This is a beautiful 1992 Jag XJS coupe with a dealer installed TWR Tom Wilkenshaw Racing (JagSport) XJRS body package and other dealer upgrades installed. TWR built cars were available in all markets except the United States (except for 1 year only). TWR JagSport was similar to what Shelby, Roush and Saleen were to Mustangs, Lingenfelter was to Corvettes or Hennessey is to Viper... Dealers often had agreements with TWR Racing in order to make available parts that were not. Of course, the cost was huge. This car has 81,000 miles and has had tons and tons of $$$$ spent on it, recent and previous work. It drives strong (like only a XJRS V12 would) and was mildly rated at 272 hp. It runs great, looks great, and has many mechanical upgrades over previous models... not to mention that 1992 was the 1st year of Jaguar's 'facelift' XJS, where the headlights, taillights and rear window 'flying buttress' was stylistically improved. 1992 to 1995 XJS coupes are among the most rare... even before the XJRS body kit was installed! The V12 was greatly improved in this car with direct fuel injector fuel rails that are not prone to engine fires that other earlier V12 were prone to. The horsepower and efficiency is also greatly improved. 2 Owner history: the doctor that paid big $$$ for it, and the present owner who said 'it is the most beautiful car I ever saw!" Always an AZ car (no rust) and good clean history! It has beautiful original paint, both owners kept the car indoors. The paint color is Oyster (which is sometimes referred to as Champagne) and it has Magnolia interior. The driver's side upper seat bolster has about a 1" tear, which is common as people 'rub' the area upon entry and exit of the vehicle. The wheels are 17" and are a super improvement over the stock 15" wheels and tires only have a couple hundred miles on them. Both front and rear brakes have been replaced, as well as the front shocks. The current owner just spent over $2500 on repairs (new alternator, etc). This car has been very, very well taken care of. Can't say AC is ice-cold, but works ok, just recharge it to get maximum output. Right rear stop/parking light bulb need to be replaced. Brand new premium battery installed. Front and rear bearings and brakes replaced by summer 2015 (1000-something miles since that day) for more confident driving despite it was not necessary. Up for your consideration is our beautiful '89 Jag. Unfortunately, we have 5 cars and no garage, so we're trying to get it into a good home before it has to spend another Georgia summer outdoors. Our grandmother gave it to us 2 1/2 years ago because, at age 87, she was having a difficult time getting in and out of it and preferred the visibility offered by her Buick SUV. She bought it new in 1989 and has garaged and maintained it since then. So, yes, here it is - the proverbial used car that was owned since new by a little old lady who only drove it on Sundays! We got a new battery, replaced all the belts, secured a fuel line that was rattling underneath, and repaired a power steering fluid leak. We never smoked or put the dogs in it, and averaged about 1 or 2 trips a week with it. The tires are great, but the full-sized spare is bald. The transmission and brakes work just as they should (although the ABS light on the dash stays on for some reason). The beastly V-12 will push you back in your seat, should you want it to, and is happiest at highway speed, as anyone who's driven one will tell you. They're not kidding about the vaunted "Jaguar ride." It really is ridiculously smooth and grippy- you can accelerate into curves or up hills and it just feels solidly planted, with plenty of power to spare. Plus, the XJS was cool enough for Roger Moore, thus by the transitive property of coolness, it's cool enough for James Bond. Now on to Ye Olde British Car Issues (closeup photos included): If you leave it outside in a thunderstorm overnight, there will be leaks at your feet and the glove box unless you cover the hood vent. I've owned 4 Austins- they all leaked, too. You'd think in a rainy country like England, they'd be really into preventing this, like how the Swedes make a really great seat heater, but no. The Queen's car probably leaks. Paint: We left it out in direct sun on the street for 2 years (again, I apologize, no garage) and it ruined the clearcoat on the hood in a spot. You'll probably want to get the hood painted, or you could just line up the racing stripe there. There is a ding near the fuel door, a quarter-sized bubble on each door in the same spot, some tiny bubbles on the lip of the trunk, some acorn dings on the roof, and other very minor scratches and imperfections befitting a car this age. Annoyances: The right rear bumper has a little bend that we deemed too minor to bother with, and the air dam needs to be reattached in the center (one screw, just have em do it whenever it's on a lift next). The passenger power window will go down, but doesn't like going up. The wood fascia on the shifter console is cracked with heat and age. The headliner fell one hot day and is safety pinned up. The radio sounds great but the tape deck has taken to randomly flipping from one tape side to the other, even with the tape adapter in. There is a split seam a few inches long on the leftmost side of the driver's seat. The radio antenna just decided it just wasn't going to retract anymore one day. The springs no longer hold the massive hood aloft, so it must be propped up with a rod when you're under there- I'll leave it in the trunk for you! To Be Fixed: There is a pinhole leak in a valve cover gasket that causes a little smoke from oil being forced out onto the hot engine block. Our grandmother said that the last thing she'd had done was to repair a fuel tank leak- I inspected it and you can see where they patched it with JB Weld. I've sealed a plate over an engine port with that stuff before and I trust it, but if I had the budget for it I'd have the tank resealed from the inside or just replaced for total peace of mind. I've never seen it leak or smelled anything untoward, though. The battery will go flat if you leave it connected overnight- If I were keeping the car, I'd put in a master kill switch and just bypass the problem, but I'd recommend having someone with a test light chase down the bad ground or short and never worry about it again. Oh- comes with the excellent Haynes Manual.

This car is a 2ond place winner in the 2015 championship class with most noted flaws (small cosmetic in nature mostly the engine bay) already corrected. Ready to win in 2016. Beautiful color combo with flawless paint and interior! The car as two very small hairline cracks developing on the center ski slope wood, otherwise the wood is like new. I have an extra ski sloop if wanted. The original skip sloop can be repaired "like new" with a color match with the existing wood for a modest sum. I have done this on the other older jags I have owned. Please note the championship class has much more stringent requirements than the driver class most cars are judged by. The championship class judges cars against the condition they were in when the left the showroom. There are plenty of cheap jags out there that will cost you a lot of money sorting the many problems out. Not this XJS, everything works like new and it looks like new. When I purchased this car last March locally in Sarasota it was in exceptional condition owned by an elderly lady living on Longboat Key who put less then 300 miles on the car the last 6 years. I knew the Jaguar mechanic who serviced the car and he told me the car was going on the market. After I purchased the car I had him fully service the car spending about $2,600 mostly on items needing attention from the last several years of limited use. Since March I have driven the car less then 1,000 miles and it sits covered in storage. I have owned 5 XJS's - two V12's and three straight 6's. The 6 cylinders are much better cars and cost significantly less to operate and to service. They also have about the same level of acceleration and power output. I am very annal about my cars both the appearance and operation condition and it will show on this car.I have 4 older jags plus three everyday cars so I need to reduce the number of cars I own. I only have a three car garage and storage is getting expensive.
