This 1966 Chevrolet Caprice presents a unique opportunity to own a sharp, numbers-matching, first generation big block Caprice that is a blast to drive! It sports a solid drive train that powers a clean and straight body with head-turning curb appeal. This car makes a great candidate for the enthusiast looking for a fun cruiser with muscle car attitude. As you approach this car, you\'ll appreciate flat panels with even gaps that are covered in a smooth coat of red paint. It\'s a finish that suggests the car underwent a thorough restoration sometime in the past and has been well-maintained since. Chrome bumpers up front and in the rear show well with clear reflections. All of the trim is present and appears straight with little to no dings. GM purists will appreciate the OEM \'T3\' headlights used for the high beams, while crystal clear replacements handle the low beams. All of the badges are mounted in their correct locations with \'396\' fender badges proudly displayed up front. And wrapping it up to a classic and unforgettable look is 15\'\' Rally wheels that fit very nicely on this car. Inside is a black vinyl interior that shows very well with stylish bucket seats up front and a matching rear bench seat. The vinyl covering the seats appears like new with very little wear that is evident. The bucket seats surround a full length center console that includes a storage compartment, the manual shifter, and leads to the console gauges that include oil pressure, water temperature, amperage, and a clock. Above those gauges are controls for the heat and defrost and a Pioneer AM/FM/Cassette player. The crack-free dash hosts more factory instrumentation such as a speedometer, tachometer, and fuel gauge. And it\'s all accented nicely with wood appliqu%26Atilde;%26copy; on the glove box as well as highlighting the door panels. Lying under the big red hood is the original 325 horsepower, 396 cubic inch Turbo Jet Chevrolet V8 big block. In fact, the engine and 4-speed manual transmission have both been verified to be original to this Caprice. That big block Chevy shows some flash with chrome \'Chevrolet\' branded valve covers that use custom extended wing nuts for easier maintenance. Feeding air and fuel to the 396 is a Holley carburetor and Edelbrock Performer RPM intake manifold, while sparks are handled by 8mm Moroso plug wires. Those 8 cylinders exhale through a set of Hedman Hedders, and a dual exhaust system for a classic exhaust note that will perk the ears of anyone within a close distance. There are power brakes with discs up front that help stop the 225/70/15 BF Goodrich Radial T/As. Providing a comfortable ride and muscle car power, this 1966 Chevrolet Caprice is a great buy. With a matching numbers drivetrain it becomes an even more desirable car. Needless to say, it has gotten a lot of attention. Call today! This vehicle is located in our Charlotte showroom.
