1956 Chevrolet Belair Convertible-Project-NOT THE CAR PICTURED! READ BELOW! Chassis-Cleaned prepped painted, Heidt's IFS suspension and Heid't IRS suspension as well. Has had a Chevrolet LS engine and a 4L60E transmission installed. Body-Currently at an excellent body shop, all body work done and the first base color applied. Ready for the second color and scheduled to be done in the next couple of weeks. I followed the Chip Foose 56 paint scheme with the coffe and cream color applied 1" over the stainless and below. The second color is a cream and will be applied above that line. I have most or all of the interior, including the original seats. It is in original condition, and would need to be redone. There will be a picture of a very similar paint job I did on a 55 Belair Convertible I sold last year in the pictures. Convertible Top Frame comes with the car. Wheels and tires are only for transportation Some or most all of the trim comes with the car, as weel as bumpers. The car comes without a drive train. But setup for the LS engine and 4L60-family of transmissions. Selling the car "as is" or I will continue managing construction of the vehicle for a reasonable shop rate. Inquiries are welcome, as well as visits to see the beautiful condition. I understand that I am asking a great deal of money for a partially completed vehicle, but it is a chance to finish this car and have a Very nice and desireable convertible. And it doesn't matter, but I have as much money just in the suspension and brakes, paint and body work as I am asking. Up FOR SALE ,1955 Chevy 4 dr that is believed to be 3rd owner and has been in NC it's entire Life Bought NEW @ STOKES MOTOR CO KING, NC in 1956! (have the Original Buyers Contract!) the Owner now has Owned since 1998 and had the car repainted around 2000. There are few imperfections in the paint (look @ Pics) ,some glass showing there age, paint is slick,body is Straight, w/ all orig body panels, No Rust! The Frame, Floor Pans etc are SOLID as a ROCK! also about 2000 the complete DriveTrain was replaced from a 1986 Camaro w/305 engine, 700R4 automatic overdrive trans, 10 bolt rear.(still have Original 265 eng etc) has new Aluminum Radiator,New gas tank, New Tires, has Original Spare and Jack. You can drive this 55 Anywhere w/No Problems,Very Dependable! Runs down the interstate @ 70mph w/ no vibrations and no problems! Interior looks Great, Everything works except the Original Radio. Coveritble top is in great condition, the motors the raise and lower the top, are in great working condition. The interior is also in great condition. Paint is very presentable, chrome is in excellent condition. Car runs smooth and strong. The under carriage of the vehicle is in great condition.
