Owned since 1 year old by my father who ran a garage. Always maintained and kept in dry carport. Replaced engine and transmission many years ago. Now has 305 and 700R4 overdrive transmission from a later year model. I installed a new 140 mph speedometer and new tachometer with new circuit panel and LED lamps. dash lights not working. Traced to a faulty ground connection. Need to fix ground and hook up tach wire. I drove it about 50 miles last year to have it inspected. A/C compressor made noise so I replaced it. Dad is gone now and I have been holding onto his prize for two years. I am ready to let it go now. Needs nothing that I know of. Runs and drives very well. Tires are very good. I had new suspension parts installed up front and replaced air lines on rear shocks. Has sprayed-on bedliner covered with a thick piece of rubber. Drive it home. Never been in trouble and never any rust. Bucket seats are actually from a Chevelle. Left seat was recovered. New headliner put in a few years back. Carpet showing wear and some cracks in padded dash pad. Engine has around sixty thousand well-maintained miles. Car has around 100 thousand miles, but not damaged or worn out. Never smoked in since new. Good investment as these El Caminos are going up all the time. Ask questions...

Fortunately, as hardened car guys, we're smart enough to know a better definition of the word. To us, "utility" means having the room to carry a wide variety of essentials while having the ability to haul a whole lot of... umm... tail. That's why, roughly 40 years after their introduction, classics like this fully documented, numbers-matching El Camino still mix serious fun with serious desirability. So, if you're looking to ascertain a correct, muscle-bound Chevy that's ready to pose, play and tote some big trophies, check out this sublime Super Sport! BODYWORK/TRIM Originally sold at Fred Gledhill Chevrolet in Wilmington, California, this unbeholden ute is a 4-owner gem that, according to its current steward, was a multi-year labor of love. Acquired in 1998, the low-mileage weekender benefitted from a body-off restoration that added an immediate transmission rebuild, a 2004 repaint and a 2006 engine rebuild to its 2015 completion date. Naturally, that professionally massaged drivetrain was complemented with an array of correct componentry. As you can see from our high-resolution photos, that correct 2-stage was accented with traditional Super Sport hood stripes. And today, the car presents as a no apologies classic that's both timeless and cool. Aesthetically, the El Camino never strayed far from the coupe or sedan it was founded on. At the front of this retro crossover, a familiar Chevelle grille hangs a fresh and prominent "SS" emblem between stainless-seated T3s, clean marker lamps and a thick chrome bumper. Above that bumper, an NOS Super Sport hood flows to like-new glass, which is flanked by correct stainless frames and correct stainless drip rails. Beneath those rails, bold fender badging combines with correct wheel trim, traditional door handles and flashy mirrors to add visual detail to the car's smooth profile. And at the back of that profile, a stainless-trimmed bed leads the eye to a black-trimmed tailgate, which hangs correct badging and clean reverse lamps between vivid taillights and a second chrome bumper. ENGINE Although Chevrolet's ferocious LS6 Turbo Jet V8 was conservatively rated at 450 horsepower, it actually punched the dyno somewhere north of 500. Toss this classic's hood and you'll find an original, 454 cubic inch big block that hangs a correct 3963512 casting number between a correct "CRR" assembly stamp and matching partial VIN. At the top of that block, a rare dual-snorkel air cleaner forces oxygen in to an original Holley carburetor and correct Winters intake. At the back of that intake, an original points distributor sequences fire through high quality Packard TV R Suppression cables. Below those cables, correct exhaust manifolds are wired to old school emissions hardware. And at the front of that hardware, GM-branded hoses channel water past a correct fan and rebuilt alternator with the help of a beefy radiator and familiar tower clamps. During the extensive restoration, the big mill was professionally overhauled and decked in glossy Chevy Orange paint. And, from its mirrored valve covers and Delco-topped battery all the way to its fresh brake booster and stainless fluid lines, the monster motor looks right at home in the car's clean, Satin Black engine bay. