This is a unique and very fast Caterham 7 SV (wide body) first sold in 2007 in Delaware. It is now registered in California and is smog exempt here. Unlike the standard body, it is easiy to get in and out and has leg room for a 6’+ driver. This is a great alternative to 620R if at least that level of performance is important and do not want to spend over $100K. About 4000 miles ago, its original 2 liter Zetec engine was rebuilt with forged rods, pistons, ARP studs, and CNC ported big valve rare SVT head for boost application. Turbo installation, intake, and exhaust are all custom. Factory computer was upgraded to more capable Electromotive engine management. No carburetor here. Now it can spin the rear wheels at will in the first 3 gears with treaded tires even with the current modest 11-12 lbs of boost, generated by Garrett GT28RS turbo. It is making about 305 HP (260 wheel HP) and is capable of quite a bit more. Wide 245 section Maxxis tires have minimized the wheel spin under the full power. Followings are the options and other upgrades while lots of driving fun for the enthusiast comes as standard. 6 speed transmission, Lowered floor, 4 piston AP racing calipers with vented front solid rear disc brakes, LSD with 3.62 gear, Just added new Caterham leather seats, Adjustable ride height, Quick release steering wheel, Two year old HD radiator, Almost new 15x8 front, 15x9 rear wheels with Maxxis 225 and 245 tires, Car comes with, Full roof, Half roof with zipper easy in, Original cloth seats, Side wind deflectors with doors off. Three extra sets of wheels and tires in 13, 15, and 16” diameters and width up to 8 inches. 13 and 16 inch wheels are Caterham, 15” are aftermarket. See photos. Features: 22' deep dish Gianna two piece wheels, Alpine system with competition speakers(it rumbles) and custom burl wood throughout the car including shift knob. Cold AC, heat and the convertible top in good shape no rips or tears and works. Bad news: Front bumper needs repaint, passenger door has four key scratches, tires need replacing from sitting, the new head lights you see needs to be mounted on the car and the rear window has detached from the soft top but thats an easy fix; $150, thats it! It is NOT running as engine/transmission and other vehicle components are stored outside of vehicle. I cannot tell you if the engine, transmission, and or other mechanical/electrical components are in proper operating condition since they have sat in the garage for many years. It appears that the car has front disc brakes, too. It is not wrecked, or stripped to the point of being useful for only parts. Minor rust on undercarriage, but nothing serious. This vehicle was recently appraised (documentation available) and is a good candidate for restoration.
