Car needs nothing, and one drive in it will be convincing. Present owner has had the car for about 4 1/2 years and has always taken care of it. Fresh oil service, new battery, new belt with new belt tensioner and pulley, brand new (under 200 miles) clutch and flywheel. The new prospective owner benefits with a brand new $4500. clutch and flywheel replacement. All original Porsche parts and professionally installed. Car drives perfectly. Recent brakes, good tires. A/C blows cold and works great. If you are looking for a car that is going to be reliable and trouble free this is the one. Interior is in super condition, upholstery and leather seats in excellent shape. Exterior is really good but shows 2 very small dings, one on the passenger door and one on the left quarter panel. Slight scrape on the left fender wheel well opening and small scuff on the left side of the rear bumper. This shows the car as original with a couple very understandable and very minor imperfections. No dents or damaged underside at all. Underneath is exremely clean and free form any leaks or seepages. In other words it is bone dry and tight all way around. No squeaks, funny noises or loose steering feelings or suspension issues. I looking to sell the car in order to upgrade to a later model 911 Cabriolet. The aluminum cylinder heads are lifted directly from the Boxster S but use the more aggressive camshafts from the Carrera S's 3.8-liter engine. Along with this setup comes Porsche's VarioCam Plus system that optimizes efficiency at idle and maximizes power output at part- to full-throttle. With the increase in horsepower, the crankshaft needed to be stiffened by increasing the diameter of its main bearing journals by 3.0 mm. And a stronger aluminum crankcase is fitted that is nearly identical to the one found on the 911. The Cayman S's 3.4-liter flat-six engine puts out 295 hp at 6250 rpm and generates 251 lb-ft of torque between 4400 and 6000 rpm.Its six-speed manual transmission is the same unit found in the Boxster S but with shorter ratios in 1st and 2nd gears for better low-speed thrust. Triple-cone synchromesh is installed in the first two gears while the rest are equipped with two. The gearbox is precise and offers short throws, helping the Cayman S to accelerate quickly. On the test track, standing-start acceleration runs with the traction control turned off to produce significant axle-tramp, but it then settles quickly. Zero to 60 mph is accomplished in 4.8 seconds, and the quarter-mile mark is reached in 13.3 seconds at a speed of 106.2 mph. Compared with the 911 Carrera, which weighs about 120 lbs more but has 325 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque, the Cayman S is only 0.3 seconds slower to 60 mph and 0.4 seconds off from the 911's quarter-mile time while traveling about 2.0 mph slower.
