshield (had a crack across when I purchased it). Body has some dents that will need body work or panel replacement. Rust issues near the package tray, otherwise panels appear to be solid. The seats are in good driver quality and seem to have been replaced recently by the prior owner. Tires, wheels & hub caps are in good driver quality with plenty of life left.Currently on non-op with the DMV, so no back fees owed. Life priorities have changed, and this bug needs a new home!

This Super Beetle is FUN to drive and has a nice thick steering wheel. It starts right up and the engine pulls strong. It needs an alignment job but was waiting to put a new rim on the right front first. The car is super clean and gets lots of nice comments. The car doesn't shake and the transmission was tightened a year ago. All work I had done was at Lavere's in Concord, CA. I have the original rims which are included with the car. It cruises easily at 70 mph, but I drive at 65mph. I've taken it on trips and haven't had any problems. Tires are newer with perhaps 3k miles on them. There's a sticker on the right window that is almost peeled off but shows it was driven to Mexico. Its been well cared for. There is some oil drops but its 43 years old and hasn't been any problem. The heater puts out a lot of heat when you turn it on in the Winter. I drive it to work and errands and cruise with the windows down. The sunroof hasn't been opened in years but doesn't leak. The seals would need to be replaced before you open it up to ensure it wouldn't leak. Shipping is on the buyer. Paypal is acceptable. Restorable 1972 VW Super Beetle. Has new battery, new muffler, license valid until March 2016 in California. Car starts easily and is drivable however any prospective bidder should consider that all car/engine features need TLC, adjustment, repair or replacement to be fully and legally functional/safe. The battery charging system is functional and does keep the battery charged. There is a receipt in the glove box indicating that the engine was rebuilt in 2009 at 43693 miles. The odometer is functioning and currently indicates 49650 miles. Whether the engine has 6000 or 206,000 miles since overhaul I don't know. The engine seems to run well but does have an oil leak. The transmission shifts though the gears, but would suggest that the linkage needs some work. Brakes seem OK but I would flush the lines. There is the almost expected hole under the battery. Steering wheel has excessive play exceeding 3 inches, with a clunk at the right end when it meets resistance. A violent shake occurs at about 30 MPH. Please email questions. Clear Title, Good condition 1971 VW Superbeetle. I have owned this car for over 5 years and have driven it extensively without problems. Painted original color about 4 years ago, engine runs strong. Everything original with the exception of a stereo and two speakers mounted in the back. Interior needs carpeting, could use a new steering wheel (cosmetic purposes), the trunk (in front) needs paint touch up and also has a small dent and one of the original front seats has a tear in the vinyl. (which is why I have furry seat covers) No heater unfortunately. Engine just had a tune up, good tires, but I am going off to college and no longer require a vehicle. Thanks for looking! I am selling a 1978 VW Super Beetle convertible designed by Karmann.The car runs a drives great and everything works. The car has an EFI 1600 dual port motor that starts right up and drives very nicely. The car is very fun to drive and has a clean title with no rust at all. I just currently have too many cars!!
