For sale is my 2007 Porsche Cayman S with just over 26,4XX miles. I've owned this car since 2009 (third owner) and it has always been kept in a garage. This is an amazing car to drive - the handling is superb, and the straight-line acceleration is very impressive as well! The handling characteristics of the Cayman are highly renowned due to the mid-engine design - I have never felt this car sway on the highway; if you turn the steering wheel the car will go in the direction you point it without any under/oversteer whatsoever. It basically handles like a go-kart. As far as power goes, the 3.4 six cylinder produces 295 horsepower and moves this 2900 lbs. car very easily. 6-Speed Manual Transmission, 19" Carrera rims, heated seats, xenon headlights, Bose stereo system, tinted windows, two different trunks. The Good: - Adult-driven and very well cared for - Michelin Pilot Sport tires all ways around; Front tires have less than 500 miles on them, and rear tires have approximately 7k miles on them. - Gas Mileage: 22-23 MPG city and 26-28 MPG on the interstate doing 75+ MPH. - Recently serviced at Porsche dealer in Wichita - This car is in excellent mechanical condition and make you just want to keep driving it! - Black paint shines beautifully The Not so Good: - There are a lot of small chips from the road on the front bumper and hood - A few scratches on the front fender, hood, and back fender - Both rear rims have small areas of curb rash (from previous owner) - Driver's side door lock assembly (Part Number: 3D1837015C) needs to be replaced; lock mechanism works fine, there is a failed micro switch inside the door handle that controls the auto lowering/raising of window when the door is opened/closed. The part cost is appx $120-180 plus labor to have it installed. I have factored this into the asking price. Overall this is quite an amazing and beautiful car and will turn heads everywhere you drive. The only reason I am selling this car is because I have too many toys as it is, and she just doesn't get driven enough. I have the title on-hand.

In the following paragraphs I will describe this Cayman S in excruciating detail, including flaws. Options (Have COA and window sticker): Wheel caps with colored crest Power seat package Heated seats Automatic climate control Floor mats interior color 19” Sport Design Wheel Sport Chrono w/o PSM Self dimming mirrors and rain sensor Preferred package plus PASM Bose Surround Sound Remote CD changer Bi-xenon headlamps Exterior: As you can see from the photos, this Cayman S is stunning in Guards Red with moderately tinted windows and the 19” Sport Design wheels. No signs of any paintwork, and the Carfax is clean. A clear bra covers the front bumper, forward half of the hood, leading edges of the front fenders, rear fender flares, and the forward facing portions of the mirrors, so the car is nearly free of rock chips. Paint is simply fantastic, after a polish with Pinnacle XMT and a Zaino wax it is deep, glossy, and nearly flawless. No dents, dings, scratches, etc. It is a fantastic looking car. Interior: Similarly fantastic to the exterior, the black interior is nearly flawless. The driver’s seat shows almost no wear, while the passenger seat looks new. No stains, scratches, or otherwise flaws in the leather, carpet, or plastic. Floor mats are excellent with only slight heel wear on the driver’s side. Even the soft touch finish is nearly perfect, there are only a few very light marks near the driver’s side door handle and by the shifter. Shift knob and e-brake handle are nearly perfect. The climate control and radio knobs have been professionally refinished by “Sticky No More”, taking care of a common 987 wear item. Well equipped with power windows, locks, power heated memory seats, power heated mirrors, Homelink, automatic climate control, rain sensing wipers, Sport Chrono lap timer, and Bose audio. Every power feature works exactly as it should. I’ve owned multiple 987/997 generation Porsches, this is as nice as they come. Mechanical: I have completed the 60k service on this car, it will essentially need nothing for the next 20k. Within the last month it has received a synthetic oil and filter change, coolant flush, new serpentine belt, spark plugs, air filter, pollen filter, brake fluid flush/bleed, and new wiper blades. In addition I have replaced one ignition coil that had a superficial crack, found while changing the spark plugs. Tires are Michelin Pilot Sport A/S rear and Bridgestone Potenza RE760AS front, both have greater than 50% tread and recent date codes. Mechanical condition is excellent, at this point the car needs nothing. The engine runs smoothly and strong with no leaks, warning lights, or smoke. Transmission shifts smooth up and down through the gears, no grinding or noise. Suspension is tight without any vibration or noise, the PASM changes modes and makes a noticeable difference in the ride and handling. Steering is tight, no vibration or pulling. Brakes are strong with a nice stiff pedal, no vibration or pulling on braking. Sport mode engages and makes the throttle more responsive, increases the steering effort, and puts the PASM dampers in sport mode. I drove this car over 500 miles on a road trip and it was flawless, I would drive it anywhere without concern. Flaws: While this Cayman is very very nice, as with any used car it is not perfect. Unlike most I believe in full and honest disclosure, I expect my cars to be exactly as described. I have provided cars to enthusiasts around the country and never had a disappointed buyer. Flaws are as follows: one small rock chip on the RH intake vent, a few light scratches on the right front wheel. A few very light marks in the soft touch finish by the shift boot and near the driver’s