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION Naturally, this A-Body's road-ready chassis has been restored to the same high standards as its slick profile and clean engine compartment. A nice coat of Satin Black paint provides a great foundation for correct inspection marks and factory-accurate details. Behind the stout big block, an original Turbo-Hydramatic 400 3-speed hangs a correct "70 CY" assembly tag opposite a matching partial VIN. That tough transmission twists power to a correct "CRW" stamped 12-bolt, which spins a posi-traction differential around meaty, 4.10 gears. Holding that killer drivetrain off the ground is a correct F40 Heavy Duty Suspension, which is equipped with stiff springs, a heavy-duty sway bar and correct manual steering. The car's rebuilt power front disc and rear drum brakes are present, accounted for and function exceptionally well. The aforementioned exhaust manifolds dump spent gases in to authentic Gardner pipes. Power meets the pavement via stylish Super Sport wheels and G70-14 Goodyear Polyglas tires. And, in keeping with its raucous 454, much attention has been paid to making sure everything under this Camino is virtually spotless. INTERIOR Decked in correct Black vinyl, this pickup's fully restored interior features a host of fresh components. Its firm bench seat displays correct weave patterns that were designed to keep passengers' backs cool. In front of those seats, a correct Super Sport dash hangs deluxe telemetry and a correct electric clock above Delco pushbutton audio. At the sides of that dash, pliable, "SS" branded door panels bridge the gap between fresh carpet and a factory-spec headliner. And in front of the driver, a thin Super Sport steering wheel keeps everybody pointed in the right direction. HISTORICAL INFORMATION In addition to requisite body tags, this Chevy's sale includes an original build sheet and replacement Protect-O-Plate. Up for sale is a 1987 El Camino. I purchased it last year with intentions of making a daily driver out of it but health issues forces this sale. It runs, drives, stops, and changes gears fine but has water in the oil. The previous owner had the heads and upper engine worked on and apparently, they didn't torque it properly to seal the head gaskets or? The engine compartment show recent prior work. The vehicle is rather well equipped with PB, PS, PW, AM-FM, A/C, TILT, CRUISE and a cloth seat with fold down armrest. The body is straight and rust free. It needs paint, some interior work and tinkering with (windows and locks, etc). The tires are good (2 new) and it has a recent battery. Asking $4500 or best offer. Located in Mooresville, NC. You can phone Richard at 704-799-5041 between 9 AM and 8 PM est for more info.

Yes, that's right, this 'lil hauler has the legendary L79 under it hood, and a Muncie four-speed...And you thought you were just attracted to this one because of its good looks. This is really the holy grail El Camino. This hot '67 is only one of five L79 El Caminos currently listed in the National L79 Registry, and this one is truly the prize. It was sold new in Oregon and spent nearly 45 years in that area, with all of its original components. Then in 2012 this Chevy was given a complete frame off restoration from the ground up. That's why the bodywork looks straighter than even any Tuesday car that came out of the Fremont, California facility. On top of that is fresh paint that takes GM's iconic shade of Marina Blue, but gives it a much more modern and deep shine than the factory ever could. Even the truck bed shines with a look-at-me quality. This transformation back to factory fresh would not be compete without the chrome and stainless trim being in immaculate condition, on everything from the wide grille, to the ribbed rear end that can make a tailgate still look like a Chevelle. The final touch gives you a nice choice between large Torq Thrust style wheels, on modern low-profile tires, or original-style painted steel wheels with bright bow-tie hubcaps and Firestone Wide Oval redline tires this El Camino comes with both! The moment you open the door, you'll swear it's 1967, and that's for a very good reason. The complete restoration included putting the factory interior back to original spec. The black vinyl bench has the kind of cushioning that feels like no one else ever sat here before. The wood-rimmed sports steering wheel feels ready to be warn-in by a loving caretaker. Even the heat/defrost controls glide with ease. It has the kind of atmosphere that you know you'll love resting your right hand on the shifter and watching the needle rapidly climb on the extra wide speedometer. As we've mentioned before under the hood is the numbers-matching, ER code, L79 327 cubic-inch V8 motor. But it's not just the block that's correct in this exceptionally clean engine bay. That's the original Holley 3806 carburetor sitting on top of a Winters intake that