I am the proud second owner of this 2006 California Cayman S. It has several unique features, the most of visible of which is the clear engine cover which shows off the beautifully painted intakes and IPD competition plenum. This one-off modification makes this 987 stand out from any other Porsche regardless of price. On the spirited drive to your destination you'll never feel the understeer common in Caymans thanks to the GMG lower control arms and superbly grippy new Bridgestone RE-71R tires. Meanwhile, the other performance upgrades should help you pull away from any other Cayman (except for the GT4). Should you need directions, or a desire to listen to something other than the flat six directly behind you, this Cayman has a Pioneer AVIC head unit with Bluetooth, traffic-enabled navigation, Pandora, and an iPod connection. It was installed by Walnut Creek Customs who made a custom surround for it with full color and texture match to the original interior. I have many of the original parts including the stock aluminum engine cover and carpeting, fog lamps, and yellow side markers. Unlike many other modified cars for sale this Cayman will pass CA smog without a problem, and in fact just did with registration good through January 2018. The car got a clean bill of health at its last service done by GMG. There is, of course, the regular wear and tear one would expect on a 2006 car but it is in otherwise great condition. This is one of the best Porsches to drive, it handles wonderfully on the road and turns because engine is located in the middle behind the seats. Lots of storage with front and rear trunk typical for Cayman S. This car had front damage to bumper and right fender, we have replaced both of them, they will have to be painted, fender is blue and bumper has some scratches. You will need to replace the right headlight, repair and paint front hood (was bent, we straightened it out as much as we could). All elements under the body are fine, including radiators and suspension. There is a crack on front windshield, its not from accident and must have been there before car was sold at auction. There are scratches here and there, most will be buffed out, the deeper ones will have to be repainted. Car runs and drives great, tires, breaks and suspension are in very good shape. Weve driven this car for over 240 miles since we got it, runs and drives withtout problems, no pulling, no dash lights, no leaks, everything works fine. Interior is super clean, very well maintained by previous owner, no signs or smell of smoking. Temperature controls have some visible wear and tear, typical for Porsche, can be replaced upon request.