door handle. A few light rock chips on the few front end parts not protected by the clear bra, primarily low on the front bumper. So in summary this Cayman S is nearly flawless inside and out, has very desirable options, is fully up to date on maintenance, and needs nothing but a new home. I have well over 100 DSLR high resolution photos, an Excel maintenance file, and the clean Carfax report that are available via email.Options:267 auto dimming mirrors268 rain sensor342 seat heating446 wheel caps with colored Porsche crest680 Bose sound packageInterior: I've owned multiple cars from the 997 and 987 generations, this is the nicest interior that I've seen considering the year and mileage. The seats are in nearly new condition, no appreciable wear. Carpets have no stains or wear, Porsche branded floor mats are excellent as well. No dash cracks, scratches, stains. There are a few light scratches adjacent to the ash tray on the center console in the soft touch finish, but compared to most used 987s it is very minor. Light wear on the e-brake handle, the shift knob is very good. No wear on the steering wheel. All power features work correctly - power mirrors, auto-dimming mirrors, Homelink, power windows, Bose audio, and power releases for the front and back trunks. A Parrot Bluetooth device has been added to provide hands-free phone and it works well. Front and back trunks are similarly super clean, and the front trunk has the intact tool kit and factory tire repair kit. The radio knobs were just professionally refinished, and the climate control knobs have been previously refinished.Outside: Simply a beautiful car. The Seal Gray paint has a fantastic shine, recently detailed with a clay bar, Pinnacle polish, and Zaino wax products. The paint is deep, glossy, and almost swirl free, exceptional for a used car. The body is as straight as they get, no noticeable dents or dings. Wheels are very clean with zero curbing or deep scratches, only a few light chips in the finish. Even the brake calipers still have a great glossy shine. Exterior enhancements (all dealer installed) include protective screens over the side intakes and front bumper grilles, 15mm FVD wheel spacers front and rear, front and bumper splitters. Wiper blades are new Bosch Icon. Mechanical: As good as the cosmetics are, mechanically it is even better. The previous owner of this car was a VW/Porsche mechanic, who knew the prior owner and sought out the car when it was traded in. This previous previous owner traded an R8 in on this Cayman, and spent thousands in upgrades and over-maintaining it. As an example, in the span of less than 40,000 miles he had the transmission fluid changed three times, a service not recommended by Porsche until 80,000 miles. I have extensive receipts from Park Place Porsche, and all maintenance history is summarized in an Excel file available via email. In regards to maintenance, it needs nothing. Tires are brand new Potenza S04, it was just aligned to Cayman R specs, oil and filter was just changed, the brakes were bled with ATE Super Gold, and the battery is brand new. Thousands were spent in performance upgrades, including a full Fabspeed exhaust with headers, cats, and mufflers, Fabspeed intake elbow, BMC air filter, FVD ECU tune to take advantage of these upgrades, Bilstein PSS9 coilover suspension system, stainless steel brake lines, Porsche performance brake pads, underdrive pulley, and extended oil sump. If you are looking for a track capable car, this one is ready. The suspension is currently set to Cayman R ride height, aligned to Cayman R specs, and set to 5 front and 6 rear (9 is softest), which gives it much sharper handling than a stock Cayman with better ride quality. Everything is mechanically superb - the engine is smooth and powerful with much more top-end punch than a stock car, it really gives the car a raw feel reminiscent of the older air-cooled 911s. Brakes are smooth and strong with no vibration and a firm pedal, steering is sharp with zero vibration and smooth tracking, the transmission shifts well with no grinding or popping out of gear. The modifications on this car genuinely enhance it without any adverse effects thanks to the use of top notch products. It handles better, rides better, and sounds better (no exhaust drone) than a stock Cayman S. It is mechanically superb, just an amazing car to drive. Flaws: I believe in honest and full disclosure, I am exceptionally picky with cars and describe any and all flaws. My goal is for the car to be better than expected when you arrive to take a look in person. Inside there are a few light scratches near the ash tray in the soft touch finish, and there is light sun fade in the carpet under the rear window in the back hatch area. There are a few light scratches on the hood, roof, and hatch area, between 1" and 4". I have tried to capture them in pictures but they are very slight, none are visible from more than 5' away. Very few rock chips on the hood. The front bumper cover was recently replaced after hitting a piece of debris on the highway, I have the record of the repair work done by a top notch shop that specializes in high end cars. The Carfax is still clean, and the paint match is very very good. Due to this repair, the front bumper cover does not have the expected rock chips. Please note that this car was NOT a track car, and therefore does not have any of the associated wear and tear.Summary: If you are looking for a Cayman S to really enjoy and drive, they don't get much better. Excellent cosmetics, superb mechanically, and a history of obsessive care. As mentioned previously I have over 100 high quality photos, an Excel maintenance summary, and a copy of the clean Carfax available via email. Title is clean and clear.