feeds factory-spec 462 heads. Are you starting to get the picture on this one? This El Camino has one of those legendary factory underrated engines with an advertised 325 horsepower. It was a feared package even by the big blocks in the 60s, and today it's a sought-after collectable that offers a wicked exhaust rumble. It only gets better with the original Muncie four-speed manual transmission, backed up by a factory-installed 12-bolt Positraction rear end running a versatile 3.55 ratio. As expected with this level of restoration, the suspension has also been rebuilt correctly, including Saginaw steering gear, and rebuilt drum brakes with boxed control arms, and correct spiral shocks. Now you can be confident in driving this classic even with its pristine original appearance. In a cared for car like this, it should be no surprise that it comes with plenty of documentation such as the original warranty card, owner's manual, and plenty of restoration receipts. There is so much more to this amazing and rare El Camino that we don't have the space to write it all, but we'll be happy to take the time to tell you all about it. Give us a call now before someone else snags this El Camino of your dreams!! 1967 Chevrolet El Camino for Sale 1967 Chevrolet El Camino for Sale Stock # 3223-CHA Charlotte Showroom 5400 West WT Harris Blvd Charlotte, NC 28269 Local/International: (704) 598-2130 Toll-Free: (866) 542-8392 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM EST Sat: 9AM - 5PM EST Email: [email protected] Atlanta Showroom 213 Thornton Rd Lithia Springs, GA 30122 Local/International: (678) 279-1609 Toll-Free: (877) 367-1835 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM EST Sat: 9AM - 5PM EST Email: [email protected] Dallas/Fort Worth Showroom 5400 Sandshell Dr Fort Worth, TX 76137 Local/International: (817) 764-8000 Toll-Free: (855) 877-2707 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM CST Sat: 9AM - 5PM CST Email: [email protected] Tampa Showroom 4610 Pet Lane Lutz, FL 33559 Local/International: (813) 501-1630 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM EST Sat: 9AM - 5PM EST Email: [email protected] TERMS OF SALE 1. 1986 Chevrolet El Camino bucket seats 350 V8 engine power window & door locks. I am listing this for a friend of mine that is a total perfectionist. He bought this vehicle, fixed everything that needed fixed and then realized he really didn't need it or have a use for it. The heater core has been replaced, new steering box and rebuilt front end. The radio was terrible and has been replaced with a new Kenwood stero radio with USB port. It has good paint, no dent or dings. Tires are new. Good daily driver, runs great.

1978 Chevrolet El Camino pickup truck This truck is located in Sylva, North Carolina. I have posted 12 photos with this listing, but to see all 36 photos in full resolution, please peruse my Flickr album: https://www.flickr.com/photos/darronb/albums/72157660195442610 The current owner Ken bought this truck 4 years ago, here in Sylva, North Carolina. Ken titled the truck in Michigan, where his second home was at the time, but he never took the El Camino to Michigan. We have the clear MI title ready for transfer to the new owner. The truck has been parked inside since Ken bought it, and driven very little, perhaps only 100 miles or so. Ken believes that the previous owner was an older gentleman who was in the process of restoring the truck, and may have even been doing a frame-off job. Then the previous owner ran into health issues and sold the vehicle quickly, so it may have been reassembled in haste. There are a number of issues that will need attention. The odometer shows a little over 52,000 miles, but we have no way of knowing if this is accurate. The engine is a small-block, probably a 350, perhaps a 305. I don't know if it is original to the vehicle.. The engine smokes when started, and continues to do so, though it seems to run well enough otherwise. It has an Edlebrock aluminum intake manifold and an Edelbrock carb The transmission is a three-speed automatic, probably a TH350. It is leaking badly enough that an overhaul or replacement will likely be necessary, and it probably can't be driven far as-is, so a tow or trailering will be necessary. Factory A/C, but the compressor is missing. The taillights are not working correctly. The body has been repainted to a pretty silver metallic reasonably well, though certainly not to show quality. Ken believes that the frame was painted during a frame-off job. The black interior is quite good, and has probably had some new parts installed. The tires are very good, with lots of tread remaining. TERMS OF SALE:We are offering this vehicle strictly as-is, where is, with no guarantee of reliability. Bidders should inspect the vehicle in person before bidding, or be fully willing to follow through on a winning bid if bought sight unseen. A deposit of $500 must be received via PayPal within 24 hours of an accepted purchase offer. I'm selling my 1969 Chevrolet El Camino for 6,000 obo. She has a newer engine with 30k miles, automatic, 4wd. 8" rough country lift kit sitting on 38" tires with an El Camino body and 1985 Suburban frame. Solid steel front bumper. 