1972 Chevy C10 Short Bed (SWB): The most popular Chevrolet trucks with collectors are those built between 1967 and 1972. Several factors explain the collector popularity of these trucks. First, they're just damn good looking! To many, the lines of Chevy pickups in this styling series, particularly the 1969-1972 models, are a "classic" expression of what a pickup truck should look like. Second, with this series Chevrolet offered truly carlike interiors, complete with color-coordinated carpeting on the floor. Third, all power accessories once found only on cars were now available on light trucks. A pickup from this "Integrated Styling" series could be equipped with air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, AM/FM radio - virtually any accessory you could find on a car. Forth, and perhaps best of all, with Chevrolet's all-coil spring suspension, pickups of this series offered a ride as smooth as that of a Chevy Bel Air sedan. This beautiful Chevy was purchased from it's previous owner in California and arrived in excellent mechanical but had an older two-tone green paint scheme applied. The truck was born Medium Olive & White so when it was repainted in Dec 2015, this was our obvious color choice. We then replaced a few chrome components/emblems and installed a high-end bedliner to complete all the exterior cosmetics. The interior was already in excellent shape and is highly original with exception of a Tach, Radio, and Air Ride Gauges that were added in 2015. The previous owner had installed the Air Ride system with independent bags on all 4 corners. This allows for several ride heights and offers a smooth ride on the streets. The factory original olive houndstooth bench and other interior components contrast nicely with the exterior and give the truck an outstanding overall look. As visible on the SPID tag, this truck left the assembly line as a nicely optioned Custom that still looks as good now as when new. This C10 needs nothing and we wouldn't hesitate to jump in it and drive it anywhere. It starts easily, shifts smoothly, stops like it should, and does great at highway speeds. 1968 Chevy CST-10 Frame-Off Restoration Up for sale is my 1968 Chevy CST-10 SWB Pickup Truck. My truck has less than 500miles on a rebuilt motor. I only drive it on the weekends and special occasions. The truck is garage kept. I am selling it to finance a new interest. The paint and body is the straightest you will ever see! No modification to the body has occurred. All glass and rubber are new. It has new Flowmaster Series 40 mufflers, new battery, new chrome fuel pump and tires. I am no gear head but I know what I want and like. At the encouragement of my mechanic I had a chrome Edelbrock double carburetor and intake installed. Installed are double hump 202 heads. A mild camshaft (L88 Corvette). I appreciate originality and tried to stay true to that theme. There are so many things performed on my truck to make it the head tuner it is that I can’t list them all. The interior is in excellent condition, there are no rips or tears. There are no cracks in the dash, nor arm rests. My truck has 40/20/40 seats, tilt steering wheel, and even A/C (upgraded)!!! The truck has a new red/white paint job, there is no body damage and the truck has not been in any accidents. There is absolutely no/zero rust. Mechanically the car runs great and it very powerful, it is extremely fun to drive. I regret having to part with my truck but I have a new project I want to start. This is a one of a kind truck. I know what my truck is worth and I will keep it before I give it away. The undercarriage is just as impressive as the exterior and interior. My truck, is not a truck that has received a nice paint job. This is a frame off restoration!!! None Perfect Areas: If I keep the truck, I would replace the fuse block. On the backside of the fuse block, several of the wire connection has a little corrosion starting. There is an approximate 1” slight scratch on the driver fender. Probably from a careless mechanic but of course nobody will admit to causing it. It’s barely visible and most don’t notice it until I point it out.If I keep the truck, I will finish the engine bay off with a chrome master cylinder.