454 with camshaft headers quick fuel technologies carborator and electric ignition. Rear end 10 bolt lockers Dana 60 axles. After-market stereo with subwoofer amp and four extra speakers that are finicky but an easy fix for anyone that knows sound systems. Also has regular cd player with an aux port. Lap belts. Drives great with loads of power. I also have gotten her a lot of new updates like a master cylinder, rebuilt starter, and brand new fly wheel. She has a handful of small fixer-uppers like the windshield wiper motor needs a spacing plate, A/C needs fixing, has no horn, and the paint is roughed up. Since she's an older year she has no airbags but on the bright side can just run over anything. Rear view mirror needs to be hung back up (it's currently chilling on the seat). Will need new rear tires but not immediately. I've had the truck a few years and she's the perfect hobby toy; turns heads, gets thumbs up, and pictures taken every time I drive it. Very fun to drive, has a great roar and with fresh paint would definitely be one of the best trucks around town.

But beyond the show-stopping appearance, this one has some essential features that make it an anytime cruiser. Not only is black beautiful, but when it's as glossy as this, it also is the best shade to show off this pickup's amazing body. We're not sure if this El Camino ever worked for a living, or if someone just spent a pile of cash to get this black beauty looking this straight. It has excellent gaps, impeccable fit, and some of the best chrome and stainless we've seen in a long time. What's even more amazing is the condition of the bed. This is often a heavily trafficked area, and on this truck it remains smooth, straight, and seamless. For advertising sake, there are the crossed-flag emblems on the front fenders that tell the other enthusiasts that this is no ordinary El Camino. Red just looks perfect on the inside when a car is a slick jet black on the outside. Even better, is it's the original color combination for this El Camino. In fact, the vinyl bench seat has been upgraded while still keeping the period-correct appearance. To go with this, the door panels, headliner, and carpets are all exceptionally fresh. The dash has lots of shiny surfaces surrounding the original instruments, which still show clean faces and bright orange needles. An aftermarket A/C system has been neatly installed under the dash, and thanks to a modern compressor and R134a refrigerant, it's efficient and easy to service in the future. For entertainment, there's an AM/FM/cassette that perfectly fits in with the vintage feel, while still offering a modern digital tuner. But of course, the best music will be the sound coming from the exhaust. Just like the rest of the car, underneath the hood is a great mix of vintage with modern touches. The motor is a 327 cubic-inch V8 from 1966, but it was completely rebuilt less than 1,000 miles ago. During that time it was not only given the modern performance appearance pieces that they love at car shows (matte black air cleaner, blacked-out valve covers, chrome pulleys, etc.), but it also has the performance to back it up. This restored motor was bored 0.30 over and then given a Holley carburetor, Edelbrock intake, competition roller camshaft, and Edelbrock aluminum heads. Just to make sure all this force can hook up on any blacktop, the truck has a stout 12-bolt Positraction rear end running 4.11 gears. That kind of high rear end ratio is exceptionally great off the line, but it often has drivers concerned about running high rpms down the highway...but you don't have to worry about that. This El Camino has been upgraded to a five-speed manual, which means you've got an extra gear or two more than everyone else to keep everything calm when cruising. In fact, as intimidating powerful as this pickup is, it's surprising easy to tame thanks to features like power steering and front disc brakes. This is a great looking El Camino that keeps its vintage appearance right down to the original owner's manual. Still, it has the perfect upgrades in all the right places, and the slick black paint is amaazing. You'd expect to pay plenty more for an El Camino this well done. An El Camino SS with a big motor, and screaming color, is built to intimidate others just simply by showing up in the parking lot. The great thing about an El Camino was that it was supposed to be adaptable for everything. This was the one vehicle that could go to church on Sunday, and run a bale of hay into the fields on Monday. Along the way something else got added into the mix...attitude. With El Caminos getting caught up in the muscle car war that was consuming its Chevelle sibling, they became the baddest trucks around. 1969 was a particularly mean-looking year for the El Camino SS. The styling was updated to give the front overhang that look of angry eyebrows. The SS grille is de-chromed for a more sinister appearance. This dark attitude is continued with black rally stripes, rear panel, and vinyl top. All of this is the perfect complement to the SS-only Hugger Orange paint. This package is finished off with the factory-correct Magnum 500 14-inch sport wheels with SS center caps. Just like the outside, the interior has a dark side. The black seats were re-covered in a factory-correct vinyl pattern, and continue to be in excellent condition. The door cards, dash, and carpeting all reinforce this midnight cruiser attitude. All of this black makes the chrome touches on the three-spoke wheel, door handles, stick shift, glovebox, and other trim pieces really stand out. Because this SS wants to get down to business, it opted-out of power-zapping items like the radio and air conditioning. Still, this brute has the right conveniences to make it a fine driver such as the heater/defrost and power steering. This El Camino SS has a correct 396 cubic-inch V8 heart. It's not the truck's original motor, which can be an advantage. This one is ready to take to the local car shows, because you don't have worry about the first owner's teenage son spending the 1970s using the engine for Friday night hot rodding. Instead, this is a newer motor that carries all the monster big block power, and it has plenty of evidence of recent major servicing. That means more confidence when staring down everyone in the parking lot. Another great confidence-builder is the four-speed manual transmission that allows you to dial in as much power as you want. This El Camino SS might be designed for speed, but it has some built-in comfort advantages. The El Camino utilizes Chevelle suspension components for a more luxurious ride, including front disc brakes. In fact, El Caminos have a slightly longer wheelbase then a Chevelle coupe for even more comfort. This El Camino SS will draw people in with its color that probably should have been called Look-At-Me Orange. When the crowds get closer, its got the kind of straight bodywork that gains instant respect. Of course, the exhaust note from the big motor will make them all jump in fear. Welcome to Renee's Country Auto, We are retired Army and now work/play in the mopar world. This is a 85 El Camino I took in on trade to get at a bunch of mopar parts, trans was bad so we put in a Fresh trans, put on new tires, new gas tank sending unit, fixed all the lights to work, tuned up the old girl with new plugs and plug wires and changed oil and filter, and she runs and drives great, As you can see the interior is pretty good, headliner is hard type and needs a new cover, Some rust as you can see in front of rear wheels and behind rear wheels and behind seat needs work, but for a driver to and from work or just to haul stuff this is a good old girl. Vehicle is located just north of Fort Bragg, NC and open for a test drive. I will be glad to entertain MOPAR stuff in on partial trade, We will be glad to deliver also but you will have to call for that estimate, 910-893-4592. Clear title in hand. Give a call for any info. I am sure mileage is 141074.

I purchased this car from one of the members of my car club the first of this year. He was the original owner and spared no expense maintaining it. Last year he installed new air. Needless to say it works perfectly. The car has always been garaged. The tires are Michalins with very little wear. I put the car in my garage since its purchase and only drove it a couple of times. It drives like a new car. Unfortunetly I suffered a health issue and am selling my cars as I can't work on them to any extent. I did find a Kit on the internet for $109.00 that replaces the top portion of the dash where the three inch heat/sun tear is. I had to do this to my wifes Camaro and when finished, one could not tell there was ever a heat tear. Takes about thirty minutes to make the repair. Other than that the car is perfect in every way including the am/fm original radio. I will be listing it locally so reserve the right to withdraw this ad at any time.
